How do you think is to have a podcast mentor, as your 90th Podcast guest!

Well we are super excited when Bijay Gautam, Co-Founder at WYN Studio; Host & Founder of podcast - The Inspiring Talk, was on this side of being interviewed, on my landmark 90th Podcast!

Bijay came across as a person who is really humble, and who did not shy away from talking about how he wasn’t 'good enough', to creating self belief in whatever he does now.

This podcast is definitely for those who want to start their podcast journey or who are already in their podcast journey and want to hear more about it (a few hacks 😉)

Bijay says Podcast is that powerful medium where 'your story is someone’s elses medicine as it can heal and inspire people' - True That!

Here is what he says for the Podcasters :

• Know 'why' you are doing a podcast

• Create good content & audio quality

• Know your guest properly

One critical thing (besides so many), I learnt in this Podcast is, that if you are recording a podcast, don’t forget to press the recoding button (which I did!)

After nine years of working in the Indian entertainment industry like Sony, Zee and The Times Group, Shailesh started Ormax Media is 2008, as India’s first and only consulting firm specializing in the media & entertainment sector. Infact, Shailesh mentions very strongly that one should learn the tricks of the trade and build experience, before stepping into entrepreneurship!

Entrepreneurship he says is not an easy task, it takes a toll as there is no hiding place, but loving what you do passionately, and building a great organizational culture is a win win. Shailesh loves sports and politics and enjoys writing, especially on the topics of entrepreneurship and trends in the Indian media sector.

Some take aways :

• Entrepreneurship is empowering yet comes with bundles of responsibility, there is no short cut

• Building trust between employer and employees is the biggest asset for an organization

• Being “process oriented” is not an anti-thesis to being “people oriented”

• If you work with passion, growth and success is a byproduct

• Being conscious of different generations we work with, helps to bring in a holistic way of work culture, rather than one size fits all

• Whatever you want to do, give yourself few years of learning, rest of the career will benefit from this learning

The podcast talks about fun, games, and Food, a perfect place for the younger ones to join the culture of Ormax!

Divya Arora, Mithai Connoisseur, Co-Founder of Kesar, a seeker for life, from the Pink City (Jaipur) in India, is redefining the look, feel, taste and the warmth of Indian sweets.

Being a true believer of, "What your mind can perceive, it can conceive", Divya Arora is always open to learning and building on new ideas. She has a doctorate in Naturopathy & Yoga and is also a Pranic Healer, and calls herself a river, who flows with openness and adaptability to where life takes her, to make the best of what she has got.

Kesar (saffron), is a part of every Indian celebration, and with this thought and to brining in the real flavour by transmitting the right energies with love and healing, Divya is a person of conscious living.

It was like our energies met, or may be there is something special about Jaipur that makes me connect with people at a deeper level, this conversation touched some inner cords.

Its unfair to wrap up this podcast with these highlights, and would urge you to hear it fully and take your own learnings from there, I know you won’t be disappointed.

• We need to recognise ourselves as a being, without the roles we play in our lives

• We are not doers, we are just an instrument to play a part

• Our “learning cost” is actually learning by mistakes, we should see this as an investment

• When we allow ourselves to listen deeply, we can see the light inside us

• When we are constantly seeking knowledge outside, we are not respecting our own wisdom that lies within

• When something collapses, its called “creative destruction”, which helps for something unique to be born

Back again at my favourite place Kunzum Cafe, to record my in person podcast with Anisha Motwani.

Anisha Motwani as I know her is a lady who has stormed many norms, and has been instrumental in disrupting and rebuilding brands as an independent Brand, Digital & Innovation Consultant, and Founder of Storm the Norm Ventures. She is also author of the book with the same title, "Storm the Norm" – a first-of-its-kind collection of contemporary stories of truly inspiring businesses and brands from India that either wrote or rewrote the norms of their respective industries.

Anisha very confidently says "If you love your brand; set it free". They are like babies, give them the right purpose, and the right value system and then see them blossom.

She works very passionately in the space of women empowerment and insists that every woman should make herself and her work visible without blurring the roles. As per Anisha when we work whole heartedly and authentically, our personal brand gets built naturally and organically, just we need to be believe in our unique voice to get noticed in the clutter.

