"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." John 15:13 (NLT)
In early days of the church around 200 AD, new Christians were required to do 3-years of schooling once a week outside of the weekend service. They received 144 hours of lectures on the scriptures & apologetics. They were instructed on how the truth of God stood superior to the pagan & secular philosophy in those days! These believers were minorities in a heavily persecuted society. So knowing the truth they believed in became of utmost importance. Today, the persecution and influence of secular culture around us is just as strong and we must know the TRUTH of God in order to combat the lies of the enemy. This morning we will see the first martyr of the church - Stephen. And like Stephen, we must realize that we’re bringing the hope of Christ to minds that are warped, closed & confused! Let’s dive in as Pastor Jeff teaches us in a message we’ve titled “Par For The Course”

Change. Have you ever been faced with change in your life? Change can be crucial and often leads to growth —- but sometimes we resist the change that God brings into our cushy, routine lives. It’s uncomfortable and sometimes we’re forced to change because of problems we encounter in life. Today we have a glimpse into the internal problems the early church faced, and we have the opportunity to learn how to handle change and the pains of growth. Let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts chapter 6 with a message we’ve titled “The Pains of Progress”

What do you know about tithing? Maybe just bringing the topic up rubs you the wrong way? Does God really want my money? If you’ve ever struggled with the topic of financial giving as a christian and you genuinely want to hear from Jesus, stay tuned. Today Pastor Jeff will teach a few simple truths about the example of generosity that the early church left us.
It’s been said before that one of the greatest needs in the church today is the witness of lame men who are standing whole. Today in Acts chapter 4 is the continuation of the miracle done to the lame man who had been sitting at the gates of the Temple in Jerusalem. But as the story goes on, we see the focus change from the miracle of God to the persecution of the saints! This morning, Pastor Jeff will teach about what persecution looks like here in America and how we can stand on our faith as Christians.

As we dive into Acts 3 we’re introduced to Peter & John on their regular daily activities of prayer & worship. They are confronted with an opportunity to take a step of faith and God’s power worked through them in a mighty way. For the man who was healed, the idea that God is able to turn tragedy into triumph became real to him. We will see that God is able to bring a message of hope into circumstances of pain & disappointment. Do you need a new beginning today? Are there things you’re missing out on because fear has kept you from stepping out? Today Pastor Jeff underscores God’s goodness and the secret of great faith as we continue in our series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible”

Do you remember when you got saved? Was there a great excitement for God’s word and to be around God’s people? This describes the disciples in Acts 2 where we find 3000 new converts after Peter’s first message who had a fresh passion & excitement to follow Jesus. But as time goes on, we know that that excitement can wear off and we often look to the next greatest thing or big-time pastor to give us a compelling vision. But, if any Christian or church is going to function as God intends — each of us must know, understand, and apply God’s word personally! So, knowing this, how do we live as Christians?

As we continue through our study through the book of Acts, we come to the conclusion of chapter 2. After many witness the power of God at work in the disciples, Peter stands up to give a convicting sermon confronting the Jews of their sin in killing the Messiah. This was the first message preached by the power of the Holy Spirit and it was wholly focused on Jesus Christ, the gospel, the good news. BUT before it could be received, it had to produce conviction so peter spoke hard truth that jolted them in their tracks. This is often what we experience when we read God’s word. When we’re confronted with the truth of the gospel, it should leave us in a place where we have a change of heart. What does true repentance look like? Today Pastor Jeff discusses close of Acts 2, in a series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible”

Welcome to No Greater Love with Pastor Jeff Cramer. Did you know that you specifically have been given a special, supernatural ability to serve God? Acts chapter 2 tells us what happened to the disciples when the Holy Spirit fell upon them in a fresh way, and the result was a supernatural ability given by God to declare his wonderful works. Today, we understand that these Spiritual Gifts have not ceased to function within the Church. In fact, we know that Jesus is alive and active within a body of believers because of active spiritual gifts! Today Pastor Jeff will give us some deeper understanding around the special gifts given to equip the church found in Eph. 4.

Welcome to No Greater Love with Pastor Jeff Cramer. In the transition between Christ’s ascension and the Holy Spirit falling, the disciples were faced with making a decision. They erred on human reason, but ultimately made that decision without the Holy Spirit. As believers, we’re faced with choices and tasked with making decisions on a daily basis. So how do we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit instead of leaning on our own human understanding? Today Pastor Jeff will give us a few guideposts from scripture to help us make decisions. Let’s dive into Acts 1 in our series titled “God … of the Impossible.”

