What does it take to build unstoppable confidence while balancing motherhood, a career, and bodybuilding?
In this inspiring episode, Sky sits down with Sarah Tilling — a full-time mum of 3, stepmum of 2, full-time employee, and dedicated bodybuilder — to talk about resilience, mental strength, and redefining what’s possible.
Sarah opens up about her journey from battling severe acne and low self-esteem to stepping onto the bodybuilding stage, all while managing a household of five children and waking up at 3 AM for training before work.
Together, they unpack the reality of building confidence as an ongoing, imperfect practice and how true strength comes from showing up for yourself, even in life’s busiest seasons.

Have you ever been told you're too much? Too loud. Too emotional. Too ambitious. Too sensitive. I have — and I know how deeply that message can get under your skin.
In this episode of Confidence Unfiltered, I’m pulling back the curtain on the real reason so many of us shrink ourselves to fit in. I talk about the invisible rules we’ve been taught — especially as women and ADHDers — to stay small, agreeable, and nice... even when it costs us our confidence, clarity, and self-worth.
I’ll walk you through how I broke the pattern of people-pleasing, overthinking, and playing small — and how you can do it too. Because confidence isn’t about faking it or being perfect. It’s about owning your power, showing up unapologetically, and finally taking up the space you were always meant to.
🎧 In this episode, I share:
This episode is for every woman who’s ever felt like she had to tone it down just to be accepted. It's time to take your power back.

In this episode, we talk about the perinatal period of babies and how that involves not only the health of the little ones but also the mental health of the moms and dads who take care of them. Working on a holistic approach to perinatal mental health ensures the overall health of the parents, which in turn nurtures the overall health of the babies as well. We also talk about the importance of offering support to dads, who are not often asked how they are doing and coping during this milestone in their lives.

