Welcome back to the ROCK Your Girl Power Podcast, where we tackle real-life topics, relationships, and empowerment with authenticity and heart. Today, we’re diving into a topic that I know many of you will relate to: The Unattainable Man.

Types of Unattainable Men

Let’s start by breaking it down. Not all unattainable men are the same. Some are unavailable for very clear reasons, and others? Well, their inaccessibility can feel like a puzzle we’re determined to solve. Let me introduce you to a few archetypes:

  1. The Alpha Male
  2. The Man on the Bicycle (Poverty Mentality)
  3. The Emotionally Unavailable Man
  4. The Wanderer
  5. The Past Lover

Recognizing Daddy Issues and Their Role

Let’s talk about something that might hit a little close to home: Daddy Issues. For many women, the longing for an unattainable man can be tied to unresolved emotions surrounding their relationship with their father or father figure.

When a father is absent, emotionally unavailable, overly critical, or inconsistent, it can create a deep-seated longing for validation, security, and love from men. This can manifest in adulthood as a tendency to chase men who reflect those same qualities—men who are hard to pin down, emotionally distant, or unwilling to commit.

The unattainable man, in many ways, mirrors the emotional void left by a distant or absent father. Subconsciously, we might think, If I can win his love, it will prove that I’m worthy. But this chase is often futile, leaving us in a cycle of seeking validation in places where it simply can’t be found.

What Do We Really Long For?

Recognizing this longing is powerful. It allows us to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves: Am I chasing this person because they truly align with my values and needs? Or am I trying to fill a void they can never fill?

The Soul Tie and How to Break It

To break a soul tie, consider these steps:

  1. Acknowledge the Bond
  2. Cut Emotional and Physical Contact.
  3. Reflect on the Lessons
  4. Seek Inner Healing
  5. Replace the Void with Purpose

How to Break the Cycle

If you find yourself constantly drawn to unattainable men, it’s time to pause and reflect. Here are a few steps to help break the cycle:

  1. Identify the Pattern
  2. Focus on Self-Worth
  3. Set Clear Boundaries
  4. Seek Healthy Connections

Welcome back to Rock Your Girl Power! Today we’re diving deep into a topic that’s close to my heart: The Lady in Waiting: Choosing Herself First. If you’ve ever found yourself waiting—whether for love, validation, or life to finally feel “complete”—then this episode is for you. Because, sis, it’s time we change the narrative. Being a "lady in waiting" isn’t about passively standing by. It’s about choosing YOU and building the life you deserve, while waiting with purpose and intention.

This episode is all about reclaiming your power, redefining your worth, and making yourself the priority—not as an act of selfishness, but as a foundation for authentic love and fulfillment.

Let’s be real for a second. How often do we find ourselves waiting? Waiting for someone to call, waiting for someone to see our worth, waiting for the love story we’ve dreamed about. Waiting can feel like a quiet thief, stealing our joy and making us question if we’re enough as we are. But here’s the truth: You are enough. Not tomorrow, not when someone validates you, but right now, in this very moment. And today, we’re going to talk about how to step into that truth.

So grab your tea, your coffee, or your journal, and let’s get into it.

In today's episode of "Rock Your Girl Power," we delve deep into the theme of being a "Lady in Waiting," exploring the complexities and emotional challenges women face while anticipating marriage and love. Many women find themselves in a limbo state, wishing for companionship yet caught in unfulfilling relationships, which leads to a cycle of desperation. Understanding the term "Lady in Waiting" takes on a new meaning as we peel back the layers of this experience, shifting the focus from a sense of waiting for someone to choosing to be patient while enriching oneself.

One of the pivotal aspects of this journey is learning to embrace self-love. Women, in their quest for a partner, often forgo their own needs and desires, leading to a detrimental form of settling. The episode emphasizes the necessity of boundaries—crucial markers that protect our emotional health. These boundaries signify what one is willing to accept and what should remain non-negotiable. Keci Moniquè shares personal anecdotes, illustrating how setting healthy boundaries leads to empowerment and fosters self-respect.