There is a lot of personal and professional experiences and learnings that Anisha has shared without mincing any words. Here are a few highlights :

  • There is nothing called as work-life- balance, it is Work-life-choice

Disclaimer: This is a very heart to heart podcast ! Its also mostly in Hindi, and as Nand Kishore Chaudhary says, when hearts connect, language is not a barrier.

'The rugs to riches story', Nand Kishore chaudhary, often referred to as the ‘Gandhi of the Carpet Industry’, is a person with an enigmatic heart, full of empathy, love and spreading joy. He also happens to be the founder of Jaipur Rugs, as he very beautifully says: We are in the business of creating experiences, bonding families, beautifying homes and our carpets are free.

NKC sir started his business with a vision to find his inner self, which absolutely resonates with my vision too! Covering a journey of four decades, countless stories, and an indomitable spirit; full of love, compassion, and perseverance, NKC sir strongly believes that the future and the success of all businesses is emotional intelligence, how we connect with people, how we create a world of love, kindness, empathy, integrity, simplicity, humility and shared wisdom.

It is hard to compress this beautiful conversation as every sentence has a deeper, lifelong meaning to it, here are few glimpses of the same:

  • If you love yourself, if you love what you do, and your people, it will start overflowing that it will touch others , that’s emotional intelligence
  • Till the time you don’t dirty your hands and get deep in whatever you are doing, real success won’t come
  • Self love brings in self worth
  • Real business happens when we are able to impact society

With just two looms and nine artisans in 1978, Jaipur Rugs today is truly a global social enterprise, exporting to over 60 countries while providing sustainable livelihood to 40,000 artisans, in 600 remote villages across five states in India, out of which 80% of them are women.

Though I have had more than 84 people come and share their lives (personal & professional), this podcast is different, it is without any filters, it has pain, authenticity and a lot of hope.

Manmeet Narang is a poet with a lot of depth, inspired by life and work of Amrita Pritam, a powerful voice and a courageous heart, that’s what Manmeet Narang is for me. She is the founder of Sailing Leaf, A radio jockey who is set to touch lives by her beautiful and authentic voice.

We talked about loving ourselves first , creation of sisterhood and its power, patriarchy, and that as women we don’t need to fit everywhere, accept ourselves with imperfections, and infact take vows to be our own true companion.

This podcast made me lose my words, touched deeper cords for me, and I am sure a lot of it will impact you as well.

Some highlights of this conversation are:

  • We need to take responsibility for self and stop victimizing by blaming external situations
  • Parents are the source of who we are, yet something stop us from being ourselves with them, think we all need to reflect on this to create a better bond
  • Happiness & sadness are emotions, they come and go, what remains with us is our purpose
  • Don’t hold yourself back to tell someone what they mean to you, hug them often, spread love
  • Sabr (Patience), Shukra (Gratitude) and Sukoon - (Eternal Peace) three powerful life strings
  • Learn to say 'NO', and create your own boundaries
  • Be naked with no filers - lets dare to be ourselves
  • Be proud of your vulnerabilities

Service to others, is my SecondAct, that’s what His Excellency Ambassador Terry Earthwind Nichols, lover of Indian Garlic Naan, said when I asked him what gets him out of bed every morning (his higher purpose, his #SecondAct).

His Excellency Ambassador Terry Earthwind Nichols is a Visionary Strategist for people who are looking for ‘achievement based’ vs. ‘goals based’ strategies for their business. Amb. Terry is the Chairman of Evolutionary Healer, a global transformational performance improvement company. He is a UN Peace Ambassador At-large and has held several C-suite level positions as VP, COO, CEO, and President.

Ambassador Terry Earthwind Nichols is an author of 8 books including “Consortium - Business Model for the 21st Century” and Global Top 10 Thought Leader in several categories, including Business Strategy. He was recently awarded the Top 50 Marketing Influencers to Follow in 2022.

When he’s not strategizing brilliant global plans with his mentees or corporations, Amb. Terry can be found doing intriguing interviews, planning his next vacation, or savoring a Maker’s Mark Manhattan at his favourite restaurant in a suit he designed himself.

