Take some time to assess what is going well and what needs improvement.
Decide what you should improve and what should be delegated.
what can you celebrate, what can you develop, what can you put off.
Assess frequently, ask friends, talk to God.

What do we do to protect our kids from pornography? Today we spoke with Marielle Melling from Lovin' Life with Littles about how to be proactive about pornography as our kids are coming in contact with it easier and more frequently than before.
You can check out her website www.lovinlifewithlittles.com
Five things every kid should know about pornography:
What pornography is. (ex. pictures of people without clothes on)
Effects of pornography. (ex. does not show healthy relationship)
What to do if I see pornography. (ex. call it what it is and talk to parents)
What real love looks and feels like. (ex. kindness, respect and caring for each other)
"You can talk to me about this." (create safe space and connection)
You can find some tips on how to start the conversation with Marielle's guide here:

Sharing your story - how and when Info@gloryb.org Ask questions Educate yourself. Elevate Academy Rebecca Bender’s School for Survivors. https://elevate-academy.org/
=> Share with caution. Once it’s out there you can’t take it back. Be discerning of who you share your story with. Social media, people with phones can record or take pictures.
=> Test the waters. Don’t share the whole truth all up front. Trust should be built not given. What are they going to do with the information you share?
=> What are they telling you about other people?
=> It takes a lot out of you. Re-traumitizes you, can traumatize the audience. Give a trigger warning to the audience.
=> Make sure you are healed enough.
=> Have a support system that will check on you that you can be authentic with.
=> Self care after sharing your story. Not drugs or alcohol. Something recreational like crafting or a spa day
=> Is this an appropriate audience? Is it self-serving, relational, transactional. Are they furthering the cause or just wanting to hear a story?
=> Ethical storytelling. Fair transaction, price in cash not gift cards. Be courteous. Treat survivors just as you would like to be treated if you had shared some hard thing. Have your cost in mind before going in, don’t let people tell you what your story is worth.
=> Protect the survivor. There is more wisdom and expertise that can come from a survivor than only sharing horrific stories of the trauma they’ve experienced.

Let’s chat about ways to get healthy, despite what life has thrown you. You can focus on yourself and make choices that bring life to your soul and encourage your spirit.
Self-care is live giving.
Take care of your mind:
Body:
Soul:
Take care of your mind with self-care.
Physically consider what you are taking in and balancing with what you are expending.
Spiritually consider what are you filling your soul with, how are you feeding your soul?
If you have been abused, exploited or trafficked. You are not alone. You are precious. You are loved.

Daily Drops from trauma need to be replaced by healthy truths:
You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed from the hand of the enemey, forgiven, accepted, and loved. A new creation, clothed with strength and dignity, laugh without fear of the future, chosen by God, a son or daughter of the most high king and an heir to His kingdom.

You are a child of God and do not deserve to be abused. Don’t believe the lies. “Don’t put that jacket on my back.” There are people out there that will treat you well, deserving of love and respect. Do what you need to do, save money, find supportive organizations, or a friend that can come alongside you as you take that next step. You can be free from abuse, but you have to take the steps to get there. Nobody can do it for you. Find people that tell you things that will challenge you to think differently and act differently. The journey of growth and healing is a long one, but it is so worth it. You are worth it. Don’t let the pressure of society get you down by comparing yourself to others. Do what is right for you. Write about your struggles. Write about your accomplishments. Use those to look back on and see how far you’ve come and what you have made it through. However long the abuse has been going on, it’s going to take relatively that long or longer to be healed from it. Rewiring and taking every thought captive and replacing the lies with truth is challenging but invaluable. Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden, no one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead a lamp is placed on a stand where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father. Ephesians 4:24 Put on the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Everlasting life is a gift that has been extended to you. Say a prayer to your heavenly Father to accept that gift and know more of Him. Hotline for domestic violence is 1-800-799-7233.
