Bringing Back Humanity in Business.
In the current markets, sellers and realtors are all seeking for top dollar. Not this transaction...
After losing on multiple offers on other properties, our phones ping with a new listing and within hours we were there to view it. It was love at first sight as we were Facetiming the husband, who was at work. We immediately wrote an offer, knowing that tomorrow is fully booked for showings.
We had the opportunity to express our intentions of this home, in such a genuine and heartfelt way. The sellers didn't even counter our offer! They accepted our initial offer, knowing that they could have gotten $10K+ more.
The power of humanity in business is unbelievable. It shed many tears of gratitude for my clients and I, and one of the most refreshing transactions in this market filled with multiple offers.
Congratulations to all of our buyers!
In a world filled with social pressures to look a certain way, listen in on this episode to hear from the insider; Someone who runs her own business, with the approach of nutrition, and self love before making any physical changes.

Why are most women always caught being the "Yes" person. We take more shit, get our teeth kicked in and take crumbs - all while still saying Thank You!
Let's listen to get familiar with who your ideal clients are, but let's really dive deep on who your non-ideal clients. There's some characteristics of clients that don't sit right with me, and I've learned that it's okay to walk away. I've walked away from more than I ever thought I could this year, and I've understood my time is better off not working, and taking the time off versus grinding it out trying to please a client that doesn't appreciate it.
Also, if you want to learn how to say NO - search up "No Fucks Given" by Sarah Knight and look for episode 103. "The Joy of No".

I had a pleasure of interviewing Grace Bartley in Vancouver, BC. When Grace's hospitality job took a dive when pandemic hit, she turned her free time into something fun, engaging and enjoyable. Grace is an influencer for fashion, and that's how she stays connected with her daughter in LA! Their relationship and bond is unbreakable as they use Instagram in such a positive way. Grace doesn't focus on the aesthetics, she focuses on moms connecting with their daughters and has inspired so many already. Being a Gen Xer, many doubt and say she's too old to be doing this, but Grace is so focused on the positivity from the people she's touched.

2021 will be no different than 202, if you're going to do the same things. COVID doesn't go away, we're still in lockdown, and really, our minds and bodies are still the same.
This episode is very hands on, as you can take time hear how I've done my goal setting, and having yourself answer some questions for you.
We talk about what to bring with us in 2021, and what we're leaving behind. I came into 2021 being scared about some of my plans; like growing our family. That shouldn't have to be the case, but with the limited time my lifestyle allows, having a baby only seemed more stressful. But it's like a double edged sword because growing our family is incredibly important to us. This year, I'm doing many things different. One of them is hiring a coach to guide my through my next season of life, because I don't know how...
I get very personal where I read you my 2021 vision. This I will read every day as apart of my morning routine to keep on track for all things this year. This year, my keyword is BALANCE.
Considering a change of career and getting into real estate?
Listen in, because this episode is full of nuggets for a brand new realtor. We talk about what a realtor actually does on a day to day basis from working with buyers, sellers or spending time to educate yourself. Also, the big surprise of getting started to get your license, are the licensing costs. We cover the break down of the pre-licensing fees, pre-licensing education and licensing fees, along with being on the associations and boards of CREB, AREA and CREA. Did you know it takes about 3 months to make a sale in real estate on average?
Obviously with walking into a new career, one that is the self-employed route, it can be very intimidating. So click the play button because everything we cover is to ensure you don't make silly, but common mistakes.
I hope this helps you decide your route for a new career, and also provides clarity on what steps to take.
If you have any more questions, give me a shout on IG!
And if you're looking to interview a brokerage, definitely connect with me so I can get you in front of my amazing manager at CIR Realty.

Being self-employed can be one of the most challenging, but most rewarding careers to have. It gives you the freedom to decide when and where you will work and the flexibility to set a schedule that allows you to work at times that best fit your needs.
If you’re considering going to business for yourself, I encourage you to do the research and ask all the questions to figure out how to build the concrete foundation – setting up your business like a real business, budget your money and set your goals.
No boss – no one to put their thumbs on my head to determine how much I made. I remember when I got a promotion in the hospitality industry because the manager before me had quit, I learned that I made $4 an hour less than she did, even though I assumed the exact same position. Obviously this wasn’t a male vs. female wage, but more of she was in her early thirties and I was 19. I worked harder than she did, I took my job more seriously than she did, I was show up early and stay late but none of that mattered to the higher ups.
I didn’t want to climb the corporate ladder. Start in the field, work your way to management, then upper management and then what? I looked at my upper management’s lifestyle, and I did not want anything to do with it. They’re working 10-12 hour shifts and most times it’s from 10am-10pm… Your entire day is locked up between 4 walls. Where’s the freedom in that? It also took many people in management decades to get to their position, to make the money they make. But what if I wanted to make that kind of money in a couple years instead of 20 years?
There is still a gender pay gap. Canadian women make $0.84 for every dollar men make according to Glassdoor INC. For example, if a women makes $50,000 salary, the man can do the same job and get paid over $58,000. If you’re a female and listening, there’s a chance you’re not getting paid what you’re worth. It is substantially different for a working women than a man.
We’ll cover what to expect, consider and see if it’s worth it for you!

Welcoming our very first guest speaker to the show! Elise Montgomery is a proven business and success coach for women in real estate. She is committed to empowering her clients to design a business that truly serves them at the highest level in income, lifestyle and passion. She has been featured in Forbes and currently sits on the Forbes Coaches Council. She's on a mission to show female entrepreneurs that they can make way more income and impact than they ever thought possible while creating a lifestyle that lights them up.
Us women are wired differently where defining our 'why' can be almost self-destruction. It adds so much pressure as an entrepreneur, and it's so big where it can paralyze us. Instead, paint your vision... "It's December 31, 2021 and I've accomplished..."
Here you can get a grasp of what you need to do to stay on track and not steer off of your goals, while still having a lifestyle you want to live. Making the multiple six figures won't feel rewarding when all you get to do is work, work and work some more. The harsh mentality of "I'll sleep when I'm dead" does not have to be the answer to your success.
