In this episode I sat down with Ev who is the co-founder of Sloika, a curated photo NFT marketplace backed by founders of SuperRare and Manifold, and others. Ev previously founded a photo-sharing platform called 500px which was acquired by a large Chinese publicly traded company.
We talked about the positives as well as the negatives of the web3 space (why he is slightly cynical about the crypto space and why we still have a lot more work to do), why people should know what they’re really buying into and how he planned on starting a photo NFT marketplace already back in 2017. He also shared some tips on how to evaluate today's photo NFT artists and what to 100% avoid.
