A podcast making sense of our lives through the lens of inner healing + systemic oppression. Hi, my name is Amira and I am a Bangladeshi American girl in my early 20s trying to figure out my life and accept myself in the process. In this podcast, I will share my honest reflections on a variety of topics, ranging from self-love to politics and solo travel. I hope my personal reflections can serve as affirming and clarifying words for those listening. My goal is for us to heal & make sense of this journey together. Let's build some clarity! This is one of my MOST requested episodes! I have lost count of the number of times someone has asked me the question: "Amira, how do you afford all this traveling?" In good faith, when someone asks me that question, I think what they are really asking me is "Amira, how can I afford to travel?"
Today, I will share with you a little about how I afford my travels and most importantly, how YOU can afford travel for yourself!
In this episode I...
You don't need to have a lot of money to travel. Stop creating fear-based myths in your head to talk yourself out of your possibilities. You can travel. You will travel. Become clear about your travel goals. Become tunnel-visioned about how you will achieve it (plan, save, be patient). And soon enough you will be going to your dream places.
It all starts with taking the brave initiative to step out of your comfort zone, becoming serious about your dreams of traveling, and being disciplined about how you will make it happen. The progress might be slow. But it is worth the sacrifice and patience. Allow this episode to instill some hope in your travel dreams. You will achieve it! And once you take that first step, the rest will fall into place at right timing. Trust the process.

Are you feeling overwhelmed in your life right now? Do you feel scattered, like your life is all over the place and you are struggling to keep it all together? Well, you are not alone. In today's episode I become personal about:
Being off social media allowed me to:
We learn the most about ourselves when we tune out the noise of the social media echo chamber. Join me in being clear and tunnel-visioned about your goals. This episode can give you some insight into how you can get started.
When we overshare we are not just acting on our impulses to share. Our impulses are primed by capitalistic greed which has shaped millions of people to build their identity around social media. The longer we stay on these apps the more profit for multi-billion dollar companies. And how do they get us hooked? By making us addicted to oversharing. In this episode I discuss:
I want listeners to learn from the mistakes I made. The journey of becoming self-aware and discerning better is lifelong. I hope this episode can provide you some meaningful thoughts to consider as your reflect on your individual habits around oversharing.
Our attachments fuel the fire of our inner suffering. In this episode, I dive into the topic of letting go by:
Understanding attachments through a Buddhist philosophical lens Investigating our attachments to people, things, or outcomes Exploring equanimity and impermanence as ways to make sense of our attachments Sharing simple practices folks can incorporate in their daily lives to manage attachments
My hope is that this episode can serve as a reflection point for all to release their inner tensions and suffering by intentionally reflecting on the art of letting go.
Do you struggle to forgive yourself? Because I do.
Hi! My name is Amira and I am super excited to record my first episode on self-forgiveness (a topic relevant to all of our lives!!) In this episode I share the following:
My hope is that someone out there listening to this episode can find this information helpful as they continue their journey of healing. The more insight we have into our inner workings the deeper the clarity!
