I love all different types of food but my favourite cuisine is definitely Indian. Indian restaurants are extremely common in the United Kingdom and every supermarket sells a lot of different types of Indian food. Indian cuisine is famous for its curry and there are many different types of curries; there are some very spicy ones like Madras or Jalfrezi, but there are also milder curries like Korma. I love the variety of food in Indian cuisine and even if you don’t like spicy food, there is definitely something that you will love!
On weekends I tend to eat differently. I don’t spend as much time at home, so I don’t cook as much. For lunch and dinner, I like eating out with friends of mine. We go to local bars and we enjoy trying Spanish cuisine.
On weekdays I usually have a yoghurt and a piece of fruit for breakfast. I have quite a small lunch too, something like pasta with a tomato sauce. But for dinner, I often have a much bigger meal. For example, last night I had a piece of meat with potatoes and salad, something which was very filling and tasty!
My parents share a car. They both drive a Land Rover. It’s a large, silver car which is perfect for driving in the Welsh countryside. My brother, on the other hand, drives an old Audi, it’s quite small and blue. But even though it’s not very fast, he says it’s very reliable and perfect for going to work.
My dream car would probably be a Mini Cooper. It’s very small and practical and although it’s not very fast, for me a car is only needed to drive somewhere. I don’t care about the speed of a car, I care about its comfort and practicality. I also love the film The Italian Job, so the Mini Cooper, in my eyes, is a very iconic, cool car!
I usually get up at around 8 o’ clock in the morning. I have a shower, get dressed before having a small breakfast. After breakfast I make sure to clean my teeth before I leave the house at around quarter to 9. I go to work and I work until around 1 o’ clock when I have my lunch break. On my lunch break I just have my lunch and normally it´s not very special, sometimes it’s just a sandwich. Then I return to work until around 5 o’ clock when I finish. After work, I go back home, I check my e-mail and check my social media. I have dinner at around 8 o’ clock and normally it’s the biggest meal of the day. After dinner I like to relax. I love videogames and I love film, so I tend to spend an hour or two watching some television, film or playing some videogames. I clean my teeth at around half past 10 before I go to bed and read a book for a while. I tend to go to sleep at around 11 o’ clock or half past 11.
Typical breakfast in the UK, by Rhys Nugent. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for many people in the United Kingdom. Some people have a Full English Breakfast, which is very, very big. It has eggs, meat, vegetables, toast and baked beans, but not everyone has such a large breakfast. Some people have some cereal and milk or some people even just have a coffee.
