About This Sermon SeriesThe Bible is full of names like Abraham, Moses, David, Jonah, Peter, and Paul. They and others like them are well-known even to many people who don’t follow Jesus. They are almost legendary stories that stand out from many others that are told in the pages of Scripture. But when we look closer, we find that there are literally hundreds of people who played a significant role in the history of the church who we know very little about, except that God worked through them to make a big difference. They don't catch your attention at first glance, but the reality is that simply because they were willing, God took these seemingly ordinary people and made them stand out in the crowd. This series tells their stories and helps us understand how Jesus wants to do the same things in our lives today.

This Week's EpisodeThis week Pastor Jimmy concludes this series by telling the story of Demas, who is only mentioned three short times in the Bible, but whose brief cameo appearance is a cautionary tale of the dangers of allowing ourselves to be distracted by the empty offerings of the world and lured by temptation. Pastor Jimmy gives us a plan for how to withstand temptation, and reminds us to fix our focus on Jesus, because where our eyes go, our lives will follow.
