I use the hammer to solve all my problems. 

Enemy: hit them. 

Wall in the way, hit it. 

Big cube: smash.

Can't finish a puzzle smash walls until the solution appears. 

Giant monster too big to smash: Smash the Ceiling on its head. 

Hammer to weak; smash stuff to make the hammer stronger.
