As the story of redemption unfolds, it focuses on one family, the family of Abraham. This family grows into a large nation but find themselves in Egypt as slaves. But God brought them out of slavery by the blood of a spotless lamb. All of this points forward, to the Advent of the Savior, who was the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

The Story of Redemption begins in Genesis 1 with God creating everything good, reflecting his own character and nature. The good of creation is short lived as sin enters in. Mankind is enslaved to sin and in need of redemption. Even in the dawn of sin, God promised to provide a redeemer. As we look forward to Christmas, the baby we celebrate in the manger is the promised redeemer.
