Welcome to Melaninated Tea! My name is Rae and I am a young, Christian millennial who is ready to share my outlook with the world. My main focus is to enter the room with talks about navigating through life, and addressing life's problems based upon faith. The Tea I serve is Sweet, Spicy and 100% Melaninated. These conversations will dive deep into the realness of living a faith filled life as well as tendentious topics; all while creating a space for laughter, love, support and positive energy. Do you find it difficult to fully trust God's timing when there has been no movement or change? Have you created your own path opposite of the one God has lead you on? Acknowledge God in everything you do and he will make straight your paths.
Are your friends encouraging you to stay Faithful to God and find your Purpose? Or are they encouraging you to party and drink all night? It's important that you surround yourself with like minded people to serve your true desires and not be a hinderance.
Do you ever struggle with guilt, self doubt or fear? Does it make you feel as if you're drowning in your misfortune? Or does your guilt make you feel too embarrassed to bring your problems to God? You're not alone. But you must forgive yourself as he has forgiven us!
Why are boundaries important? We know it's important to protect our Faith and Morals but why is it so hard to set these necessary boundaries? Society has shown us that people will harbor their own negative energy on to us if we don't protect ourselves. Standing firm on what God has called us to do should make setting boundaries much easier.
What are the childhood memories that you hold on to the most? Are they centered around family? Or are they old TV Shows and Commercial Jingles? On this Throwback Thursday, reflect on the feelings and emotions that it gives you!
Many people can agree that there is a constant battle of trying to stay strong in your faith and living for the world. The biggest decision you have to make is trusting God completely to lead you down the right path or lose yourself in the world entirely..
Have you ever wondered why you accept toxic people into your life? Maybe the root is toxic family members, that makes you accept toxic friendships, that may lead you into toxic relationships.. This conditional cycle of toxicity needs to be addressed. Are we the ones that will put an end to this pattern?
Do you have any "deal breakers" that will make someone an automatic NO on your dating list? Are they morally incomparable traits or are you being stubborn and superficial? How about someones past.. can that hinder their future love life?
Because someone is older, are they more mature? Or does age have nothing to do with an individuals maturity? Can a young person be more mature than somebody that's older than them? How about your significant other.. Are you open to dating someone whom you have a substantial age gap with??
Have you ever dated or considered dating out of your race? How was it? Did you notice any culture differences or appropriation? Is there a stigma around Black Women only wanting to date Black Men but the interest not being mutual? Or how about the societal fetish of wanting mixed children?
According to Albert Einstein, the definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. But let's be completely honest, we're more comfortable trying to make it work with an ex than to start over and date someone else, right? Do we blame society or our own toxic behaviors?
Are you single, taken, or is it complicated? Valentine’s Day puts pressure on couples to finalize the title of their relationship status. Should we continue to spend lots of money on monetary sentiments of love? Or should it be a day of celebration for St. Valentine himself?
