Episode🎙️ 98. The Exhaustion No One Talks About: Navigating The Weight Of it

Hey guys. Today’s episode is different. I’m not showing up with a plan, a pep talk, or a solution—I’m just showing up real. Lately, I’ve been feeling the weight of it all, and if you’re anything like me, you probably are too. So I’m sharing something deeply personal—words I wrote on a day when everything felt like too much.

This one’s for the woman who wakes up already tired. The one who pours and pours until there’s nothing left, then smiles anyway. It’s for the moms, the partners, the professionals, the dreamers—trying to hold it all together while quietly falling apart.

There’s no filter here. Just truth. If this resonates with you, if it makes you feel a little less alone—then this episode did its job.

Share it with someone who needs it. Or reach out and let me know how you’re really doing. We weren’t meant to carry it all without a place to rest. Let this podcast be that place—for you, for me, for us.

Episode🎙️ 97. F*ck Winter – Navigating Seasonal Chaos, Work-Life Balance & Finding Joy

This week, we are over it – and by it, I mean winter, exhaustion, and the never-ending grind. If you’re also feeling like Mother Nature is playing mind games, your job is sucking the life out of you, and joy feels like a distant memory, this episode is for you.

🔥 Here’s what we’re diving into:
✔️ Weather whiplash: One day it’s 70 and sunny, the next I’m shoveling snow. What kind of gaslighting BS is this?
✔️ Work vs. passion: My real job is stealing time from my podcast, and I am not okay with it.
✔️ The chaotic art of “family time”: We took all four kids to a Norfolk Admirals hockey game—shockingly, it was not a total disaster.
✔️ Forcing joy (because why not?): From sitting in the sun with cider to prioritizing date nights, I’m on a mission to make joy happen.
✔️ Marriage & mental load: Ryan has been MIA (for work, not emotionally... mostly), and I’m trying to balance everything.

🎧 If you’ve been feeling stuck in the daily grind, THIS is your reminder to carve out moments of joy – even if you have to force it.

💬 What’s bringing YOU joy right now? Message me, DM me, send a carrier pigeon – I wanna hear it!

📌 Up Next: Back by popular demand – a deep dive into manifesting (WTF is it really, and how can you actually use it to change your life?).

🎙️ 94. Chaotic Couples Episode: Navigating Our Life

In this kid-free episode of Chaotic Compass, Ryan and I sit down with a few drinks and dive into the chaos of our life together. We start with a taste test of fancy tonic waters (because why not?) and somehow end up reminiscing about some of our most chaotic moments—like that time our car broke down in the middle of a swamp with a boat in tow. 🚗💨🎣

But beyond the mishaps, we get real about what we’ve learned from each other in our relationship. From technology lessons (yes, Ryan finally ditched his Blackberry) to parenting in a blended family and figuring out how to actually fight fair, this episode is full of laughs, lessons, and a little bit of marital roasting.

Plus, we’re bringing back the habit of focusing on small wins instead of just venting about the chaos—because let’s be real, life is wild, but there’s always something good to celebrate.

Tune in for:
✔️ A (hilarious) tonic water taste test
✔️ Our most memorable chaotic moments—including breakdowns (both mechanical & emotional)
✔️ Lessons learned in love, parenting, and patience (or lack thereof)
✔️ Why the opposite of love isn’t hate—it’s indifference
✔️ A reminder to find the good in the chaos

Pour yourself a drink and join us for some unfiltered, real-life relationship talk. Cheers! 🥂

🎙️ Episode 92. Snow, Sickness, and Surviving Solo Parenting: Navigating this Week's Chaos

Episode Summary
Hey there, it’s Stefanie! Buckle up, because this week I’m spilling all the tea about the absolute chaos of my life lately. From surviving the post-holiday stomach bug apocalypse (spoiler alert: we made it!) to sneaking away for a rare kid-free weekend, and then getting snowed in with friends, this episode has it all. Oh, and did I mention solo parenting while trying not to burn the house down? Yeah, it’s been a week. Grab your drink of choice and get ready to laugh, cringe, and maybe even feel a little better about your own life.

