Have you ever heard of the city called Pleven? Actually, me nether... But for that reason I was even more excited to go there. Somewhat hidden gem in Bulgaria. What used to be very important and strategic place is now more of a memorial to itself. The whole city is full of war memorials and monuments reminding us the bloody history. the Ottoman Empire was brought to its knees in this city and Bulgaria war freed of Turks by the Russians. Yes those bad Russians. Or wait a second, they were actually fighting the aggressor here? Unbelievable, but true. Without them Bulgaria as we know it would hardly exist.

You can't always get what you want... Today I have learned the hard way. Packing up for somewhat hiking trip, I have ended up standing on the bus station for quite some time, without any success. The bus service might be terminated because winter or covaids. Who knows, and to be honest who cares too, let's examine some local Kebab and a nearby park. When editing this I was laughing and wondering if next time while making the video from Vitosha, I will also have so much fun...

Today we will have a look at the underground culture booming in this eastern European city. Personally, I have never seen graffiti and street art so open and ever-present as here in Sofia. Be it straight on vandalism or exceptional piece of art that makes you stop and stare for a while.
The weather lately have not been on our side out here in Bulgaria, but I would say for this type of videos it can actually boost the atmosphere a little...

Really? Is this finally the arrival of winter into the northern hemisphere? I would say so...
Or at least that is what I woke up to yesterday morning. Join me on my morning moaning walk about and around in the center of Sofia, the Bulgarian capital. We will venture into South Park, which might as well be the biggest park around and see the whole city from my bird's eye [drone].