Next, we look into the concept of the "support village." The importance of surrounding oneself with individuals who genuinely care and uplift is magnified. It’s vital to have a nurturing and supportive network—friends and mentors who help illuminate the truth and challenge the status quo graciously. This segment serves as a reminder to evaluate who is in our corner, ensuring that their influence is constructive rather than detrimental. A solid support system not only aids in accountability but also nurtures personal growth, providing a safety net during trying times.

The discussion pivots towards self-worth, encouraging listeners to reevaluate their perceptions of love and intimacy. A recurring theme is that of not allowing others to dictate one's worthiness. This power of reclaiming self-worth becomes a veritable turning point in a woman's journey, removing the labels and misconceptions that others may project. By recognizing one’s own value, women can detangle themselves from toxic relationships and embrace a path that aligns with their dreams.

Building on these concepts, the episode extends into practical steps. We explore actionable insights for establishing attainable criteria when seeking a partner, moving from a mindset of desperation to one of empowerment. Realizing that no partner will meet 100% of one’s needs invites listeners to cultivate and enhance what they seek in a relationship. This process of cultivation requires patience and understanding that both partners are continuously evolving, and together they can help bring out the best in each other.

The episode concludes on a hopeful note, reminding listeners that while waiting

My Dearest Self,

I see you—every piece of you—and I am in awe. You have faced storms that once seemed insurmountable, yet here you stand, stronger, wiser, and more beautiful for the journey. I marvel at your resilience, that inner fire that refuses to be extinguished even when life tries its hardest to dim your light.

You’ve encountered moments when the weight of the world felt too heavy to bear. Times when the tears seemed endless and the nights unbearably long. But even in those shadows, you found a way to hold on, to hope, to fight for the dawn that was waiting just beyond the horizon. And oh, how brightly you’ve shone since then.

Every challenge you’ve met has shaped you, molding your spirit into something unbreakable. The moments of doubt, fear, and pain were not your defeat—they were your teachers. They taught you the depth of your courage, the power of your persistence, and the endless well of strength that resides within you.

Remember the times when you thought you couldn’t go on, yet you did? Those moments are your triumphs. You didn’t just survive; you thrived. You’ve turned wounds into wisdom and struggles into stepping stones. Each scar tells a story, not of defeat, but of your victory and unyielding will to rise.

You are not defined by what you’ve been through but by how you’ve risen above it all. You are the embodiment of resilience, a testament to the beauty of never giving up. And as you continue on this journey, know this: no matter what lies ahead, you have already proven that you are capable of enduring, growing, and flourishing.

So, hold your head high, my love. Celebrate the warrior within you. Thank yourself for the grace you’ve shown in the face of adversity and for choosing to keep moving forward when it was easier to give up. You are a force of nature, an unstoppable blend of strength and softness, and I am endlessly proud of you.

With all my love and admiration,
Yourself ❤️

This love note is especially endearing because at a time when I thought it would be me and God, I had my heart set on a life of celibacy. I was content and had no worries. I was preparing a game plan to change my life and grow far beyond where I thought I would ever be. Then came love...

I wasn't looking. I wasn't expecting. But, when I heard his voice on the phone for the first time, I knew that I wanted more. When I saw him in person, I knew in my heart that I didn't want to live without him.

I pray that this love note inspires you on your journey to love, in-love, finding love, or wherever you are in your journey.