Welcome to No Greater Love with Pastor Jeff Cramer. In the first chapter of Acts we see 120 disciples waiting in Jerusalem for the next steps while continuing to worship God. The promise of the Holy Spirit had not yet been received — so they had no direction, no power, and no purpose. However, the announcement that Jesus would return to the very place they saw Him ascend from - resulted in excitement, unity, and endurance to continue. Sometimes life can feel that way for us too when we lose a right perspective but knowing Jesus is coming back for us should spark that same enthusiasm within us. Today we continue with Pastor Jeff in a series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible.”
At the end of Jesus’ ministry He told the disciples He’d be leaving them soon. But to be encouraged because He was sending a helper for them in His place. We understand this today as the promise of The Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity. The New Testament reveals three ways the Holy Spirit works within the church and the life of a believer. Today we join Pastor Jeff in the book of Acts chapter 1 in a series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible.

Our study in Genesis picks up today with the story of Joseph. Throughout his life we see a man who endured great difficulty and pain even though he had a heart to follow and obey God. Whether it was being rejected by his brothers because of envy & jealousy and having his family torn apart when they sold him into slavery; or being falsely accused by his boss’s wife and getting thrown into prison because of it, — Joseph always had the encouraging reminder that God was with him! Even in the midst of darkness and the depths of despair, he always trusted in the sovereign hand of God, knowing HIS love would never fail. At the end of his life, Joseph could confidently make the bold declaration to those who hurt him, “You intended to hurt me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

Today we’re focusing on the life of Jacob - A man who is a great example of just being human! He’s a perfect display of someone who has an encounter with God and experiences real change. We gain insight into his life across a spectrum of trials and triumphs. Times when he failed to trust God and took matters into his own hands; moments of anxiety & stress when he faced major uncertainty; seasons of taking steps of faith and leaving his comfort zone because God had called him to obey; seasons when he failed in his fatherly leadership to his brood of children and yet they were the chosen family of God. — What a testimony he has! I’m sure we can all relate to the very things he struggled with thousands of years ago.

Thousands of years ago, there was a man named Abram who was living a normal life in a secular culture. This man experienced many good things, but he was also familiar with pain and discouragement. One day God interrupted this mans life and promised to do something special with him BUT he had to leave everything he ever knew and follow God by faith. Abram was an unlikely candidate to receive favor from God, and yet he would become an example of faith for us to pattern our lives after. Throughout his life we see God consistently giving promises of blessing to Abram, problems of faltering in faith, and praise of God’s faithfulness. These are the common experiences we all wrestle with in a life of faith - believing God, but also wrestling with the weakness of our flesh!

Have you ever wondered where your family originated from? Does that have an effect the way you live? Today, we can take a DNA test to understand our family tree and ancestry. In the O.T. these family origins were recorded in the book of Genesis which shows how all of humanity came from one family, even after the cataclysmic flooding of the whole earth. As we read through the biblical genealogies we can often times get lost in the names and pronunciations, but if we look deeper we can see the link from the beginning of time to the last days and the Tribulation Period. These early chapters in Genesis suddenly become significant in our lives today!
In today’s study we’re following along the life of Jacob where a course change is happening and he is being re-routed back to his hometown after 20 years of being away. Through the seasons of our lives, God always has a plan that He’s working out and sometimes we can actually sense when there’s a change coming. Jacob has acquired wives, had children, and while working for Laban, has become exceedingly prosperous. But the circumstances in his life had begun to change… He noticed extended family becoming critical and combative, and his father-in-law had now had a change of attitude towards him. God was getting Jacob’s attention and preparing him for the next season. Look around your life… Have you noticed things beginning to change? Have you noticed the Lord starting to line things up in preparation for what’s next for you? What would that look like?

Many times the word of God goes out to people, but more times than not, the message is missed because the simple things of God are passed over by the individuals. This isn’t the case with Jacob. At 77 years old he’s finally getting the message and it’s becoming personal to him throughout all the areas of his life. It’s a beautiful thing when a person begins to grow in the Lord and the lights come on. In Genesis 29 & 30 we now see Jacob serving Laban and the Lord teaching him the reality of the character issues that need to be worked out of him. It didn’t matter that he changed his location, Jacob still had to deal with himself!

As we continue our study through Genesis, today we find ourselves in chapter 27. Isaac, now old and blind, wishes to bless his oldest son, Esau, before he dies. He sends Esau to hunt and prepare a meal. Meanwhile, Rebekah overhears and devises a plan for Jacob, her favorite son, to receive the blessing instead. She prepares a meal and dresses Jacob in Esau's clothes, even covering his hands and neck with goat skins to mimic Esau's hairy skin. In the end, we get a glimpse into a divided household filled with lying, bitterness, deception, & lapses of faith - and this was the chosen family of God! These issues always lead to broken relationships resentment & division. However, despite human schemes and flaws, God's plans prevail!

Have you ever had to face the choice of remaining in the promises God has given or trying to play it safe by seeking relief apart from faith? This type of scenario is repeated throughout the Bible and our everyday lives as Christians. Today we’re back in Genesis 26 where we focus on Isaac as we see his faith over an extended period of time. He falls back into the same difficult decisions and lapses of faith that his father Abraham had modeled for him. The funny thing about trials is that they either draw us closer TO God or move us father away depending on our response!

