The Four Fathers
What did you learn from your father? Do you wish you had listened to him more? What if you could ask anything of him now?The four fathers podcast started when four friends, all fathers themselves, started to explore these and other questions. This soon led to other fathers sharing their stories and experiences and the podcast was born.Each episode starts with the same set of basic questions then develops into revealing and sometimes surprising conversations that help us understand ourselves and, in turn, our relationships with our own children.
In our seventh episode we talk to Andy, also known as Kweku, Nyanyo. He tells us about how his father was so strict that his friends were afraid to visit his house. He describes the background to his constantly growing family. He also explains the difficulties he had when he first started work at the same company where his father had worked and they both had exactly the same name.
In this episode one of the Four Fathers Podcast founders, Mark Harris, talks to his friend Peter Freeth. Peter talks about his father who was an engineer, he loved to build things and he loved, even more, to read the instruction manual about building things. It seems that Peter's father was a mild mannered man who sometimes surprised everyone with his entertaining ways. We also learn how Peter's life was affected by the relationship between his mother and father.
The first of our one-to-one sessions. In this episode we hear from Steve Multer, a corporate presenter and event host who also acts, sings and writes music and songs for shows. Steve talks about his relationship with his father, who also had many talents, and tells us how he feels they were never fully realised.