Some powerful notes from this Podcast for an “achievement based leadership” are here;

  • The way we think and respond to any action , makes us conscious leaders
  • In order to control burn out, we all need to be selfish and must love ourselves first
  • Happy people are healthy people, and organizations should build happy colleagues
  • Authenticity is a value that makes great leaders
  • Failures = learning opportunities
  • Success is right here, right now, enhancing lives of each other
  • Presence is the point where manifestation becomes action

  • Warmth and resilience are super powers of a woman
  • It’s important to work on one’s passion
  • Mental health should be the top most priority and conversations around the same should normalise
  • Stay determined and many doors will open
  • The charm of old Delhi is in its culture, warmth, narrow lanes, and it’s delicious mouth watering food

"Naked".

As per google, Naked stands for (especially of feelings or behaviour) expressed openly; undisguised, and this is an apt series of podcasts run by our podcast guest Nektarios Liolios, where he talks about mental health with entrepreneurs and brings out vulnerability and challenges in their lives!

Nektarious landed in the financial sector, with a non-financial mind as he says. He is an Ecosystem builder, Mental health advocate & Fintech entrepreneur.

Over the last 10 years, Nektarios has worked closely with hundreds of entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses. He is the co-founder of The Future Farm. Cofounded Startupbootcamp FinTech and Rainmaking Innovation and led the Innotribe Startup Challenge, the first global FinTech startup competition.

Driven by entrepreneurship, collaboration and the desire to improve the lives of people, Nektarios is a global nomad, travel geek, and sneaker freaker.

There were lots of key learnings that came out through this podcast:

  • Have the courage to make strong choices, when you are mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted
  • We need to make our work purposeful, fun and value-driven
  • Entrepreneurs face far more challenges than anyone else, we need empathy and vulnerability to go hand and hand
  • We need to create safe spaces at personal and professional levels to talk about mental health
  • One must learn to give oneself permission to reach out for help and to accept if one is struggling
  • Reaching out for Therapy is hygiene, we all need it

This podcast has all flavours. We travelled from phycological to mental, to physical to financial wellbeing, and the need to have authentic conversations!

Dreams are never static, they keep evolving, they keep changing - says our very "well read" guest of Discover Your SecondAct Podcast Episode 79, Mr. Ajay Jain, founder of Kunzum Books (formerly popular as Kunzum Travel Café).

What made this conversation even more special was shooting at the beautiful Kunzum outlet in DT Mega Mall in DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon. It’s a beautiful book café, where you actually don’t pay for your coffee; all Ajay wants everyone to do is to read at least 30 minutes a day, and he says magic will follow.

Ajay’s life has been of various acts, and each act was challenging but it really evolved him as a person. He very confidently says that if one does not experiment, how will we embrace failures and grow from there, and discover the hidden second act and various acts rather!

When the intention is right to create Kunzum as a space for people’s growth, this initiative is unstoppable. Coming from a person who is thoughtful, believes in conscious living and is already ready for another act this conversation is definitely inspiring.

Philanthropy, empathy, kindness, and the will to extend a ‘helping hand’ to those in need, are the crucial elements that will fill the empty voids in our society.

“It took me 6 months to figure I had arrived at the destination. A new journey, a new chapter of life begins from here”, said Naghma Mulla, President and Chief Executive Officer at EdelGive Foundation, General Board Member at Goonj, Core committee member at India Climate Collaborative.

Naghma has driven the vision of the Foundation, strengthened the core principles of collaborative philanthropy; and transformed it from a grant-making foundation to a philanthropic asset management platform. She’s on a mission to deform, reform, and create a better space by taking tiny but indispensable steps, one day at a time.

Key Highlights of the Podcast:

  • Visualize the issues and take steps to solve it
  • Show the right direction to those in need
  • Go to the root of the problem
  • How to make giving easier and receiving all the more easier
  • It is important to fuel the FIRE in women
  • Bridge the gap between those in need and those who have in abundance

We as a society need to harbour the idea that small steps lead to a bigger change. It is you, your thinking and how you approach life that will result in a better, beautiful, and brighter world.

There are many who talk the talk, but rarest are those who walk the talk. Naghma belongs to the latter category.

Tune in for a sneak peek inside this philanthropist’s personal and professional life. Listen to her #SecondAct and you’ll know she is a true philanthropist by heart.

Karina is a coach, a mentor, a counsellor and an empathetic human being. She is a relationship expert and also a TEDx speaker, where she spoke about 'the power of forgiveness'.

"Be with people who encourage you to express well" - it’s a true saying, as a lot can be solved if we express and are given a safe space to do so.

