Angelina is joined by Nicky Bandera, founder of Project Paulie. Project Paulie was founded with the core belief of mutual support during challenging times. In the early days of the pandemic, founder Nicky Bandera and her friends, facing job loss, began baking lasagnas to uplift their immediate circle. This act of kindness grew, resulting in over 2000 lasagnas delivered to those in need. To sustain this effort, Nicky utilized her fashion design background to create the Project Paulie Tomato emblem, featured on beanies. Today, the project partners with about 32 charitable organizations, predominantly in Boston, donating 20% of hat sales to community betterment.
The "Little Tomato" emblem symbolizes the project's roots, signifying the tomato sauce used in those initial lasagnas. When asked about its significance, it's an opportunity to discuss the organizations benefiting from each hat sale.
