A 2nd Cup is a non-profit coffee shop doing their part to end human trafficking in Houston.

I was in Houston a while back and wanted to go to a coffee shop. So, I texted my friend, Jeremy Shulse, and asked him which one to go to, and he told me to check out A 2nd Cup. I went and was blown away. I knew, as I was sitting their reading my book, that I needed to have them on the podcast. We talked all about their shop and what they are doing to end human trafficking. We also talked about how we can be a part of the solution.

Erica, the founder, and Brooke, the Operations Director, are incredible people with hearts of gold.

This is A 2nd Cup's approach: To provide an avenue for generating awareness of human trafficking in Houston, and to work towards the abolition of slavery in our city.

To work alongside a variety of anti-trafficking organizations and movements to raise awareness, generate interest, and engage the public to take action.

To become a money-making engine that funds aftercare solutions for survivors of human trafficking, including: housing, mentoring, tutoring, job skills and other life skills for reintegration into society.