Key Highlights:

  • We all hold on to pain, and its important to forgive for our own healing
  • Men need to express more and explore their feminine side as well

No relationship is all sunshine, but two people can share one umbrella and survive the storm together.

To thrive in any relationship we need to pause, reflect and do littlest things together. Being mindful is really something that brings in a perspective that we might not see when we are in a reactive state of mind. Its important to know that we are all flawed, and that we need to work together and the key to any successful relationship is 'forgiveness'.

In trying to master one art, we often turn a blind eye to the other capabilities we might have. It is but the thrill of doing all that we love that makes life exciting. Such are the thoughts of our guest. He calls himself the jack of many trades and quite rightly so, we believe.

Deepak Ramola is the founder and artistic director of Project Fuel, TedX speaker, and UN action plan executor. He is also a kindness ambassador for UNESCO and a celebrated author of 50 Toughest Questions, a book that's guaranteed to make one think.

Key highlights:

  • Every journey is a story full of learnings that deserve to be told
  • There is no right answer to some questions, the answer evolves with the people
  • We live in a world that our questions create, not a world that our answers create. The most important questions are those whose answers can’t be found on Google
  • The pursuit is not of being a star but that of being a constellation, all of us are stars
  • Everyone has different survival techniques, these are what we need to learn from each other
  • If you don’t have hope your knowledge is redundant, our hope is our knowledge
  • Own your story
  • We all are dispensable; there is freedom in knowing this. It is this knowledge that makes us more open to taking risks, it makes us courageous
  • Don’t treat your talent as your gift treat it as your responsibility

Why should you listen to this podcast:

“Our lives are our SecondAct, we come trailing into this world on the glory that everyone before us has created for us” such are the words that Deepak lives by.

His words are sure to inspire you to live all your dreams and take that risk you’ve been contemplating over for so long. Motivating us to be the heroes of our lives and stop being scared of uncertainty, his words will nudge you on the path to finding your SecondAct.

Every step you take in the direction of bettering yourself is a part of your SecondAct. Such is not only our belief but also that of our guest's. Dr. Ashok Bhattacharya or Dr. B as his patients call him has been practicing individual and couple psychotherapy since 1989.

He is the founder of the Empathy Clinic, a place where he employs the power of empathy to bring out the best in people.

He is also an author and has published two amazing books to date. Most of all he is a positive thinker, who strongly believes that his best days are still ahead of him.

Key highlights:

  • Human beings practice hope, when we lose something or when something is taken away from us there is always a SecondAct
  • Empathy is seeing, listening, and feeling a person from their perspective, instead of yours
  • Clearing your mind and paying complete attention to the person who’s speaking, is one of the things to do when practicing empathy
  • We’ve all got different interests, but we’ve to know where we are at and then we can support and interact with each other
  • Addressing the presence of burnout, might be the way to avoid a breakdown
  • It’s okay; to need a break some days, to want to press the snooze button some days, to not be able to give a 100% some days
  • The reward for a habit is to feel good about yourself, the reward may not come about very quickly, but it will manifest in the longer run
  • Your SecondAct is every single reincarnation of yourself, every improved version, every new you
  • You don’t have to be motivated every day. Expecting yourself to be motivated each day is setting yourself up for failure

Why should you listen to this podcast:

On some days do you beat yourself up for not being productive enough or motivated enough? Many of us do. We expect more from ourselves each day and in doing so we unconsciously set ourselves up for failure. If you are familiar with these feelings, then this is the podcast for you. Talking about accepting the days which do not bear the best results, Dr. B impels us to be gentle to ourselves, especially when the times are not.

Let loving ourselves unconditionally be our #SecondAct

  • Intentional choices are as important as chance encounters
  • Let risk be your best friend
  • Keep asking what is not serving me and actively make it a habit to eliminate it

Gulzar once wrote:

"नाम पता नहीं, रखा भी नहीं, जानता हूं वक्त की गर्द में डूब जाएगा, गुम हो जाएगा, जो याद रहेगा सिर्फ इतना...

...मेरी आवाज़ ही पहचान है, गर याद रहे"

And what could better describe the dream of an artist?

The innate desire of being recognized for what we do and not for who we are, is one that runs through every creator. Yet the luxury of dwelling into our passions, evades us many a times. "𝘋𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰, 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰."

