”By Every Word” is a Bible study podcast devoted to examining the importance and relevance of scripture in modern times for modern Christians. While topics may differ from week to week, each study will be focused on the word of God, what the word of God means to us today, and how we can use the word of God to better our Christian walk with God. Wether you are a new Christian or old Christian, each week we will strive to use the Word of God to become better soldiers of the Lord and let our light shine brighter.

We often hear it said, "Jesus Christ was 100% man and 100% human during the incarnation," but, what exactly does that mean?
Thankfully for us, it means everything, and it means that He is a savior and Messiah who can, through God's divine will, take our sins away.
To discuss this blessed truth, I am once again joined by Donnie DeBord who walks us through this idea, while also reaffirming that Christ never lost any of His Godly nature, even during His time on earth during His incarnation.
Who is God? Where is God? What is God?
These are questions that mankind has struggled with for years outside scripture to no avail. However, the Bible tells us of the deity and existence of our God, the one true living God. On Mars Hill (Acts 17), Paul stumbles across an altar, "To an uknown God." Paul uses this as a starting to point to show the reader, and all the world through the Gospel, that this unknown God exists, He lives, and He is the I AM.
On this episode, we are joined by Donnie Debord to discuss the Doctrine of God:
What kind of God do we worship? What are the characteristics of God? Where is God present? What is God's Sovereignty?
The overall story of the Bible is a story of restoration. From the fall in the Garden to our sins and shortcomings today, God allows those who love Him to be restored, no matter their shortcomings. While we are blessed to know of the eternal restoration through the Son, God foreshadows the restoration of sinner to sinless made possible with Christ with the restoration he grants to His people in the old covenant: the nation of Israel.
In today's study, I am so thankful that I am joined by Drew Kizer to discuss the implications and lessons that we are able to take from the Biblical account of Israel being freed from captivity and restored in Jerusalem that is recorded in Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther.

For this study, I am joined by Mark Lindley. Mark helps me break down the first two beatitudes, and we discuss the implications these beatitudes had on Christ's audience then, but also us today living for Christ!
In this episode, we will look at a unique situation Paul was put in to be able to speak to the people at Athens. In a different place, with a different culture, Paul uses this opportunity to reassure the people of Athens, and the Bible reader today, that God is real, He is know, and He is true deity.
Today in our Bible reading, we come across such an important part of the Story of Jesus: The Transfiguration. This is God's opportunity to announce to the world that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son, and the savior.
To reaffirm this, we are joined by Donnie Debord who so eloquent and simply signifies the importance of this account, as well as how it applies to us today!
Jesus Christ asked for those who were lost, hurting, and weighed down to come to Him, not because He wanted to scold them and get onto them, but because He wanted to give them rest. Today, we will view what this means to us, and the fact that Jesus doesn't want us to have to carry our sins anymore!
In this episode, we will view what being faithful to God can do by looking at Noah, and then also applying what the account of Noah teaches us to 1 Peter 3:20-21.

In today's episode, we will begin our reading of God's word by knowing who is going to be the winner at the end: God! God makes this promise in the Garden, and the Son defeats the devil in temptation. These two accounts give us strength and hope, because we know that we, through the blood of Christ, can also be victorious!
Being a parent is hard, being a Christian parent is even harder. Today, we are joined by preacher, author, podcaster, and parent Drew Kizer. Drew will show us how the Bible says we should treat our children, how we should parent, and how to be prepared to be the best Christian leaders we can be in the ever-changing landscape of parenthood.
Naaman was a well respected, highly regarded leader. However, Naaman also chose to put himself and his own accolades above God's divine power and position. In this study, we will view how Naaman had to humble himself and focus on God. Then, we will see how this applies to us today.
Ephesians chapter 2 is a dense chapter, reminding us about various aspects of Christian living. We are reminded that we needed salvation, we are reminded that salvation is a gift, and we also realize that salvation is not the end of our spiritual walk, but rather a beginning in the newness of our life.
This week, we will begin a new study on the book of Ephesians. This book shows us how Christians should live, how they should think, and how they should love. Over the next few weeks, we will be studying this book, and we will see how we can apply the letter to Ephesus to our own Christian walk today.
Salvation through baptism gives us new, forgiven life through the lifeblood of Jesus. In our study this week, we will examine how we should walk in our Christian way of living, if once saved always saved is a Biblical doctrine, and what it means to live our life each day as sacrifices.
Having studied baptism in the past few episodes, we will pause for moment and continue to dive more into baptism. This week, we will use the Bible to answer common questions in regards to baptism.
When a person is baptized, what exactly take place? This week, we will look at Romans 6 and 1 Peter 3 to understand the significance of baptism, what happens during baptism, and also how we should live our lives as baptized Christians.
“Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
This is the first Gospel invitation offered to mankind, and praise be to God it is still open and available for everybody today! Baptism is vital to God's plan of salvation, and this week we will begin our study on baptism and how it plays a role in God's plan of salvation by looking at examples of conversion in Acts 2 and Acts 8.
Much like repentance, confession leads unto salvation. Confession is a vital part of God's plan, as is every part of God's divine plan of how He grants the gift of salvation. In our confession, we are to confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
In our study, we will view various examples of confession, and we will evaluate common misconceptions around Christian, Biblical confession.

What does it mean to repent? How do we repent as children of God? This week, By Every Word examines these questions. using the Bible, we will dive into the idea of repentance and the implications it has both for the person wanting to become a Christian and the person who is already a Christian.
Romans 10:17 tells us: So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
To hear and to beleive are both vital parts of God's plan. In this week's study, we will examine these ideas Biblically, see what it is we should believe in, and understand that while they are harmonious, these commandments are different from one another.
Without God, there is no avenue for salvation. God knew this before creation, and prior to creating the heavens and the earth, God understood what He must do for mankind. God created us knowing we were faulted, but through His love, He gave us the gift of salvation through His only Son, Jesus Christ. This week, we will look at the plan of God, and we will use the Bible to understand that this plan is perfect
"What must I do to be saved?" This is one of the most important questions anybody can ask in their lifetime. In this study, we will begin by looking at where we find the answer to this question: the word of God. Join us for the first every episode of By Every Word.