Since you've heard from a person who is an expert in this field I would like to know your thoughts on this. Join us in our Facebook Group, Rock Your Girl Power Facebook Group, to continue the conversation. But on the other side of this I want to dig a little bit deeper into the elements of social media and paper trails and how these things can hold up in court. I have been a case manager for many many years and one of the first things I learned in case management is if it is in a black and white but it didn't happen. If you do not have proof then there's no way to discuss it in court; it is considered was called hearsay. The situation with the Shanquella Robinson case is that there are so many layers of evidence surrounding the situation. In listening to the video from this young lady's YouTube channel, she discussed an issue where they anticipate that it is one person over another who leaked the video so someone named Alysse over Winter Donovan. Allegedly Winter Donovan was the person who initially released it was also said that Dajanae Jackson could have possibly released it, but I couldn't understand how that person could release it if they were the person who was fighting Shanquella. Nonetheless, according to timestamps this was done in real time and released to social media shortly after it was recorded. The issue is that it was released to her family shortly after it was recorded according to Mrs. Robinson. She inquired about the elements surrounding this fight and shortly thereafter, her family started getting the video as well. Here's my problem... people do not think!

We dedicate this episode to Ms. Shanquella Robinson. We pray for justice to the FULLEST extent of the law. I see that there is now an accusation of theft for $10,000. I don't care if it is true or not, SHE DID NOT DESERVE THIS. AND, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IT IS TRUE. I believe that she was a #baddie. She probably loved everyone and wanted the best for them. Remember snakes come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They are always waiting to attack.

Shanquella, we SERIOUSLY hate that this happened to you. We are praying for your mom, family and true loved ones and mostly, that you are avenged with no rocks left unturned. Rest in Paradise sweet lady.

Even though failure is truly unpleasant, the only true failure is the one that you accept. Every time you decide to try it again, you defeat failure. Every time you are able to learn from it, you defeat failure. Greif and Grace cannot live in the same space.

Keci

When you face a problem, it is important that you quickly solve it. The worst thing you can do when a problem arises is ignoring them or sweeping issues under the carpet. If you do this, the chances are that you will lose trust and respect for those in your life and you will cause them to pull away. The best course of action is to apologize, mean it from the best part of your heart, grow from it and move on.

Life goes on despite “failures.” When you fall, it is important that you do not unpack your bags and live there. Deal with your emotions. They are yours. Nurture them. Take care of them. Dust yourself off and keep moving. Did you know that being consumed by failures deactivate the brain's motivational centers?

This is probably something that many consider a sign of weakness. Well, in this case, knowing when to stop talking is a form of self-confidence. It makes others know that Silence is Golden. It makes them uneasy because they don’t know your next move. They don’t know how you will perceive anything around you. Move in Silence so that the mature side of you will show its beauty. It is a sign that you are grounded with your principles, standards, and values and do not allow others to define who you are. You know what your true identity is and you do not need to prove yourself to others and beg for validation.

Rather than wasting your time and energy trying to engage with people who are clearly stubborn with their own opinion, the biggest favor you can do for yourself is simply walk away. This is a move that only truly confident people do because they know what is important to them, what they want, and treasure their time.

With unshakeable confidence, you realize that your time is far too precious to waste on people who have no respect for themselves and others. If they cannot respect the people around them, then you know that they are not the kind of people you want to waste your time on.

One thing that you have to note here is that how you respond is derived from your own filter, experience and understand the fact that the others have the right to hold a different opinion. If you take the time to understand that truth, you will know that you can’t always change others but only change how you see things from within. Just accepting that will set you free from always feeling intimidated by other people’s behavior.

Nevertheless, the point is not about being desperate for someone else’s approval. It is about you ensuring that before you can confront anyone, you clearly know what values you stand for and that your integrity is the backbone of who you truly are.

Steps To Building Unshakeable Confidence

Step 1: Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Step 4: Be Present

Step 1: Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

If you are going to have unshakeable confidence, you have to do things that you have never did before. You have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone. You have to be willing to step out of the ordinary. You have to stir up that urge burning within. In essence, you to step into your extraordinary.

Step 2: Woman, Know Thy Worth

Did you know that people with unshakeable confidence often experience pivotal moments that they embark upon in their lives? One thing that is pretty admirable is that they had to build their confidence as well. While every case is different, how we arrive at the intended outcome, and what we determined to be successful is a part of the building process. Within these pivotal moments, people with unshakeable confidence do not overanalyze things. They make decisions to make or break a situation. The reason why they can make fast decisions is because they know their worth and the ultimate sought outcome.

