The Bible is chalked full of stories of flawed, broken people who, for some reason, God chooses to use in unbelievable ways. It’s easy for us to assume we are limited to a life without purpose or passion, but God says otherwise. God specializes in using the long shot!

This week Pastor Ryan reminds us of the dangers of gossip. As Christians we are called to be as much like Jesus as we possibly can, which means we love others the way He loves them. But it's not possible to love others with true, Christlike love if we are constantly doing things that elevate ourselves above others. Gossip does nothing but tear others down in an attempt to elevate ourselves, but in reality when we gossip we damage our witness and distance ourselves from God. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:11, our job is to build others up, and this is more needed now than ever before!
