Welcome to Under The Jakarandas, the official Eendrag podcast by Eendragters with Eendragters for Eendragters. We aim to inspire, entertain and inform Eendragters and the broader community through story telling, guest episodes and all round good conversation!

Today’s guest is Thomas Butler. He is a current Eendragter, that is the co-founder of Tomorrow media and Helping Hand. He is also a financial and accounting advisor at Rock Blue(global nonprofit aimed at clean water and basic sanitation). He also serves Eendrag as a member of the House Committee and is currently studying his Post Graduate Honors in Accounting.

He is also an acknowledged sports physician, co-partner of American College of Sports Medicine, Senior Director of Stellenbosch University Campus Health, current president of the South African Sports Medicine Association and certified mediese educator for world rugby.

Today’s guest is Ben Jason Dixon. He is a South African rugby union player for the Stormers in Super Rugby and former Maties Rugby Captain. He is also in his fourth year studying Industrial Engineering.
Ben-Jason was named in the Stormers squad for the 2020 Super Rugby season. He made his debut for the Stormers in Round 4 of Super Rugby Unlocked against the Bulls.

Today’s guest is Ralph McDougall. He is currently a third-year studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Thus far, he has passed all his modules with distinction as well as being one of the top achieving students in his year.
He is a winner of the South African Mathematics Olympiad, the South African Tertiary Mathematics Olympiad, the Wits and UCT Maths Competitions as well as representing South Africa on the international stage.
He also spends time helping others to develop themselves through organized extra classes and coaching prospective students for the IMO and IOI.
In this episode, we get to know Ralph, how he manages his time and his routine. Not to forget, how grit and smart work has helped him push to the next level.