What You’ll Hear in This Episode

Norovirus: The Holiday Hangover Nobody Wanted
Just when we thought we’d escaped the holiday madness, the stomach bug came for us. It started with my mother-in-law and then struck poor Liam just in time for New Year’s. Nothing says “Happy New Year” like cleaning up puke and praying you’re not next.

Weekend Getaway to Culpeper, VA
My husband and I finally ditched the kids for a weekend! Culpeper was a dream—breweries, cideries, and even a retro arcade where I could relive my Street Fighter glory days. Shoutout to Old Trade Cidery for their epic flights of cider. And Throwback Arcade? You’re my new happy place.

Snowstorm Shenanigans
We got trapped by snow while visiting friends outside Richmond, turning a casual hangout into an overnight adventure. Turns out, snowstorms have a way of derailing your plans and school schedules, but hey, we made the best of it with good wine and great company.

Solo Parenting: Send Coffee (and Cider)
With my husband off on a work trip, I had to manage all the things. Early-morning theater drop-offs, kid-wrangling, and even feeding his fish (which I’m pretty sure hates me). Let’s just say, I’ve never been more ready for Kylie to get her driver’s license.

Shoutouts from the Chaos

Old Trade Cidery: Second only to my one true cider love, Sly Clyde. 💻Wesbite here

Throwback Arcade in Culpeper: Unlimited free-play pinball and retro games—yes, please! 💻Website here

Culpeper’s Main Street: Y’all are killing it with the cute shops and small business vibes.

Today I talk about navigating negative opinions. It may not be the best way but it’s how I deal.

First off, I talk about how my sister recently was dealing with some very negative opinions and it spawned the idea for today’s topic. This podcast, starting off, if I had listened to people and their negative opinions, I probably wouldn’t have done it. I actually did for a little while, which is why it took a while to get it started. But you can’t compare yourself when you are first starting out to someone that has been in it for years. And that’s exactly what I was doing.

Mothers. Yeah, some mothers are super opinionated. Mine is for sure. My mother had mentioned something about me not working in my business anymore because it didn’t seem worth the trouble. She just sees the struggles and the arguments and the frustration. She really has no clue what I want because she’s never taken the time to ask. She’s also never owned a business. She has just worked for other people.

Another example – you want to be a runner. You want to do a marathon. And your mother-in-law, your mother or whoever, who has never run a day in their lives, tells you running is bad for your knees. If someone has been running their whole lives and tries to give you tips and trick, listen to them.

Tonight I try something different from my corner market, High Noon SunSips- Mango flavor.

Also, listen for some tips on how to deal with opinions.

Today we talk about trending topics from trend.google.com. We start off with Kevin Durant…. Yall I have no fucking clue. He’s basketball-IDK. I don’t know anything about that guy but I know ciders. Sly Clyde tonight – Rouge Wave!

NEVERMIND-I don’t know anything about cider. This cider was a collaboration between coffee and cider. What the what. It’s good but I’m not sure if it’s me. But check it out.

Talk about a couple of other guys I don’t know, Sonny Barger and Fernado del Solar. I have no clue-hence the name of this episode.

Let’s talk about Realtor Websites. What is up with the real estate market?!? Let’s talk about how it’s pure shit and I’m sorry for anyone who is trying to find a home to buy or rent right now.

What about Stranger Things? My daughter is super into it. I am not. I needed to go back to Season 3 since it’s been so dang long since they dropped a season. And screw your spoiler alerts. Stop posting them!

UKRAINE!! May the odds be ever in your favor. Ukraine yall. Screw Russia. They just woke up one morning and chose violence. What the fuck is going on over there?

