What is the purpose of the wilderness experience? The very basis of the word has much to teach on this subject. The Tabernacle was to be the center of the camp. That message is still speaking to us today. Are we listening?

“When you enter The Land.” It is getting harder and harder to get past those words. How are we doing in our longing for home? Is the anger over the world system really getting us anywhere? Time to look to the horizon instead of staring in the rear view mirror.

Life is a test and there will be an exam at the end. What standard are we setting for our life? We may have been allowed to cheat on the entrance exam, but what about the performance exam? It’s all about making our Creator look good!

In order for there to be life there must first be death. Just where are we looking to for our life? Why was the goat sent out of the camp? Why was it a goat? Just what is the abomination of current practices of our day?

Mold, scabs and sores. What is the purpose of all these things? Is the satan’s work or God’s work. Knowing who is bringing something into our lives can mean the difference between healing and life or sickness and death. The love The Father has for us is brought forth in these Torah portions.
The message of Passover is the greatest love story ever told. This is not a teaching as much as sharing the events of our Passover with each of you. May it be a blessing that also challenges each of us.

Our lives are to be an offering to our God. Leviticus teaches us how our life offering is to be presented. The fire was given once, but the responsibility to keep it burning was the duty of the priests. Same message pertains to our daily lives. Ephesus was reminded of this. Let us heed the words today.

“They had done it!” The amazing words spoken over a flawed people who had put their heart, soul and resources into a task which brought the Heavenly realm and the earthly realm together. May these words be spoken again of our generation.

Shabbat is a serious subject. Are we treating it as such? Moses asks for another offering. This is on the heels of an offering for the golden calf. We must discern what offerings we give as they may be opportunities to invest in His Kingdom or invest in another golden calf.
What does His Word say about us without blood and with blood?

History repeats itself! Are we asking for history to speak to us or settling for it speaking at us? Moshe is called to build, but he is not the one who will build this most important structure. Should be time to work 24/7 to accomplish the task. Not so fast. The work is to be 24/6. Now how about those golden calves? Time to grind them up!

Does Yah have the right to tell us what to do? Of course, our answer would be yes, but what is the attitude regarding our answer?
Aaron stood in splendor with garments that were made for him. Were they really made for him or was he simply filling them until their rightful owner would one day wear them?

Regulations. Instructions. Maybe just plain common sense from above on how we should treat one another. After all, how we treat one another is tied to how we are treating our Creator. One word to sum it all up? Responsibility!

Egypt is now in the Hebrews rear view mirror and that is a problem that will hinder their walk. Driving while looking in the rear-view mirror can be dangerous to your forward progress. It sure was for the Hebrews.
Time to learn a different way of life, thanksgiving instead of complaining!

The last plagues are coming upon Egypt and it is time to go home! Why did all this have to happen? Why will it have to happen again? Is part of the answer in the “mixed multitude”? Was this group the prophetic shadow of our lives today?

Let the plagues begin! What is the purpose of the plagues? Are they about Egypt, the Hebrews, something else? Is the answer yes? Is there one answer more right than the others? How relevant is that question today?

The story of deliverance begins. Will we read it or allow it to read us? The lives of Moshe and the Hebrews are recorded for us so that we will not make the same mistakes they made. Embracing our calling in the deliverance story may not make the process easy, but will ensure less mistakes along the way.

Jacob is able to enjoy his growing family in the last years of his life. Like all though, his life comes to an end. Jacob is given a special gift of speaking prophecy over his family. Was he speaking to his family gathered before him on that day or to a family in the future? If the answer is yes, we may want to pay attention.
Prophecy is best when we have the filter of hindsight. The story of Joseph continues and brings up some interesting questions for the future. In the end maybe the reason for prophecy is not to answer questions about the future, but rather to explain the present.

The account of Joseph brings forth many shadows and pictures which speak to our day. It all comes down to one subject, the family coming together as one. Has the subject changed or it everything happening today for the same purpose?

Jacob has a bit of time to rest and enjoy his growing family. The rest will however be short-lived. The life of his family becomes a wonderful picture of his family to come and the plan to break the dysfunction hold once and for all.

Jacob begins his return from exile. Laban, the false purity may be behind him, but there are still challenges before him. Covering up instead of dealing with issues will not go well and effect generations to come. Not having urgency for his destination will bring forth unneeded consequences.