Step 3: Be Ready To Embrace Change

Have you ever found yourself obsessing about the future or the past? This is something that many of us find ourselves doing. However, here is the thing; the person you were five years ago or will be five years from now is very different from who you are right now. You have to allow yourself to gracefully evolve.

Step 4: Be Present for Yourself

Sounds simple, right? It is important and necessary that you build your confidence. By being present for yourself you are setting the tone for how your presence will show up in a room. Setting the tone for you will allow and define how others will treat you.

I'm your host, Keci Moniquè.

This week, the topic is "Why Am I Still Single?"

There are five elements that I went through and I discuss them in this episode.

  1. Confession (James 5:16 ESV)
  2. Eminent Forgiveness (Mark 11:23-25 NKJV)
  3. Writing the Vision (Habakkuk 2:2-4 NKJV Women's Study Bible)
  4. Faith Without Works (James 2:14-17 NKJV)
  5. Stand in Your Power (Ephesians 3:20-21 Women's Study Bible)

Each element played an essential part of my healing journey. I refused to quit until I my blessings manifested. I surrounded myself with those who held me accountable and those who loved me enough to tell me the truth in love. I'm your host, Keci Moniquè.

This week, the topic is "Why Am I Still Single?" There are five elements that I went through and I discuss them in this episode.

I protected myself from the shady and condescending ones who didn't have my best interest in heart. Master the 80/20 Rule as it will protect you and save you from a lot headache and heartache. Walk with me down memory lane in a time where I was searching for love in ALL of the wrong places. Christian and I discuss the three men who I date, the lessons that helped me to see that there was something within myself that was drawing these types of men, and my triumph to relationship victory. In this episode, I reference three men I dated at three different times in my life. They are:

  1. Mr. Dressed Up In Lies: Mr. Dressed Up in Lies is a suave individual with charisma who is educated and claimed to have so much going on. He was a businessman who always had a bunch of meetings that he attended and facilitated throughout the day… EVERYDAY, including Saturday and Sunday.
  2. Mr. Totally Ambivalent: He was tall and very handsome. He was a little slender, but had a nice physique. His tone of voice was deep and talked all corporate America’ish.
  3. Mr. Love Pistol: I will never forget the night that he said, “If anything ever happens to us, don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are not an AWESOME woman.” I thought nothing of it. I said, “Okay.”

Dedication

The Day I Met My Boaz is dedicated to the women who have not had success with their relationships as a result of traumatic experiences that have taken place in your lives. Sometimes, we are left to feel like we aren’t good enough, we aren’t worthy, we’re not pretty enough, too fat, too skinny, too old, and so many other things that society says is wrong that makes us not admirable of being in a productive relationship. On top of experiencing trauma, you fail to gain the acceptance of someone you were hoping would be your forever love. Somewhere in this, the trauma that you have experienced has caused feelings of abandonment, rejection, and even depression and anxiety.

I am here to tell you that you are not alone. I am also here to tell you that your past is not your final destination. You have the ability to rewrite your destiny. Grab your pen, journal, and of course, this book and lets change the trajectory of your lives. To God Be the Glory! THE MOST DIFFICULT PART ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS IS REALIZING THAT YOU ARE NOT IN THE SAME SEASON WITH THE CONTENDER! Keci Moniquè Epigraph

It’s Not Who You Love, but What You Love

The Bible presents marriage as an institution that should be highly respected and esteemed above all other institutions. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." The King James Version reads, "Marriage is honorable in all..." "Honorable" translates the Greek word timios, which also means "valuable, costly, honored, esteemed, beloved, and precious." All means "all": The Greek word is pas, meaning "all, any, every, the whole, thoroughly, whatsoever, and whosoever." Marriage, then, should be valued and esteemed, and held in highest honor at all times in all things by all people everywhere. That is God's design.