Ever wondered how the past shapes our future? As we look at the lives of Abraham & Sarah, we see how God's past actions impact everyday people like you and me. Their story teaches us that our impossibilities are God's opportunities. But let’s contrast their lives with the consequences of a compromised witness in Lot's life. God was so merciful to both of these O.T. examples! Even after great steps of faith these characters still struggled to trust God which impacts how they lived their life. Recognizing God's presence in our Christian walk helps us face our weaknesses without excusing sin.

After years of wrestling before God Abram finally views life differently and by God’s grace He changes Abrams name to Abraham. The NT tells us that we are new creations in Christ and therefore we can be encouraged in the God who makes all things new!
Have you ever wished you could become someone else? Maybe you’ve made some mistakes and you wished they could be forgotten.

Why am I alive today? Where did humanity come from? Is there a plan to right all the wrong in this world? There’s are powerful questions that the world has tried to answer for centuries. As Christians, we know God has given mankind a central message about life, our origins & our purpose, and it’s found in our Bible! Even from the first pages of scripture, God’s pursuing love is evident as he works in the lives of real people who wrestled with faith in a real God. Today, Pastor Jeff will be introducing a new study through the book of Genesis. As he teaches an overview of significant moments in history we can draw real-life application to navigate our lives according to God’s plan.

Westminster Calvary was planted in Westminster in 2011 and over the years we’ve experienced God’s faithfulness at work through the people He has called to the church. Looking to the past can be crucial at times to stir our faith in remembering and celebrating what God has done. As we come to the conclusion of Romans, we see Paul take a few minutes to remember God’s faithfulness and give thanks to the ministry partners who have had such an impact in his life and others. God used men and women then and he still uses the lives of ordinary people who have experienced His grace and have surrendered their life for him to work through. Chapter 16 closes off the same way chapter 1 begins… underscoring the work of God’s grace! It brings the question to mind… how will I respond to Him? Will I let Him transform my life? Will I let Him be my Lord and not just recognize him as savior? Will I serve Him wholeheartedly with my life?

Let’s be honest, putting others before ourselves can be challenging, especially in a culture that often prioritizes self-interest. Yet, it's precisely this sacrificial love that Jesus calls us to embody. In Romans 15, Paul addresses the importance of selflessness within the church. It's a reminder that following Christ means setting aside our own desires and agendas for His. Jesus himself exemplified this selflessness during his time on earth, showing us the way to love and serve others unconditionally. So, while it may feel uncomfortable or awkward at times, embracing selflessness aligns us with the teachings and example of Christ, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

The Christian worldview is based on two foundational points: 1) God exists and 2) god has spoken to us in the Bible. However, in our contemporary society, there’s a growing number of proponents who argue that the Bible is outdated & out of touch! In our post-Christian America, the Church has lost its prophetic voice to speak God’s heart on the issues of today. Mostly because we’ve been so preoccupied fighting with each other. But God’s desire is that we would live in unity, not uniformity. To be like-minded, not identical robots. To have the same heartbeat, but different functions. Whenever people are confronted with an opinion or method of ministry that collides with their preference, we have a tendency to run to another church instead of work through our differences. But in First Century Christianity they didn’t have that option! Hot-topics led to disunity and Paul was speaking to keep the Church aligned to God’s will.

Have you ever wondered how to navigate issues of life that the Bible doesn’t explicitly talk about? Sometimes these can be gray areas regarding non-moral issues. Today we move into Romans 14 where Paul teaches about some hot-topics of his day and the varying responses to them. Often times we tend to debate these issues, grow irritated with each other and become unnecessarily charged with high emotions! Paul will take both sides of these issues and bring the church together in unity as he instructs how to deal with gray areas and non-moral differences.

Submission… One of the most difficult things we will ever do as people is surrender control to another. And yet, this is exactly what God is calling us to do! Submit our lives to Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior. As we open up Romans 13 today, Paul is teaching us, submitting to Christ’s leadership is also to submit to government authority. Maybe we wonder how Paul could tell us to do such a thing… Doesn’t he know how wicked our government is these days?! BUT… Paul is giving this instruction during a time when the roman government and emperor were so wicked that they would slaughter Christians for fun. And yet, his instruction remains… “Everyone must submit to governing authorities, because authority comes from God.” May we open our hearts to what the Lord is teaching us this morning!

We’ve spent an extended time understanding the free gift of salvation that was given to us by our loving God, and now we’re going to learn HOW to live as Christians both inside the church and outside in our communities. The Christian lifestyle Roman’s teaches isn’t just about living out religious practices, but letting the spirit of God work through us as we remain faithful to Him.