Being a woman in the business industry is truly difficult, especially when you're a mother. You're wearing a million hats everyday, from juggling different aspects of the business and doing mom duties as well. In this episode, we talk with Tracy Hampson, mother and business owner, about the joys and struggles of handling a business while also making sure that the house is supervised, the kids are well taken care of, and your husband is not being put on the sidelines. We also delve into the huge expectations that people have on women in business and how you can put them all in perspective without burning yourself out. Finally, Tracy gives golden nuggets of wisdom for women and mothers who are on the same boat and feeling like a failure. You are doing an amazing job even when you don't feel like it!
In this episode, we chat with Shaun Beswarick, naturopath and nutritionist, about the many facets of nutrition. We delve into how individuals differ in their nutritional needs, the important chemicals and components in our body that we often pay no attention to, and how nutritionists arrive at a diagnosis for a health problem. We also talk about the significant connections between nutrition and mental health.
In this episode, we chat with Claire and Ashley about indoor- and outdoor-based therapy, or what they fondly call Walk and Talk Therapy. They more often hold their therapy sessions outdoors rather than the traditional indoor or office sessions, which are also an option depending on what the client is more comfortable in doing. We also talk about the many benefits of nature to our mental health, like how it helps in grounding and mindfulness, in making sense of our trauma and anxiety, and in connecting with our inner voice. We also delve into the barriers that prevent many people from getting mental health help, the circumstances in which a Walk and Talk Therapy isn't recommended, and some golden nuggets and advice on how to do a mindfulness walk on your own.
Men often find it difficult to find mental health support, not because it's not available, but because it seems frowned upon by society for men to express emotions. It has become a common misconception that men who express sadness, depression, and other negative emotions are weak and shameful. That's why men have learned to bottle up their feelings to preserve their masculinity. In this episode, we chat with Lukeus Sheather about the importance of mental health for men, the many ways on how you can cope with life problems healthily, and the abundance of support available for you. We also talk about strategies, mechanisms, and ways on how you can handle your day-to-day without feeling burnt out, depressed, or lacking, simply by surrounding yourself with people who understand, support, and love you as you are.
In this episode, we chat with Jenny Beckford, teen coach practitioner, about the changes and transformations that teenagers go through. We talk about the role of social media in the lives of teens today and how we as parents can help them navigate the digital world. We also delve into the importance of language in talking to our teens and how we help shape their world through words.
Sometimes, the SMART goals that we are making for ourselves are not the smartest choices for us. Sometimes, we just end up disappointing ourselves, feeling lacking, and thinking we can't achieve our goals. In this episode, we chat with Dr. Olga Lavalle, clinical psychologist, about how we can be more flexible about our goals, be more gentle with ourselves, and acknowledge that we all have different paces, strategies, and journeys. She also gives us advice on how to stick with our goals and listen to what we truly want.
In this episode, we had a mental health chat with Tara Lee about the mind-body connection and how to cultivate it. We also talk about how to be more accepting of yourself so that you can be more accepting of others, how to cultivate yourself like a garden, and how to recognize your feelings - even the negative ones - without telling yourself that they are wrong or bad. Tara also gives gems of advice on where and how to start your healing journey and move on from past traumas without the tendency to get stuck in an endless loop.
Sometimes, it gets so easy to deny and bury those parts of yourself that you don't like - because they're negative, or they're not up to society's standards, or they feel icky. But commitment to yourself mean accepting all your polarities - the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly - and having your own back no matter what.
In this episode, we talk about things concerning our mental health. There are times that it's easy to get stuck with our struggles and let those struggles define us. There are times when we become supportive of others while forgetting how to support our own selves and have our own backs. We have to learn how to be our own lighthouse and access our inner light, and learn what radical acceptance means in our lives.
In this episode, we chat with The Conscious Couple, Mitch and Corinna, about relationships. We dive into the power of communication in the midst of saying, "There's nothing wrong," or "I don't want to talk about it." We also talk about awareness of our significant other -- knowing their behavioral patterns, their emotions, and their language on a deeper level -- and working with those to have a stronger foundation in our relationship with them.
In this episode, we chat with Lyndsay Gannon about the significant connections between mind, body, and soul. We dive deep into the emotions in the body, the power of nature in healing, and the things we can do to focus more on the self rather than the outside. This involves letting go of other people's opinions and judgments, learning how to stop self-sabotage, and being our authentic selves.
In this episode, we chat with Emily Gardem, a nutritionist and metabolic balance practitioner, about nutrition and what it really means for the mind and body. We also talk about how to better listen to what your body is telling you, how to look for problem areas and resolve them, and how to have the right mindset to take care of your body.
In this episode, we chat with Katrina Wood about the powerful connection between the mind and the body. We dive into the little things that we can do when the mind and the body seem to not want to work together, pieces of advice on how to effectively set goals and follow through with them, and the clarity that comes with knowing and acknowledging your purpose and direction.
In this episode, we have a chat with Marie Alessi about grief. Grief is such a misunderstood word and emotion, and we unpack things like how to allow yourself to grieve, the barriers that can hinder you from your healing journey, and gems of advice for people who want to be there for someone who's grieving and healing.
In this episode, we chat with Suzanne Elizabeth Orlando about anxiety. We unpack the meaning of anxiety and how people experience it in different ways, tips on how to start managing your anxiety, and pieces of advice on how to separate anxiety as a feeling rather than it being your identity.
In this episode, we chat with Matilda Wand, behavior strategist and coach, about the power of mindset. She talks about her own life experiences of being in rock bottom and taking years to get out of it, the huge influence of language in our own perceptions of ourselves, others, and the world at large, and the ways where we can shift our mindset from always looking at the external to learning how to look within.
In this episode, we chat with Lena Moxon about living shamelessly human by having more awareness about our body and our emotions, acknowledging our traumas while also healing from them, and having the self-compassion to be kinder and more gentle with ourselves. We also talk about the possibility of retraumatising ourselves and how to break free from it.
In this episode, we chat with Jessica Slingsby about setting healthy boundaries for ourselves and for others. We talk about what internal boundaries are, the barriers that you may encounter once you decide to set boundaries, and gems of advice on the small steps you can take to be on your way to honoring those boundaries. We also talk about having the awareness about your mind and body and taking action as you become more aware about yourself.
In this episode, we have a deep and meaningful chat with Monique about understanding trauma. We unpack what trauma means, the difference of relational trauma and single incident trauma, and the barriers of healing from trauma. We also talk about the importance of gathering tools and resources first before diving into therapy, which also leads to knowing the window of tolerance which differ from person to person.
I'm really excited to share this episode with you today. As a clinical psychologist, my clients will often say things to me like, nobody understands their mental health and what they're going through. And they feel like that they have to hide it or they can't really share what's going on because it just isn't talked about. And as I've been kind of going through Facebook, I found this amazing woman, Nat, who has created a Facebook page called Wear Bright to Fight Depression. Her Facebook page started out as a fundraiser to raise funds for youth mental health in her local community and has grown so big because of her raw, real approach to sharing her mental health journey.
In this episode, I share with you one of our mental health hangouts from our Facebook group, Shamelessly Human. Michelle Garbutt, Holistic Coach, came on to talk with us about emotional health and how it impacts our physical health. She also talked to us about her ulcerative colitis and her diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease and her journey back to wellness.
What if I told you that it actually isn't you that hold you back from living the life that you want, from doing the things that you want to do, from improving your mental health, from leaving that relationship, from changing that career? Like, what if I told you it wasn't you, but it was a lack of awareness about how you and your mind work together. You see, our brains are hardwired for safety and any change that starts to show up in your life is interpreted in the brain as a risk. So your brain will work really hard 24/7 shutting you down, keeping you small, stopping you from doing the things that maybe you know you need to do or that you just want to do. In this episode, we are going to look at the nature of anxiety, how it shows up and keeps us in our comfort zone, and what to do about it.
In this episode, we talk about how mental health can rule our day-to-day lives. We dive into our own individual definitions of mental health, the common misconceptions about it, how it is different from mental illness, and the different zones of mental health that we go through each day. We also talk about dealing with the bad days through different strategies like depersonalizing and labeling.
