Today’s topic: Robert Avellanet.
Robert Avellanet is a former Menudo band member. He released an English album named Heart & Soul. On the album is a song titled “Shine Your Light”. He sings: “Shine Your Light. Spread your wings together. Shine your light just like a star from heaven. You got to fight your way around. Don’t let them take you to the ground. Never give up.”
It’s a great song. It can be heard on YouTube. It has great lyrics and is also a song you can dance to. A song that can motivate you. A song that really encourages you to shine.
Robert’s true passion, motivation, and talent brought him to live in Hollywood where he adventures a new journey of artistic challenges. Not only as a musician but also as an actor. Robert writes songs, plays guitar, he’s done acting, and he’s been writing screen plays, and now he has a solo career. I’m sure he has been knee busy and has a lot of talent. I’m glad that Robert Avellanet is still active and doing great.

It was no surprise to me seeing Lawrence Beamen singing “Ol’ Man River” in a video on social media. Paul Robeson sung the song in the 1936 film version of “Show Boat”.
But Ol Man River, He just keeps rolling along.
Ol Man River is about both hope and despair. The song is talking about the Mississippi River, and Lawrence Beamen is singing the song today. He’s the echo of Paul Robeson.
Lawrence Beamen Top 5 finalist from NBC TV America’s Got Talent Reenacts Paul Robeson’s 1956 HUAC FROM RENAISSANCE to the STRUGGLE of Paul Robeson. HUAC means House Un-American Activities Committee.
On America’s Got Talent, Lawrence sang Ol’ Man River, and the audience loved his performance. Lawrence is a great actor and singer. I would love to see him in a biopic movie about Paul Robeson. I believe it would be a knock out film. When Lawrence acted out Robeson’s 1956 HUAC, he said these words:
“I’m not being tried whether I’m a communist. I’m being tried for the rights of my people who are still second class citizens. In this uh … United States of America. “
Lawrence Beamen acted as if he was Paul Robeson himself, and that’s what the people would want to see in a movie. Lawrence has the voice, the sound, and the looks of Paul Robeson. He has the charisma, and he is strong. If filmmakers don’t see Lawrence, they are blind.

The Swing Hip Hop DJ & Producer Proleter is today's Topic. Proleter is French. According to his bio, he is a self proclaimed beat maker who has risen to fame for singles like "L.O.V.E." and "Throw It Back". He is also well known for doing viral musical tributes to artists like Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.
I love his single, "Can't Stop Me" taken from "Feeding the Lions" EP available for free at proleter.bandcamp.com. From the Feeding the Lions EP, the track was released on May 30, 2013.

There is a difference between radio and podcasting. In radio, you have a license to play music by music artists. However, in podcasting, you are not allowed to play copyrighted music without permission. By permission, I was able to upload a few songs by artists with permission. You have to be sure that the artists own their own music and not their record company.
Later on, as time went by, I found music artists that allow you to download their music under creative commons license. I thought it was a splendid idea. There are so many new artists wanting their music to be heard that radio does not play. Radio seems to play only a handful of music artists over and over again. You can get tired of hearing the same old songs because radio disc jockeys will play the same songs to death. Sometimes it will make you want to call up the radio station and complain, but instead, you may switch to another station. I'm surprised that radio has not lost all of its listeners. When you listen to radio today, there seems to be no variety. I think that online radio has more variety than radio in your car. You can play all of the songs that you want to hear online, but you have to depend on the DJ to play the songs you want for radio in your car. If it had not been for the internet, I would not have found new music artists and their music.
