Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is all about the unity of the church in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit according to the plan of God! The first half presents a grand vision of our cosmic unity in Christ (ch 1-3), and the second half shows us how to live in light of our unity in Christ (ch 4-6). Our prayer is that this exploration of Ephesians will deepen our understanding of God’s pervasive gospel, give us a higher view of Christ’s church, speak boldly into relevant cultural issues, provide practical answers to critical questions, and pour out grace-filled encouragement on those of us who feel tired, discouraged, lonely, beat up, or confused.
