God doesn’t always work in the way we expect but he always keeps his word. When you’re deep in the trenches, lost in the valleys, or carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, remember that prayer is POWERFUL. Just look at Elijah... he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it didn’t… for 3 years! There’s power in prayer, and walls crash down when we call to God for rescue. When you can't see a way out, God can find a way in. He will show up for you. You can do it!
Do you ever find yourself afraid of what the future holds? Take heart today and know that God cares about you and has a plan for your life. Pastor Toby reminds us of three important reasons we can choose to have faith instead of fear in God's plans for the future.
Do you feel at times you've lost your excitement and zeal in life? Maybe you're walking through life everyday and it seems like you're just going through the motions hoping something big will happen that will perk you up again. In Chapter 6 of Galatians, Paul urges the Galatians not to grow tired of doing good. Doing good is hard work, especially if someone begins to doubt whether it matters. Paul is urging the Galatians to keep living in a way that is consistent with what they believe. They are free people in Christ, and God's Spirit is with them. Eternal life comes from planting God's Spirit by faith in Christ, and not by works of the flesh, we must keep doing good. The harvest will show that we planted well.
Romans 12:11 "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
If you've ever had doubts that your relationship with God was even real, you don't want to miss this one!
In today's episode Pastor Toby shares from one of his favorite stories in the Bible showing us how to get "R.E.A.L" with God. We pray this message encourages and inspires you to grow closer to God.
No matter how you struggle, or where you faulter, God is ready to meet you half way to restore and strengthen your faith! So now it's time for you to make a move! Listen in today as Pastor Toby encourages us to get in motion! Have a great weekend!
How often does the temptation to quit and give up cross your mind while going through a hard season? It can become normal to feel like you aren't good enough, or you'll never get to where you want to be. We have all been there. But Jesus commands us to be strong and courageous and to not be afraid or discouraged. He is with you wherever you go! He is with you when you're having a breakdown. He is with you when you're anxious. He's rooting for you when you're at your best and when you're at your worst. In those times, call out to Him. Remember the promises he made, dust off your shoulders and be a FINISHER!
Yesterday and tomorrow are important, but what matters most is TODAY. You are creating your future today, and you'll never change your life unless you change today.
On today's episode of Faith NOW, Pastor Toby encourages us with 5 ways to change today. Get your notes ready and let's get to it!
Many times in life we face giants and every day we're challenged to overcome many mental, physical, and spiritual obstacles. Today Pastor Toby talks us through how to rely on the protection of God to face anything this world throws at us. Be encouraged as you head into this weekend and remember, God has your back!
Romans 12:2 (NIV) says
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Only Jesus can make your path straight! He's ready to take you places if you're ready to trust in him! Get motivated this week! Stay Faith strong!
What is your motivation? God is more interested in your WHY rather than what, or how. So ask yourself. "What is my motivation?" Take a moment to think and self-reflect. Today Pastor Toby challenges us to locate our source of motivation, understand our limits, and remember to recharge spiritually. Get to a place where you can focus and lean into the holy spirit, and take just 15 minutes to read your bible in your favorite chair. God wants you to thrive, but you have to meet him halfway. Remember as you go into the weekend that God is on your side. Connect with him to recharge, look to him for revival! Stay Faith Strong!
Rest is not just for the body, it’s for the soul! This Monday you are being challenged to relax. In the middle of our busy lives we get carried away and don't allow time to recharge and reconnect with God making our relationship with Him feel weak and non-existent. Start your week off with rest. Have a great Monday!
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
It's time to get brave in our battles and unlock the door to victory! We're better together. Listen along today as Pastor Toby brings us to three points on how to Help People Win!
Remember God's promises! The Bible is filled with the promises of God. When life is testing you, and your faith seems small look to God's word. Remind yourself of the promises set before you. James 1:12 says "God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." Stay motivated this Monday!
Ever wonder why God allows bad things to happen? It's a question that has echoed throughout Christianity for as long as we can remember. Today, Pastor Toby takes us into a couple passages of scripture to highlight the contrast of this question.
God is FOR you, God is WITH you and God is IN you! As you battle your way through life, take it one day at a time. Start with today, find hope and strength through prayer and fellowship, and devote time with the Lord. Get your hopes UP!
