At 8:46 am on September 11, 2001, the first plane hit the North World Trade Center Tower. One of the largest 9/11 memorial ceremonies on the West Coast was held this morning in the Central Valley featuring a wreath laying, gun salute, and flyover. President and First Lady Jill Biden are in Alaska instead of one of the sites of the attacks. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has temporarily banned the right to carry firearms in public in Albuquerque in response to recent gun violence.
