The Incarnation of Christ is linked to other doctrines- immutability- impassibility- hypostatic union- etc. -I'm concerned about -hyper immutability - and hyper impassibility. A hyper-immutable god cannot become anything. An immutability that is too rigid must by necessity deny the incarnation of the Son. The Word became flesh cannot exists in a hyper-immutability construct.
The Divine Word, the Logos, became a human and yet remained Divine. The Word is a Person with two natures. He is the God-man
When a person appreciates the revelation of who Jesus Christ, they receive Him, they believe upon Him. Reception or rejection- really, those are the only two responses to Christ.
From the sermon this morning- A godless Christ is a product of satanic origin- the Ariuses, the liberals, and the cults do try to invent a toothless lion of Judah when they attempt to un-deify Jesus. A Jesus who isn't Almighty God is as safe as a defanged and declawed circus lion performing for its masters.

What did Jesus mean -He hadn't ascended yet-- Jesus already accomplished atonement on the cross- He declared -it is finished-- The ascension spoken here in John 20-17 is the throne , not the altar.
No surprise that the unregenerate hate Christ and the Doctrine of Christ's return. The scoffers will scoff, but don't lose heart brethren-