In today's episode Pastor Toby encourages us to stay steadfast, have healthy life management, and remember who you are and who you're becoming throughout your journey. If you feel like giving up, if you feel like you aren't reaping reward from what you've harvested, remember God's timing is perfect. Keep your bucket full!
Have a great weekend!
John 15:4-7 says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." As believers, we have the great privilege of living a life of constant, moment by moment connection with the Lord. The closer you are to God, the more you experience His peace, His love, His power, His joy, His health, His provision and more in your everyday life. Just how close you are depends on you, because He’s already given it all to you in Jesus Christ! Stay connected with him as you walk through life this week and be encouraged by his goodness!
Renewing your mind, body and heart can be very complicated. But it doesn't have to be... It starts with realizing there is a need for revival in your life. Are you discouraged? Are you having trouble living out God's calling? Have you been nudged by the Holy Spirit and don't know how to respond? The 15 minute chair challenge is a great way to start. The challenge is simple if you're up for it. Take 15 minutes out of your day, find your favorite chair, read scripture and pray. That's it, just 15 minutes of uninterrupted connection. Ask for God to guide you and show you what's next for your life. Let's defeat discouragement!
Have a great weekend!
Happy Monday!
Let me challenge you with a question. What are you depending on to "have a great day"? Does it depend on how quickly your kids wake up, get dressed and leave for school? Maybe it depends on your boss's mood? Or the weather? Or does the tone of your day depend on how long the line is at your favorite coffee place? We may not notice it, but there are plenty of things in our daily routine that we rely on to have a great day. One small mishap may throw the whole day off but imagine what happens when we fully depend on the Lord instead these worldly things. I challenge you to start your day off connecting with God through prayer and ask for his presence to stay close. Ask him to be the foundation and source of the attitude you posses throughout the day. Ask for patience and love to radiate from you as you deal with difficult situations. Ask for courage and strength to overpower your weaknesses. Go out today depending on the Lord and his promises! You can do it!
Dead from sin and alive in Christ
The great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said "You can't stop a bird from landing on your head. But you can keep it from building a nest." How does this translate to you? The truth is, whether you're facing something difficult in your life right now or God has answered all of your prayers you may still feel like life is pulling you down. Today, Pastor Toby talks us through this passage in Romans chapter 8 where the apostle Paul wrote "Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live." There is an element of self control in this. Because Jesus died on the cross our debt is paid. But we have the job of overcoming our sin patterns. Sin does NOT have to have dominion over you. Work on your transformation, be an overcomer and live in victory knowing the price for your sin has been paid in full. The living God loves YOU beyond measure!
In today's motivational minute Pastor Toby challenges us with this question... Where is your security? Is in it your career? Your family? Your friends/lifestyle? Your good looks? If your security is in any of those things, you may be shocked to know that it isn't as secure as you think. In Psalm 23:1David says "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." In describing the Lord as his shepherd, David is calling upon his own experience when he tended to his family’s sheep as a youth. He knew well the importance of the shepherd in guiding, protecting and caring for the flock. David was secure in his relationship with the Father, his shepherd. And your relationship with God is also very important. SO important that it should be the very bedrock that you stand on each day. In every decision, in every emotion, we look to God! Have a blessed Monday!
Today Pastor Toby talks us through Ephesians 2:1-7. We were dead in our transgressions and sins, following our fleshes desires and deserving of wrath BUT GOD who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ Jesus. God doesn't just tolerate you. He loves us entirely and made us ALIVE with Christ when we were doomed for death. You are the object of his never-ending love. We fall short everyday, BUT GOD still loves and believes in us. Wherever you have been, and no matter what you've done. He loves you the same when you're in the valley as he does when you're on the mountain. Find comfort in those promises today!
In today's motivational minute Pastor Toby encourages us to stay focused on God and his promises. Find comfort in the fact that if God is for you who can be against you? Have a great Monday!