Did you know that you specifically have been given a special, supernatural ability to serve God? Today, we understand that these Spiritual Gifts have not ceased to function within the Church. In fact, we know that Jesus is alive and active within a body of believers because of active spiritual gifts! As we continue through Romans, Paul teaches this very principle and lays out a few of the gifts given by God. This is a call to action for the church, that we accept by Grace, and walk out according to our faith. Today Pastor Jeff will give us some deeper understanding around these spiritual gifts specifically talked about in Romans 12, which are described as Motivational Gifts.

All of these terms describe what the Bible teaches happens when we respond to the grace of God! As we pick up our study in Romans 12 today, we’re going to learn about how this change takes place in the life of a believer. Pastor Jeff will give us three relevant applications of how this truth plays out in our life practically. Do you want to be transformed by the grace of God today?

The Jewish nation of Israel are God’s chosen people. He chose to use them to birth the Messiah and gave Him as the savior of the world. As we read scripture, it is so important that we understand how God has and is working with Israel, because they play a major role in biblical prophecy. Israel is a distinct people group God has chosen to work with AND the church is a distinct people group God has chosen to work through. Both are important and both are distinct in scripture. As we pick up our study today in Romans 11, Paul reflects on the relationship between Israel and the rest of the world in God’s plan of salvation. We learn how God is NOT done working with Israel, nor has he rejected them. However, salvation HAS been given to both the Jew and the gentile. Let’s dive into our study we’ve titled “Some Believe.”

Today we’re continuing our study in Romans 10, where the Apostle Paul expresses his deep desire for the salvation of his fellow Jews. He emphasizes the importance of faith in Christ for righteousness AND underscores that salvation is available to everyone who believes, regardless of their background. However, they continually struggled with unbelief & doubt. Two things that a lot of us can identify in our lives. We should understand that faith can only come from God’s word and saving faith covers over our mind - as we understand the gospel, our emotions - as we express sorrow over sin & joy over grace, and our will - as we submit to Christ. Christians are saved by grace through faith, unto a holy life!

Two powerful truths that we see laced throughout the OT & NT is God’s sovereignty & man’s responsibility. How do these two principles work themselves out? Has God chosen me or did I choose Him? Am I following His plan or does He give me liberty to choose? If He knows whether I will accept or reject His gift of salvation, does He still offer it to me? God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. Today we’re studying through Romans 9 where Paul emphasizes God’s sovereignty towards the Jewish people. We have a big theological word that is taught here called predestination, which basically means “God’s sovereign choice to save some and not others” Pastor Jeff will be giving us four truths about predestination to help us understand this concept.

Have you ever wondered how God can bring about something good in a bad situation? the Bible is filled with story after story about the struggles of Godly people who have trusted God in the midst of disaster, submitted to God when their prayers go unanswered, and remains faithful even when they were suffering. They were able to do this because they knew the character of God and they looked beyond the trial they were facing. Through all of this, we see that God continues to work at bringing about beauty from ashes because His love remains steadfast toward His people. Nothing can separate us from God’s love! Today we’re focusing on the end of chapter 8 in Romans where Paul underscores this principle. Because of God’s enduring love, we can confidently move forward facing the greatest of obstacles!

When you were growing up, what were some of the milestones you looked forward to? Was it driving at the age of 16? Was it voting at age 18? Maybe it was becoming a full grown adult at age 21? Whatever the privilege that came with each of these milestones in our culture, there’s also great responsibility! That’s the concept that we see taught in Romans 8. As we grow in our faith we come to understand our identity as Children of God. Which brings with it great privilege of intimacy & relationship with God as adopted sons and daughters. But with privilege comes responsibility to live according to the Spirit, putting to death the deeds of the flesh. Paul is emphasizing that this is a call to maturity and holiness! We can’t just enjoy the benefits of our relationship with God without actively participating in the sanctification, or changing process. What does this look like practically? Let’s join Pastor Jeff in a message titled “Under New Management”
When a baby is born they lack control over their bodies and are experiencing everything new for the first time. How to use their arms and legs, hands and feet. What certain foods taste like, the ones they are fond of and the ones that they dislike. Even learning their name and how to interact with others. The Christian life can be similar as we’re learning to walk with God. Consistent growth is a daily challenge and we will never arrive at full growth until we get to heaven. Today, Pastor Jeff will be teaching through Romans 8 contrasting the difference between living a life according to the Spirit and one according to the flesh. We should understand that if we’re built up in spiritual things, we’re not going to live life opposed to God.

A thermometer can be a useful tool in our lives, can’t it? We use it every day to see if we need to turn up the heat or turn on the A/C. It's a practical analogy for the limitations of the thermometer itself—it has the function of measurement but cannot alter the temperature. This analogy extends to the discussion of religious laws in Romans chapter 7. In our study today, Paul highlights the purpose of the law, emphasizing its usefulness in revealing the shortcomings in our lives. Despite our best efforts the law cannot change our inherently sinful nature. Therefore emphasizing the need for a transformative power beyond the law itself, which is found in faith in Christ. It raises a the question: How can we achieve victory and live a life aligned with Christ?