As life took a different course and dreams sat on the backburner, it was by making these words of Oprah Winfrey's the motto of her life that our guest for Episode 46, Priya Malik, emerged like a phoenix after a gap of 10 years.

Growing up under the magnanimity of mountains; in the hometown of Ruskin bond; the city of education; always surrounded by not only English but also Hindi and Urdu literature, that some might say destined her path of being a writer. But only a handful would have the luxury of knowing the true journey behind it all.

It is in the wheel of time that all of our stories are engraved & even though it took her a decade to reunite with her one true 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦-𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, we hope that her beautiful works are engraved and immortalized in the pages of literature. Listening to her talk about 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘱𝘺𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧- 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 and how she feels closer today to that top triangle than ever before, is sure to bring a ray of hope to all those dreamers who are not yet able to surrender themselves completely to their passions.

𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘪𝘧 𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 #𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘈𝘤𝘵!

Words of inspiration from today's episode:

  • Be the Author of your own Story.
  • It is okay to not be aware of who you are at all the times!
  • It's better to be searching than to be competing.
  • Always keep doing a little of what you love, even if only on the side.

"What we know is hardly a fistful, while what we don't know is an ocean full."

A translation of a famous Tamil quote by Avvaiyar that has proven to be a great inspiration for our guest of today's podcast K.K Sridhar. Gaining knowledge from some of the best schools of education, he succeeded in making a strong base for himself in the corporate world. He has done a number of Senior Leadership roles in MNC’s in national & Global roles for example, DVP in HUL, Operations Member, Unilever Northern Europe, Global Category Head and Global Sales Head in SCJ etc. has lived and worked in 3 continents: Asia, Europe and U.S. Even though he had carved out his niché, he never shied away from taking new journeys and exploring new horizons. Always being authentic and practicing humility, says KK are the signs of a good leader.

Establishing trust and building a safe space by drawing on one's personal experiences is his means of connecting with people. Making them feel free from fear and judgment is the goal he strives for and the most appropriate means to this, he says is by narrating your own ups and downs. Leaders of today he believes are a lot more in touch with their employees, giving them space to grow and explore themselves.

There were 4 essential things he wanted to focus on post corporate life, the 4 tiles he calls them: the first 2 assist in his rejuvenation; health & wellness, spirituality; and the other two are his means of deploying his energy; executive coaching and supporting non-profits. Happily and rather proudly he shares with us how he's been able to take up these sectors and give back to the world. His forever eager nature to learn, and his persistent efforts to grow are the tyres of his success!

Let learning to fail cheap, but learning a lot be your #SecondAct!

Baazinga moments from today's session:

• Openly saying that "I don't know" and healthy respect for someone who knows more than you is a must!

• It's okay to not know the answer to every question! Humility lies in tapping into the resources and finding solutions rather than just letting it be!

• To give up doesn't always mean to abandon, sometimes it can just mean tempering down.

• Learn to relax and ease your mind a bit from time to time!

• “I am who I am because of who we all are collectively!! If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go farther, go together” ~ Ubuntu philosophy

"The biggest tumbling blocks are in your mind and not so much in the actual execution."

Such is truth of our existence, to conquer the world we all need to first conquer our own minds. The need to work on ourselves is far superior to anything else, investing time on oneself is a requirement that needs our earnest attention. Stressing this point with much more vigour is the guest of our episode for this week, Swanand Kelkar. An excellent student and an example for all, he spent his childhood so engrossed in books that passions had to take a back seat. It's never too late to start afresh though, and as the aspiration of discovering beyond routine surged within him, he applied for a sabbatical and began his journey towards self-discovery.

Humans are not uni-dimensional he says, we are all made of multiple facets and life is all about finding and enhancing our various dimensions. Placing himself in the hardest of situations he has succeeded in gaining internal satisfaction. Taking up diverse, difficult and engaging coaching for an year he now feels no need for an outward stimulus to induce happiness, rather it comes from within. Talking about the domination of internet he feels that platforms like zoom have been a game changer for many dreamers like him, who can now learn whatever they wish while sitting at their homes. A well calculated and planned sabbatical is he says what helped him in being so extremely productive and learn so many things, from learning and practicing yoga, to cooking, to creative writing, to dancing, to playing cricket and so on, feeling much more zener and renewed he's ready now to begin his Second Act 2.0.

