This podcast is literally a Bible study/commentary. Each episode will cover a chapter at a time, starting with a read through, followed-by a breakdown of the content. My hope is to provide a resource that will aid someone in their personal journey through life.

Everyone has the right to a fair trial, Humans will be humans, The Levites get evenly mixed in, and God stays true to his word.
Joshua sends out 7 Lewis and Clarks, Israel pulls names out of hats and Benjamin somehow gets the small piece, Joshua psychs out Judah and gives Simeon some of its portion, and Joshua steals a nice slice for himself right in the heart of everything.
Was Joshua the most progressive leader of all time in giving land to women during the ancient era?, Joshua is an enabler; when two tribes complain that they don’t have enough he lets them take more but doesn’t give them any help, then I try to put more words around how I think about both this dimension and why God commanded genocide.
An old man request an audience with Joshua, Joshua learns of Moses’ outstanding debts, the old man passes a PT test then evicts a people group, and Judah is told what land it now owns whether they actually have it or not.
This episode is a break from the norm in pretty much every way I can think of. So I’m sorry or you’re welcome. But, these chapters are repetitive and essentially void of any narrative. So this is an express episode where I overthink and apologize a ridiculous amount. My plan is to resume a more “normal” format going forward but there is a lot more boundaries to be described, so…
The Alliance Against Israel musters a horde, ‘THERE WAS A FIREFIGHT!!’, many dedications to destruction, and “the land had rest from war.”
The Amorite Alliance attacks the traitorous Gibeonites, Joshua out-maneuvers and out-flanks the army laying siege, God makes sure he is heard from in this whole thing, and Israel follows the beard crumbs and ends up with half of the promised land.
The promise land turns into a Megazord against Israel, A Hivvite splinter group concocts their own survival plan, Joshua gets hoodwinked, and then there was a lot of grumbling.
God gives Joshua the green light, Joshua devises a devious plan, Joshua spends the whole battle just pointing his spear, and how many days did it take to bless Israel?
Israel starts to feel itself a little, Joshua gets yelled at for ripping his clothes and messing up his hair, God hosts an electric lottery event for all of Israel, and I cannot imagine the horror that then unfolded suddenly after that very event.
Jericho locks it down, Seems like God has a thing with sevens, There will be Blood, and by the way… all the treasure belongs to God so you can’t have it.
Feels like this episode is directed by Chris Nolan, Joshua starts a proto-strongman competition, Hurry up and wait, and the next generation of Israel sees God’s power.
God is making people poop their pants, Israel stops off at mutilation station, God cuts off support for Israeli food banks, and we get our first Alien sighting!
Israel chills for 3 days, Stand back at least 2000 cubits, God makes Joshua a made-man, and Israel has a clear case of Hydro-phobia.
The Israelites head straight for the Saloon, Jericho’s counter-intel goes for a goose chase, Rahab drives a hard bargain, and Joshua learns that everyone is afraid of his super-weapon.
God spites Moses, God writes a song about how dumb His people are, Joshua becomes the new boss… very similar to the old boss, the troops are given marching orders, and Joshua works to retain his full military might.
Seems like three could be important, the Boys are back in Galilee, Peter wants to get all his clothes wet, and I still cannot understand why John can’t make things simple.
John continues to anonymously brag, Jesus plays an elaborate game of hide and seek, How many disciples pooped themselves in the locked room?, and the “Twin” finds himself in a Saw movie.
Rome is really trying to avoid conflict, the Jews need to kill Jesus but repeatedly refuse to, is Jesus James Bond?, and John still refuses to write himself into his own history.
Jesus is not a good criminal, John refuses to write himself in, Peter tries to keep a low profile, and Pilate prepares to appease the people.
