Anne didn't have anyone in her family who had been to university, so that whole process alone was completely new to her, with no mentor to give her a steer in the right direction.
As many of us do Anne got caught in the "hamster wheel of life" but realised that she just wasn't fulfilled in her career. She eventually had an opportunity to retrain and grabbed it with both hands, after being told "you'll not fit in here" , whatever that's meant to mean!!?
This episode is full of great topics from, skill shortages within the industry, mental health, barriers to entry, career progression, perception of construction to females, mentorship and lots more.
