Every day I am allowing Christ to overcome my pride, self-importance and self-reliance.

(2 Cor. 10:5. “Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”)

Bottom line: Every day I am allowing Christ’s will to overcome my will.

Think for a minute about how many dangerous thoughts can bombard your mind in just one hour.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

This battle takes place in the mind.

What is a “stronghold?”

We can demolish those strongholds and Paul the Apostle tells us how.

“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor. 10:5)

Here’s the big question: How?

Three practical principles for taking down strongholds:

  1. You can’t __________ everything you ____________.

(see Jeremiah 17:9)

  1. You need to _________ your mind from _______________.

(see Proverbs 15:14)

Just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you ___________ do a thing.

Sometimes the reason we _______ like garbage is because we’re _____________ on garbage.

Philippians 4:6-7:

Continual ____________________ prayer.

  1. Share your ____________ with other __________________.

(And) “I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake.” (Philemon 1:6, NASB)
