This podcast is about yoga, wellness, meditation and self-love. We will explore the practice of yoga, the art of pranayama, and dive deep into self-love and self-care.
To prepare for this meditation we will lie flat on our backs with maybe a pillow or blanket supporting the head of neck, in a space that we can be undisturbed for about 15 minutes. Beginning by bringing the awareness to and focusing on the breath as it is without judgement. Observing the breath with the beginners mind, and allowing it to create space not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Taking time to release anything that no longer serves you. Using the breath is a tool to create expansion and allow relaxation to be invited into the physical body. We will continue then with a light visualization. We will create a protective light barrier around the body and invite this light into the body as a way to create even more space and relaxation. Scanning the body one section at a time giving it permission to surrender into the earth beneath you.
Join me for 20 minutes of gentle warm up yoga stretches. Turn your focus inward by noticing your breath and releasing tension in the upper body. All you will need for this practice is a quite place to sit on either a yoga mat, blanket, carpet, or pit in nature in the grass. No yoga experience is needed for this practice as we focus on shoulder rolls, simple stretches for the side boy and briefly the hamstrings.
