In this episode we discuss the topic of stress and how to manage it effectively. We define stress - that it is not the stress itself that is a problem, but rather the reaction to stressors.

Stress can be used to one's advantage if managed properly, and a positive mindset and proactive approach are key to preventing stress from becoming detrimental.

The episode highlights the importance of having a philosophy of life that guides how one approaches and responds to challenges. We learn four tips to overcome distress: starting with a to-do list, talking oneself into taking action, using time management techniques like the Pomodoro and 52/17 methods, and acting on what one knows rather than how one feels.

In a recent study, 30% of adults surveyed reported that, they have never felt the Impostor Phenomenon and that' not the case for most people. In my private conversations I've come to recognize what the 30% do right and, what the have is Self-Esteem. Put simply, people with self-esteem work better. I dive into why this is the case in this episode of #lyg; Catch you at the other end.link to survey: https://so06.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/IJBS/article/view/521/pdf

Hey Traveler! DTF is a pitstop to refuel, not for too long as we’re training to be one percent better. Every other week we deep dive into the scriptures to share Hope, Love & Encouragement just as Jesus would want us do.

We’re also passionate about productivity and knocking off that work-life balance thing.

Be a blessing and share with a friend.

Matthew 9:9-13

9⌄¶ As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

10⌄¶ While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.

11⌄ When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12⌄¶ On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

13⌄ But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’1 For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

In the bustling streets of first-century Galilee, amidst the myriad voices and stories that echoed through time, there stood a man named Matthew. He was not just any man; he was a literate member of society, a tax collector. In a world where societal roles were clearly defined, Matthew's profession set him apart. He was a keeper of records and a collector of taxes, often associated with corruption and greed.

But when the call came, when the voice of a humble carpenter from Nazareth echoed through the streets, Matthew did something extraordinary. He followed Jesus without hesitation. He left behind the confines of his tax booth, his life as a man of influence, to walk alongside a teacher who offered a message of hope, compassion, and transformation.

What makes Matthew's story truly remarkable is not just his willingness to follow, but how he leveraged his unique gifts. As a man of influence, he understood the power of introductions. He used his connections and social network to introduce Jesus to more people, bridging the gap between the ordinary and the divine. Through Matthew's eyes, we witness the transformative power of service, the ability to use one's gifts for a higher purpose.

Join us in this audioblog as we delve into Matthew 9:9-13, where we discover the profound impact of one man's choice to be of service. It's a story of transformation, of how an unlikely follower became an essential evangelist, and a testament to the enduring message of compassion that continues to resonate through the ages.

Let's listen together to the words of Matthew and explore the powerful lesson he offers us today.

God Bless You.

Creative through Scriptures (Luke 1:78-79 )

Four month’s ago, I decided to start consistently reading the scriptures and develop a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It wasn’t easy at first, but gradually I learned to trust God more and more.

In this podcast episode, I share my testimony of being half and half to going all in. It’s an ongoing series to encourage someone uncertain about what to do next with their spirituality; as you listen, may you be blessed.

Key Takeaways

Before

  • Pride (Proverbs 16:18-19)

  • Self-absorption

  • Impressing others

After

  • Submitting to God (James 4:7)

  • Inspiration through Scriptures ( Philippians 2:4)

  • Service to others (1 Corinthians 10:24)

Creative Through Scriptures is a testimony of expressing our gifts and talents in a way that pleases God.

If you’re led to share your story, I’d love to speak with you; I believe many others would benefit from you sharing your journey.

You can find me here: dropthefilter@gmail.com; make the subject ‘My Testimony’, and we will find a way to make it work. Thanks, and God Bless.