In today's episode Pastor Toby brings light to Paul's perseverance during his time in prison. As he was arrested and convicted of preaching the gospel, Paul's struggles became very real. Reflect on a time you were in a situation you thought would never resolve. How did you overcome that struggle? In moments of weakness we should always first take our struggles to the Lord. What does this mean? It means before anything, before reacting, before speaking out of anger, before feeling hopeless and defeated, we pray. We ask for God's strength, wisdom and perseverance. We ask to be courageous and stand tall when life strikes us down. We take spiritual defense and put on the full armor of God. Lastly, remember that you aren't alone. As the church we are all in this together. Reach out, find community, and stay strong in your faith.
Do you have a bad case of the Mondays? In today's motivational minute Pastor Toby talks about the struggle of finding our purpose in a world that constantly challenges our faith. Tune in and turn your Monday around!
How do I humble myself? Humility, according to the Bible, is not something we can just up and do. In order to win the battles of broken bonds and spiritual warfare, we must put a daily effort into staying humble. But what does that look like? Here are a few examples of how to humble yourself before God.
These are just a few examples of ways you can practice humility. We encourage you to study the word, open your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit and seek his wisdom. Have a great week!
In today's motivational minute, Pastor Toby talks us through identity struggles. For as long as humans existed we've let the opinions of other define us. In ways big and small. Have you ever heard a rumor said about you and just couldn't get it out of your head? You may get angry, discouraged, or even feel betrayed. Maybe you're constantly comparing yourself to others around you. How do we change this way of thinking? It starts with letting go of your need for acceptance from others and allowing yourself to find your identity in Christ. We hope you find encouragement in this today!
Every day we make a choice to live in pain or live in peace. What would your life look like if you chose to live in peace? God's plan is to give us hope and a future but, God says that we WILL go through pain. Pain and loneliness can be overcome! When we learn to confess to God and seek His strength, we can endure any of the heartaches that we face!
What’s God’s plan for your life? It’s one of the most common and confusing questions we all have as Christ-followers. But, if we’re honest, the idea of God’s plan for our lives can be a little overwhelming. Sometimes in life we find ourselves still dreaming the dream but not living the dream. Feeling "stuck" has the potential to lead to discouragement and unhappiness. God offers healing for those who are searching for answers to both their identities in Christ and those struggling to see the next step in life. The good news is God had a plan long before your first breath. Find a new sense of Hope, grow your Faith to be strong, and lean into His presence. He has something in store for you.
To be holy is to be different than the world. The Lord God commands those who follow Him to reflect His character and love. We find that holiness does not just get rubbed onto you. You could have contact with the most holy people, but you need to respond and make a choice to live a holy life. God has a bigger and better plan for each of us, and that involves holiness.
With every victory comes more endurance to breakthrough the difficult things we face in life. With God and all of heaven cheering you on, remember to never give up! Galatians 5:16 says "So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves." As you walk in step with the spirit you will begin to bear it's fruits; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Stay Faith Strong!
In today's social media driven culture we see more and more of the trends "exposing" and "cancelling". We all have parts of us we would rather keep hidden and parts of us we want to show off to the world. This can easily paint a false picture of who you "really are". God knows everything about us down to the number of hairs on our head. (Luke 12:7) He knows our bad habits, our dirty secrets, hears our intrusive thoughts, and yet he still loves us more than we could ever imagine. Find delight in that today. Remember that you are his creation and you are worth dying for.
Have you ever had a broken heart? Or maybe you're brokenhearted right now. Pastor Toby's encouragement in todays motivational minute is that God is always close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18-19 says "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time." Place your broken heart in the hands of the Father, trust and believe that he is near, and get ready for rescue.
What is the focus of The Last Days? Is it the mark of the beast or the anti-christ? Too often, the end times are associated with darkness, fear and worry. Maybe you aren't ready spiritually? Will the Lord recognize you as His good and faithful servant? The time to start preparing your heart and trusting in the Lord is now. Eternal life is only found in Jesus!
Instead of asking God "Why am I going through this?" we should remember to ask "What are you preparing me for?". Worry can dominate our thoughts, influence our emotions, and drain our physical resources. Like a tree that keeps growing and bearing fruits, so is our faith in the Lord. Faith must continue to grow to bear the fruits of the Spirit. Let go of what is hindering you and allow God to lead you into the better days ahead.