When it comes to living the Christian life we can be led astray by out thoughts and feelings. The bible teaches that we are to be reminded of the facts of our faith so we don’t act on our feelings. Today as we continue our series through the book of Romans, Pastor Jeff is underscoring the realities of being dead to sin and alive in Christ. This truth doesn’t mean that we will never struggle with sin or temptation, but that by faith, we understand that Jesus has removed sin’s power over our lives. The enemy of our soul wants to keep us ignorant and living in a place of fear so he can control us, but Jesus has set us free and given us access to His supernatural, transformative power! For us, that means we can win the struggle over sin!

It’s been said before that we’re not sinners because we have sinned, but we’re sinners because we were born that way and therefore we sin! Today we’re continuing our study through the book of Romans and pick up at the end of chapter 5. Paul is teaching us about federal headship which is a theological term that can be confusing. The essence is that Adam represents all of humanity and his decision to sin affects the rest of us accordingly. In short, the consequences of sin are passed from generation to generation which results in both spiritual and physical death. Why does this matter to you and I? Because Jesus came to take away the sting of sin and death!

What would you do if you won the lottery? Buy a bigger house? Payoff all your debt? Maybe you would upgrade your car or buy something for your family & friends. Most likely you would claim the prize money and put it to use in some way. That’s similar to what God intended when He saved us through Christ. Laying hold of the power of salvation in our every-day lives! Today, Pastor Jeff is teaching us from Romans 5 which focuses on the practical effects of being justified before God that are played out in our daily struggles. The problem is, too many people think salvation is only a way to escape going to hell … when the gift we’ve been given is so much greater than that! How so?

What is sin? Where did it come from? Who does it affect? In Romans, Paul has taught us that sin is what keeps us from being able to have a relationship with our creator and it’s a problem for everyone. The only remedy was for God to send Jesus to the cross to take on the punishment we deserve. It’s Jesus’ blood that makes us safe from God’s punishment, and it’s God’s word that makes us sure of our justification - that our sin has been paid for. This is a major doctrine of the Christian faith and it can be hard for us to grasp. Today, Pastor Jeff continues to teach us through Romans, and he’ll unfold this topic of justification… that It’s a single ACT, completed in a moment, not a process; there’s no levels of justification; and God doesn’t make us righteous over time, He declares us righteous once & for all! How does all of this change how I live my life and approach God?

The good news of the Gospel is that the promises given to us as Christians, are not dependent upon our righteousness. Jesus told us that the new covenant between God and his people is all about what Jesus has done for us on the cross, not our performance of living as Christians. Isn’t that awesome!?
As we study through the book of Romans today, Paul will be addressing two threats that the church was dealing with in his day. These are the same Threats that are creeping their way into the churches across America today. First, they were misunderstanding that salvation was about accepting Christ AND working hard for their salvation. Next, they were mislead into thinking that their immoral lifestyle was ok once they were saved. In both instances we’re taught that sin doesn’t glorify God & holy living is a RESULT of walking closely with Jesus. Thankfully, it’s God who seeks the sinner, cleans and purifies the sinner, and who keeps the sinner in His grip of grace!

Today we’re starting a new study in the book of Romans, often referred to as “The gospel according to Grace” because it’s a book of inspiration and renewal. It’s a book that has transformed a number of lives including spiritual leaders throughout history! Through the book of Romans we are set free from religion and ushered into the glorious joy of Christ through God’s marvelous grace.
In these opening chapters Paul will bring this Gospel of grace to three different types of people. The secular person, living a life as though God doesn’t exist. The self-righteous person, one who rejects God and any type of religion. And the hypocritical person, one who has a form of Godliness but denies Him with their lifestyle. We can understand that each are guilty and in need of God’s grace

As we continue making our way through Romans we’re learning about the conditions for the Roman Christians. The cultural tones in the time-period this book was written magnify the beauty of grace God has given. It’s like watching a movie where the underdog gains strength to overcome! When someone in Rome became a Christian their families typically pushed off from them because they were labeled as enemies of the human race! This made it very difficult for them. Rome was an awesome place for the elite to live but the lower class had a daily struggle. Therefore, Paul will take some time to encourage the believers by acknowledging their fruitfulness. What’s his point? The Gospel of Grace produces a faith that is planted, deep rooted, and abundantly fruitful!

There is so much anger, hatred, and bitterness in the world today. Our country is becoming more and more divided and lawlessness seems to be abounding in every neighborhood and community! How can the church thrive? … and more importantly, how should individual Christians react as we live amongst this type of loveless culture? Today in Romans, Pastor Jeff is teaching us that Christianity isn’t just a way of believing, but rather a way of life!

