Impact Youth
Impact Church of Lowell has a thriving student ministry led by Ben Jager and Jesse Stevens. High school rally's together on Sunday nights in the IY space at 6:00pm while Middle school hold their rallies on Saturday nights at 6pm. Both rallies are recorded and uploaded here for students to stay engaged with the teaching throughout the week. Parents are encouraged to listen as well to stay connected with their students and active in their growth in Christ.
NOTE: Not every week is going to have a message. There will be some weeks where HS Youth practices ministry together with nights of worship or prayer.
High School pastor, Jesse Stevens starts this year off with a vision of what the High School Impact Youth's DNA will be about. Specifically what Paul says to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young..."
The last week of our spring semester covers the age old question, "What's the right choice?" Students go through so much change during their middle school and high school careers. There's a lot of little everyday choices and several big choices they're going to have to make. Ben leaves the students with some strong biblical nuggets to guide them through those choices.

The topic covered this week relates to the LGBTQIA+ community and Ben explains the position of Impact and ISM on the issue. Four points of belief he discusses are as follows: 1. God loves and wants to be in relationship with LGBTQ people. 2. The Church should embody God’s love and care for LGBTQ people, and yet, we typically haven’t. 3. God defines and designed marriage to be between a man and a woman and that all sexual relationships outside this covenant bond are sin - including same-sex sexual relationships. 4. We believe that our biological sex determines whether we are male or female.
We encourage parents to listen to this topic as well so that you are equipped with some truths if your student comes to you with questions or discussions.
Week 2 of W.W.J.D zeros in on politics. Whether we like it or not, politics is a heavy conversation that's being had either with you or around you. How would Jesus handle political conversation? How would he handle arguments and disagreements about political things? Where should our minds be focused on during such a hard conversation. Ben unpacks a little bit about what Jesus said when politics was brought up to him and what we as Christ Followers should keep in mind when things like that come up.
In our last series for the school year, Ben explores the pressing question of What Would Jesus Do? The reality and practical application of what asking that question actually looks like and how to figure that out. Week 1 focuses in on kindness and how Jesus would react kindly to things today.
The high school recording for the first week of Relationships was corrupted (note the bio of the last episode for more information on that ongoing issue) but we had the middle school rally recorded! (Praise up!) So here's the middle school version of the first week of Relationships that covers the importance of family.
Hey guys! So as I'm going through and getting the Replay caught up, I'm coming across a lot of corrupted files. As you've probably seen from the past couple series, this isn't something new. We've been working all semester to track it down the issue and figure out why it says it's recording but nothing actually gets captured. We thought we had it solved but apparently the tech has more tricks it wants to try. Hopefully we'll have it tracked down and fixed before next year.
This rally is the only rally from HNGR that had any data recorded. And it's about prayer. Ben talks about the power of prayer and encourages the students to pray hard and pray big! God is a big God and he can handle anything you throw at him. Prayer is an important part of our relationship with Him. So pray for our system as we diagnose it this summer and get it fixed for next year!
Ben wraps up the Holy Wild series by talking about our identity and where we can find our "name". He talks about the different name changes found throughout the line of Abraham specifically.
Our Community Life pastor, Jon brings the truth about how important youths are in the Bible. He explores the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19 and how he pursued, changed, then told others about Jesus.
This week, we dive into Christ's connection with us. Jake explores the message and method of Christ while diving into the incarnation of Jesus and how He acted in the book of John. Specifically being a servant and setting the example for others.
The first week of Christological covers Jesus birth. Ben dives into the unique feature of Jesus being fully God and fully man.
This week we dive into Head above Water by Avril Lavigne.
