With a continued absence of a rich and positive black history in schools in both the UK and USA, there is a growing need for us to reshape the way black history is taught, from primary school to university. Join us as we talk to Harvard Professor Jarvis Givens about his outstanding book on black education in America, 'Fugitive Pedagogy'.
We are increasingly seeing the need for Afro-Caribbean voices and experiences being represented in research, to achieve fair outcomes for all. This is why we want to inspire the next generation of young people to consider a career in academia. Join us for an evening of discussion and Q&A with our special guest speaker Professor Simukai Chigudu. Professor Chigudu is one of only seven black professors at Oxford University.