Transformed… The online dictionary defines this as “a thorough & dramatic change in form or appearance.” Transformation is synonymous with conversion, transfiguration or metamorphosis.

We learn how God is NOT done working with Israel, nor has he rejected them. However, salvation HAS been given to both the Jew and the gentile. Let’s dive into our study we’ve titled “Some Believe.”
The Jewish nation of Israel are God’s chosen people. He chose to use them to birth the Messiah and gave Him as the savior of the world. As we read scripture, it is so important that we understand how God has and is working with Israel, because they play a major role in biblical prophecy.

When a baby is born they lack control over their bodies and are experiencing everything new for the first time. …How to use their arms and legs, hands and feet.

Today we’re continuing in our study through the book of Romans, often referred to as “The gospel according to Grace” because it’s a book of inspiration and renewal. In studying this epistle we are set free from religion and ushered into the glorious joy of Christ through God’s marvelous grace.
In these opening chapters Paul is bringing this Gospel of grace to three different types of people. The secular person, living a life as though God doesn’t exist. The self-righteous person, one who rejects God and any type of religion. And the hypocritical person, one who has a form of Godliness but denies Him with their lifestyle. We can understand that each are guilty and in need of God’s grace!

How so? Here’s Pastor Jeff as we continue in our series titled “Navigating The Christian Life”

The self-righteous person, one who rejects God and any type of religion. And the hypocritical person, one who has a form of Godliness but denies Him with their lifestyle. We can understand that each are guilty and in need of God’s grace!

Are we rooted in the unwavering truth of God's Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, or are we sometimes swayed by other influences? Today, Pastor Jeff continues to teach us through 1st John where he urges us to examine the very source of our understanding in our Christian walk. John warns us to 'test the spirits.' Let's explore this together and seek a deeper understanding of how we can walk confidently in the light of God's truth.

How can we overcome the world? By identifying with Christ by faith!
In 1st John 5 we see that the core of our identity as Christians empowers us to triumph over the trials and tribulations of the world. Our identity with Christ is not just a spiritual label but a transformative reality! However, when we deny our identity as Christians, God chastens us to break our pride so we will come to Him in humility. He has open arms, ready to forgive and restore!

In the life of faith, relationships play a pivotal role. They can be a source of profound joy and fulfillment, but they can also present challenges and trials. Today, Pastor Jeff will explore a message that resonates deeply with our Christian walk - the message of love in our relationships. As we navigate our roles as spouses, parents, friends, and coworkers, we'll discover how this passage offers guidance on how to love and relate to one another in a way that mirrors God's love for us. Today as we continue our study through 1 John, Pastor Jeff discusses the relationship between sin and righteousness. The Bible defines sin as breaking God's law and emphasizes that it's contrary to God's nature. Through faith in Jesus, Christians aim to live righteous lives, following His example. John stresses that those who continue in unrepentant sin are not truly following Christ, while those born of God find it easier to live righteously. Love is a key theme; he highlights that loving one another signifies belonging to God's family, contrasting it with hatred and wrongdoing, which are characteristics of those outside of God's love. In essence, we can look at our lives and ask the question “Whose Kid Am I?”

The Bible teaches that one day, we will stand before God and give account for what we’ve done here on Earth. In today's episode, Pastor Jeff will continue our study in 1st John, uncovering three pivotal concepts: abiding in Christ, appearing before the judgment seat of Christ, and being confident at His appearing. Abiding in Christ means remaining in fellowship by living by His truth. The judgment seat of Christ, the Bema Seat, awaits believers where their faithfulness in this earthly life will determine their eternal rewards in heaven. Confidence at Christ's appearing arises from our authentic Christian living in both purity and faithfulness.

We’re taught that genuine love for God is demonstrated through our obedience and love for fellow believers. On the contrary, harboring hatred and living in darkness are contrary to the Christian way of life. Ultimately John reveals that knowing and loving God involves both obedience to His commands and a deep, genuine love for one another.

Have you ever sinned as a Christian? Of course you have, and so have I. We all do because no one will ever be perfect until we get to heaven. But what happens when we sin? As we continue our study through 1 John Pastor Jeff emphasizes that Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father, serving as our intercessor. If we sin, we have someone to plead on our behalf. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. Today we’re to be reminded of the role of Jesus as the reconciler between humanity and God, offering forgiveness and redemption to all who believe. What happens when we sin in Christ?

How do we maintain fellowship with God? There seems to be two options in this spiritual journey: Option A involves embracing the conditions of fellowship, walking in the light, and aligning our lives with God's truth. Option B is hiding, putting on proverbial fig leaves of deceit. Today, we continue our study through the epistle of 1st John, where we’re reminded that even when we stumble, and sin interrupts our fellowship with God, our relationship with Him remains unbroken. All we have to do IS realign ourselves by confessing, receiving forgiveness, and experiencing his gracious cleansing. The heart of the matter is God's longing for personal fellowship with us, encouraging us to be honest and live consistently with His Word.

