Facebook has been there since dinosaurs roamed the earth it feels like. Its been around and has always had its space in my life. From the good ole Farmville days to now the Market Place days, its always found away to attract my attention. This week I highlight some of my past facebook posts and the many phases that I have been through in life. Facebook is truly the best time capsule of my life up until this point. We'll see if it continues to have me in a choke hold in the next few years.
This week I talk all things small towns. I grew up in Speedway, IN which is a small town within Indianapolis, IN. I knew my neighbors and my neighbors' neighbors and their neighbors too. I have bigger sights set ahead of me and dreams that I want to accomplish and this small town living just won't cut it any longer. So I'm bringing you all along on this journey of me actually putting action to the words I've spoken time and time again. I'm out here doing the work and I will make my dreams my reality.
We all do it. Compare our lives to those we see on social media. This past week I found myself scrolling endlessly through social media, comparing my work to what was being posted. I started to spiral there for moment, but caught what I was doing and was able to step away and collect myself. This happens from time to time, but Ive gotten pretty good at recognizing when it comes up in my life. Its mostly due from pure boredom and too much time on my hands quite honestly. If you can relate, I hope you took a few things from this week's episode. If you can't relate and then I promise there will be a better, more thoughtful episode next week.
What can I say, I've been around. This week I take you all on a trip down all of my past roommate situations. And do I have some stories to share with you. Growing up in your late teens and early 20s, many of us have our horror stories with roommates. Especially when you're broke in LA, you tend to attract a strange crowd. But I got through it and I am now on an upward climb to finding where I truly belong in this world. I'm the most content I've ever been, but I had to go through some major BS to get here. Grab a snack and sit back and enjoy my roommate sitch.
I've made it here, 27. Today, January 19th is my birthday and I've decided that for this new chapter I am going to start a podcast. Literally no one asked for it, but alas here we are. This first episode I walk you guys through 27 things I've learned at 27. I wouldn't say walk, more of a crawl, but we got there in the end. Hope you enjoy!