Let trotting on the path of self-discovery be your #SecondAct

Key highlights from today's podcast:

  • The act of moving your body in a new way is the road to mental freshness.
  • The more you cling to things, the more insecure you become and the more constrained you live.
  • Decide what you need, a sabbatical or a vacation, before jumping into either one.
  • While it might take some getting used to, there can be nothing more fulfilling than a austere lifestyle.

"Be fearless, be brave, be bold, love yourself." ~Haruki Murakami.

New concepts and ideas are born everyday, the difference between one that floats and one that doesn't, is the same as the difference between being fearless and being a conformist. Experimenting with new things and creating novel hybrids as a means of self-awareness and exploration is the new trend! In this fast paced era, our guest for this episode: Anamika Singh, has succeeded in creating something truly amazing.

Thinking beyond the societal construct, Anamika in her journey of experimenting with flavours has brought to us some naturally delicious varieties of tea. It is solitude and silent contemplation she says that gives her the space to come up with these jaw dropping tastes. Knowing from very early on, that she wanted to be a Tea Sommelier, she started her journey as one straight out of school, and while it has been challenging at times, it has also been full of fun and excitement. It is not only in, creating new flavors but also educating people about the richness of this often overlooked beverage that keeps her motivated. Conducting workshops to create this very awareness has become a very integral part of her life.

Tea, while dominates a huge part of her life is not her only passion. Harbouring a love for photography she's tempted to merge her two hobbies. Her brave journey is an inspiration for many entrepreneurs starting out.

Let experimentation for self- identification be your #SecondAct!

Key highlights from today's podcast:

  • Where you come from doesn't matter, how much you fight to reach your destination is what defines you.
  • Tea- a drink around which relationships are built!

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” ~George Eliot.

Dreams don't survive in the world of monotony, to live dangerously one has to break free of any alien norms that try to define us. The journey to self-discovery is riddled with twists, turns and many dips, but the fruit of self-awareness is completely worth the risk; as is believed by our guest of this episode: George Vivian Paul.

Uninspired by the routine corporate structure and finding no motivation in getting up every morning at 9:00 am as a civil engineer, he decided to let his dreams lead him from designing t-shirts, to becoming a stand up comic, to a copywriter, to hosting podcasts and many more choices that he's surely yet to make, George tells us how he believes in keeping no regrets.

As a comic he says its really essential to read the room and modify the content according to the audience. Credited to be the 1st Street comic of India he talks about the importance of practicing and honing one's skills. Naming his podcasts Vivian's Irrelevant Podcast he cleverly attempts at modifying the definition of VIP. We hope that his jokes and novel perspective fill you with laughter and delight just as us!

Let taking risks for new beginnings be your #SecondAct!

Points to note from this episode:

• Live in such a way that you live free of regrets!

• Spectate without indulging and you'll be a lot more aware!

• Your worst critics are your closest people, if you win their praise, there is no doubt in your genuinity!

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is contempt prior to examination." ~ Herbert Spencer

Mindfulness about the world or even about oneself is possible only when we embrace and accept the possibility of change with open arms... Our purpose in life can be more than one, and to discover these evolving purposes we need to keep investigating and re-shaping our own selves. Sharing this ideology is the guest of today's episode: Bill Ellis.

Leaving behind his life as a corporate worker, he has successfully established himself as a certified Go-Giver & Coach, he teaches us to ask the most essential question of all- 'What's the point?' it is upon repeatedly asking ourselves this he says, that we discover our purpose. Talking about his journey as a Go-Giver and helping not only companies but also individuals in living up to their fullest potential, his words open our eyes to a fresh perspective. Very highly he talks about the yet undiscovered potential that the youth embodies as a gift of their open mindedness. An author too, he talks jubilantly about the skill, talent and perseverance demonstrated by women across generations, some of the thoughts which he has beautifully expressed in his book - 'Women Who Work'.

Things to remember from this session:

  • Acknowledging reverse mentoring could give us some much needed fresh perspective and insights!
  • Don't be afraid of unlearning to re-learn; because while we think we know everything, we might know very little!
  • In order to keep growing, keep asking a lot of questions, with each answer you'll evolve a little.

To know your purpose, your core values and being grateful is he feels his and should be all of ours #SecondAct!