Today Pastor Jeff is teaching us in Genesis 21-23 and we see the promised son - Isaac, given to Abraham and Sarah. After waiting and wondering, they finally experienced God’s blessing! But not long after, God tests Abraham by asking him to sacrifice Isaac. Something that would be hard for any of us as parents to comprehend! How does Abraham react? With a heart of obedience and surrender … a response we can learn from and apply when we face trials and testing. Even when Sarah dies, Abraham trusts in the continued character and faithfulness of God. In the pivotal life-changing moments, how will you live? Abraham lived by faith, proving once more - God can be trusted!

Have you ever wished you could become someone else? Maybe you’ve made some mistakes and you wished they could be forgotten. The God of the Bible is notorious for making lives new & bringing beauty from ashes. We see this in the real life of a guy named Abram. God gave him a promise and as Abram lived his life believing this promise, God would change his identity and make him new! After years of wrestling before God Abram finally views life differently and by God’s grace He changes Abrams name to Abraham. The NT tells us that we are new creations in Christ and therefore we can be encouraged in the God who makes all things new!

Emotions can be so intense sometimes that they can influence us to make decisions we wouldn't typically make. The Bible teaches to step outside of these emotions and to think or consider what’s actually true instead of viewing circumstances merely by what we feel. Sometimes this means overcoming being treated unfairly by submitting to the authority of Christ and showing love instead of hostility. Sometimes it means continuing to follow Jesus when life get’s difficult and we feel like giving up. Other times it looks like being submitted to God’s discipline and allowing Him to correct our mistakes, cut away sinful desires, and grow us in holy living. This morning Pastor Jeff will give us some practical tips on how to navigate these emotions.

Have you ever wanted to give up? Often times this seems like the best decision when we’re viewing a situation through our human understanding. Maybe you’ve even thought about giving up in life as a Christian. When we live a life for Jesus, there’s an unseen enemy hurting us and trying to wear us down so we get wobbly in our faith! Does that describe you this morning? Please know, you’re not alone! The 12th chapter of hebrews describes a “crowd of witnesses” who are the testifying evidence of people that have successfully lived the life of faith…People who have given real life examples of faith and NOT GIVEN UP. we then see some practical steps to avoid things that hinder our relationship with Jesus. Today Pastor Jeff will be encouraging us to keep going and not give up.

"The Gift That Keeps on Giving!" This phrase was first used by Victor Radio in the 1920’s to sell radios and throughout the decades to sell various tangible goods up to 2016 when Godiva Chocolate used it. However, the original “Gift That Keeps on Giving” came from Jesus more than 2,000 years ago! Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ comes eternal life for anyone who would follow Him. Today Pastor Jeff teaches us from Hebrews 10 and will focus on the practical effects of living the life of faith and even some pitfalls and warnings we should be concerned about.

The theme of “Deconstruction” or “Deconstructed faith” has become more prominent in todays world of Christianity. People seem to be denouncing their faith in Jesus and it’s happening way too often! We also see a number of people within the church who have been taught that the gospel requires zero repentance …and others taught that being a disciple of Jesus doesn’t require being submitted to what He has taught in His word! NOT SO!
These wayward doctrines aren’t new to the family of faith because we were given a whole book in the Bible written to people in these very same conditions - Hebrews. These second generation Christians were falling away from the faith and they needed the gospel truth given again to truly understand how to move forward in their Christian growth.

Sometimes we try to work so hard to become better Christians and yet end up defeated and overwhelmed - but that’s not how God designed the Christian life. He wants us to trust Him more and rely on our strength & ideas less! This concept is foreign because it requires us to walk by faith and not sight. It requires us to be wholly submitted to God’s word in obedience and go to Him for the strength we need. The point is, God wants to cut out the sinful behaviors in our life instead of us lingering because we feel like WE can’t get out! BUT Here’s the good news…Jesus understands the struggles we go through so He can identify with our needs. If you’ve ever wondered why living the Christian life can be so difficult at times, stay tuned as Pastor Jeff teaches us in Hebrews 4

How so?

Making decisions for our lives can often be difficult…. And sometimes, we even bear the scars of past bad decisions. the Bible is full of stories of men and women that made decisions in faith that glorified God, but it’s also full of stories of men and women who did the contrary. Today we join Pastor Jeff as he teaches in Ruth 1. We pick up mid story of a man named Elimelech who made a faithless decision which cost him not only his life, but the life of his two sons too. We see his wife was left to bear the scars of this decision for years to come. So, how can we move beyond the scars of the bad decisions we made in life?