Supreme court bullshit, inflation bullshit, red vs. blue bullshit (I’m purple), gun laws, healthy coping mechanisms, mental health crisis. I talk about it all in this episode. Buckle up and come listen to me sip and bitch.

Parking and puking in Richmond. Yea…like Bruno-we don’t talk about it, but I do…talk about it. We all have stuff we aren’t proud of. Then I talk about our weekend with the kids at the “Pirates Invade Yorktown Festival”. Kids had “Costumes” to wear except for Liam, he was not down with it. Welcome to the Chaotic Compass podcast! Today, Kylie and Liam take over to talk about more kids games that are super popular right now but don’t make much sense to me. My daughter recently listened to my episode about annoying kids games and her and her brother decided to give me a few more things to rant about for part two, so they decided to do their own episode over spring break last week (sorry we were absent because of the crazy week).

In this episode, I’ll walk you through some more kids games that absolutely annoy me these days including Among Us, Gorilla Tag, and of course, everything else that comes with virtual reality (don’t throw up). Besides this, they also talk about the silly, crazy shows that they love including Miraculous, Amphibia, and The Ghost and Molly McGee. Or in Liam’s case, totally trigger worthy. My kids are also obsessed with Encanto and rate all the songs from the show.

Last but not least, they talk about some of the shows that I loved while growing up including Family Matters, Full House, and Hanging with Mr. Cooper. THEY HAD TO GOOGLE WHAT FAMILY MATTERS WAS!!! Hello! STEVE URKEL! Keep listening to hear more, including SPOILER ALERTS for Camp Cretaceous and don’t forget to leave a comment on my Facebook, Instagram, or on my website to let me know what you loved as a kid. Welcome back to the Chaotic Compass podcast! Today, I’m here to talk about signs that there may be issues in your relationship. As a disclaimer, I would like to say that these signs are things I have seen and experienced in my past relationships. This does not in any way mean you and your significant other are in the same boat if you are seeing similar signs. It’s important to remember that everyone’s relationship is different.

In this episode, I’ll open up about being cheated on by my second husband, the red flags I saw in that relationship, and how bringing up those red flags often got turned around on me. I realized that I had two options and those were to either try to move forward in our marriage for our son or cut ties completely. I’ll let you in on what path I ultimately chose and why.

Besides this, I’ll also talk about what went down in my first marriage, including financial distrust, and how that has played a role in my current marriage. Keep listening to hear more and don’t forget to leave a comment on my Facebook, Instagram, or on my website to let me know if you’ve been through something similar. If you’re struggling, please know that I understand and I’m here for you. Let’s navigate the chaos together.

Welcome back to the Chaotic Compass podcast! Today, I am here to rant about all the annoying games that kids play these days. From Minecraft to Roblox to FNF, things have certainly changed since I was growing up. From increased anxiety and irritability to difficulty controlling emotions and more, I’m here to let you know that if you are feeling any of these things, you are certainly not alone.

Well, I’ll let you in on some of the things I’ve done to help myself cope. Keep listening to hear more and as always, let’s navigate the chaos together.

Welcome back to the Chaotic Compass podcast! Today, I am excited to have my husband Ryan back on the show to crack open a can of Four Loko Peach and talk about how our relationship first blossomed. From working together to building a friendship and eventually discovering our similarities, we’ll let you in on why timing was everything when it came to our romantic relationship. Besides this, we’ll also talk a bit about how we came to own two businesses, how we came up with the names of these businesses, and how we discovered our niche. Last but not least, we’ll share a bit about how we conquered the self-doubt that came with starting our own businesses, starting a podcast, and even getting into a relationship with one another.

There are a thousand reasons why you can’t or shouldn’t do something but it’s important to remember that if you can impact at least one person with what you’re doing, it’s so worth it. While the negativity and anxiety can easily take over, I’m here to remind you to focus on what your gut is telling you to do, to be confident in yourself, and to do what’s best for you. So, as always, let’s navigate the chaos together.
