Don't use God's providence as an excuse to sin. The true and better king, Christ, wins by humble mercy, love and personal sacrifice. Like Christ, we are called to overcome evil with good.
Paul receives an encouraging report on the church in Colosse, and expresses thanksgiving for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, their love for all the saints, and their hope and assurance of eternal life in heaven. When David was fearful, doubting, and discouraged, Jonathan "strengthened his hand in God." God has given us a great blessing by allowing us to be part of a body that is designed to encourage and edify one another in times of need.
What does judgment look like? It can look like God removing His hand of restraint from someone's life, allowing them to do exactly what they want to do.