Trials and difficulties seem to be a part of life, don’t they? This morning we’re looking at Psalm 77 which was written by an uncommon character - Asaph. An inner circle man from Jeremiah’s day who was left behind to care for the suffering remnant in Jerusalem. This guy was in a bad condition! He needed his disappointment & despair changed into a heavenly confidence in God. He needed a new long-term perspective! This morning Pastor Jeff will communicate hope to us as we live out the Christian faith. The Bible teaches us to recognize how God increases our strength through the struggles.

In fact, we know that Jesus is alive an active within a body of believers because of active spiritual gifts! Today Pastor Jeff will give us some deeper understanding around spiritual gifts and those specifically talked about in 1 Corinthians 12, which are described as the Manifestation of the Gifts

Have you ever been impatient and feel like God isn’t at work in your life? Maybe you’ve been waiting for God to come through in the midst of a difficult situation? Or perhaps God HAS spoken to you, but you’re struggling to receive the instruction? Sometimes we respond by struggling through just trying to make things happen for ourselves and we end up fighting what God is trying to accomplish in our Christian growth. Today we look at the end of Acts chapter 5 where the pharisees were questioning & threatening the Apostles to stop preaching in the name of Jesus. Their eyes were set on having their own way and they completely missed the messiah they so desperately longed for. May we be exhorted to not fight against our own good by wrestling with God.

And now, here’s Pastor Jeff continuing in our series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible”

Today Pastor Jeff discusses the close of Acts 2, in a series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible”

How many struggles do we encounter because we allow the world around us to water down God's voice? We don't need to work harder or try something new to encounter the Father, rather we just need to take God at His word and trust Him to complete the work He's started within us!

Because the Holy Spirit lives within us, we can live in a new way with new strength. What does this look like in my life practically? Let's dive in with Pastor Jeff!
Because we have the Holy Spirit living within us, our lives our different. Everywhere we go, we have a new perspective and even a new perception. As believers, we’re faced with choices and tasked with making decisions on a daily basis. So how do we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit instead of leaning on our own human understanding? In the transition between Christ’s ascension and the Holy Spirit falling, the disciples were faced with making a decision. They erred on human reason, but ultimately made that decision without the Holy Spirit. Today Pastor Jeff will give us a few guideposts from scripture to help us make decisions. Let’s dive into Acts 1 in our series titled “God … of the Impossible.”

Today we join Pastor Jeff in the book of Acts chapter 1 in a series we’ve titled “God of the Impossible!"

What's the deal with the Millennial Kingdom? There will be a time when Christ is the ruler of the earth and Satan is bound up where he cannot influence humanity. During this time, children will be born who have never had to make a choice to serve Jesus. What does all this mean?
One day everyone will be resurrected to life in eternity. For some, they will be resurrected to live forever with Jesus worshipping and serving Him. For others, they will be resurrected to eternal judgement for the evil they've committed. God has made a way for everyone to be saved and not experience judgement, but some will do everything to rebel against God.
What is the battle of Armageddon? When will it happen? Today Pastor Jeff finishes teaching through Revelation 19 which closes out with this battle that has been talked about for so long.
All of the earth is looking and waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ. He promised He would be back and He would be victorious over His enemies. Revelation chapter 19 reviews what will happen during His second coming and what we have to look forward to.
Christianity is being fundamentally redefined under the intrusion of Satan. We can see it by the amount of worldly beliefs that have entered into the church but don't line up with what the bible teaches. What are we to do as Christians? It's been said that Israel is at the center of the world. Jerusalem is at the center of Israel. The Temple is at the center of Jerusalem, and the Holy of Holies is at the center of the Temple. We must understand that no matter what's happening in our life, God has control over it all. Today Pastor Jeff takes us through Revelation 9 where the demons are running wild during a treacherous period of history. But what's interesting... God is still in control!
Despite what you think, the spiritual realm is real. Demons are active in our world today and Jesus cast many demons out of people when He walked the earth. As we look into the future we can see that the Bible teaches us that there will be a moment in history when satan and all demons will be released to roam freely and wreak havoc on humanity!

One way to do this is to be cautious in forming new friendships, and to take the time to get to know a person before fully opening up to them. As Christians, we are called to love others and to share the love of Christ with those around us. When we are focused on protecting ourselves, we may be less open to forming new friendships and may not be as willing to invest in the relationships that we do have. This can prevent us from experiencing the deep and meaningful connections that come from truly loving and being loved by others.

However, the original “Gift That Keeps on Giving” came from Jesus more than 2,000 years ago!

Hebrews 3:1 tells us to consider OR think carefully about Jesus. Jesus is greater in His person than Moses!
Two subjects-areas given to think about:
1) The Apostleship of Christ 2) High Priest role of Christ
All of this becomes helpful to us because Jesus suffered & was tempted in order to help us when we struggle.