The most important breakthrough that you can have is a spiritual breakthrough. God has ALWAYS been in the business of miracles and breakthrough. Many of us find ourselves "stuck" in the everyday cycle of life and its burdens. Not knowing where to turn and taking matters into our own hands, we're left feeling helpless and lost and in desperate need of a dramatic life-change. A spiritual breakthrough is closer than you imagine. As Christians our responsibility is to position ourselves to receive his blessings and wisdom through prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us along the way. If we stay obedient like Abraham, steadfast like Moses, Courageous like David, and faithful like Elijah just one simple change in your spiritual diet will make a world of difference in finding your breakthrough.
We have all found ourselves feeling like a little fish in a big pond. We're reminded in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Have you ever wanted to see into your future? Maybe you want to see if you ever turn your life around, if you'll ever get through a dark season you're in, if that job, relationship, or personal dream ever comes to fruition. The good news is before we were born God created a masterpiece for each of our lives. Even through pain and struggle there is a purpose and impact that is made when we simply follow his will. In the mean time, take time to pray and seek the lord with all of your heart. Trust that he is good and his plan is wonderful and stay motivated.
Do you find it difficult to see your struggles through to the end? Is it hard for you to find the strength to fight life's battles and stay positive through it all? Pastor Toby offers an important encouragement to you today to help you find where that determination truly comes from.
God never says, “Oops.” God is in control of the trials. Even if I can’t see how, I can be confident that God is working for his glory. This helps us to stop worrying about how things are going to work out. There is power in his presence and my heart is peaceful when I remember that God is in control and I can handle it!
We cannot depend on our own abilities. In John 14 Jesus tells us "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, also believe in me." God will supply your every need if you let him be in control. Give Him first place in your heart and in your life, make the DAILY choice to trust in him and lean not on your own understanding. Connect deeply with God and allow him to reveal his faithfulness to you.
Start your Valentine's Day with a motivational message from Pastor Toby. Through it all we will PRESS ON!
In Philippians chapter 3 Paul encourages us to redirect our focus to forgetting the past and look forward to what lies ahead. Turn the trials you're facing RIGHT NOW over to the Lord and REJOICE for he has overcome the world. Victory lies with those who are faithful in spite of their failures, courageous in the midst of challenge, and those who persevere through pain. Make that choice to declare victory today. With one day at a time and one step at a time we'll see true change through the power of the prayer and FAITH. Happy Valentine's Day!
Have you ever thought, “Where is God in all of my struggle"? Maybe a scary diagnosis, the loss of a relationship, or just feeling like you'll never get out of seemingly endless mental warfare. Overwhelmed and full of doubt we tend to question God's presence. There were many figures in the Bible like John the Baptist, Job and even Peter who had their own doubts and questioned God. In this episode Toby encourages us to remember who our God is and that our faith is far more important than our failures. YOU CAN DO IT!
Hebrews 11:1(NIV)Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance for what we do not see."
FIGHT your urge to quit!
2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Have you ever wanted something SO desperately that despite the hindrances and setbacks you persevered until you had it in your grasp? Well, walking with Jesus is similar. Though the road to the finish line can be long, frustrating, bumpy, and filled with so many ups and downs, you can determine to fashion your life like the Apostle Paul and keep your eyes on the prize! God will give you the strength to keep on going and to finish strong. Fight the urge to quit, protect your faith, and FINISH STRONG.
Overcoming difficult seasons can feel impossible when you’re going through them. But thankfully, GOD is able to do MORE than what we ask or imagine. I challenge you to sit down and read your Bible for 15 minutes every day. God can do more in 15 minutes than we could do in a lifetime. With this opportunity, may we all have GREATER FAITH and become enabled to drive out every worry with the power of His word. Stay FAITH strong!
START YOUR WEEK OUT RIGHT!

Psalm 3:1-8 NIV
Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him. But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
The presence of trouble does NOT prove the absence of God but allows the opportunity for people to see the abundance of God! God is ever present in times of trouble! GOD IS STILL IN CHARGE! There are great people and good things happening in our world today, regardless of what you hear in the news.
Psalm 121:1-8 NIV
I lift up my eyes to the mountain-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand;the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
