Often people have lots of dreams and desires about how they want to live their life but their energy levels get in the way and they don’t achieve what they would really love to achieve. Today we discuss how we lose energy and what we can do to create more energy.
If you are tired of feeling tired and wishing you had more energy; today’s podcast is for you!
You’ll discover there are lots of ways we can help ourselves: -If we think or feel we don’t have enough energy we can affect ourselves spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically as we start putting ourselves through bad lifestyle/habit choices - If we don’t become aware of the cycle of bad energy we will continue to have low energy - When we recognise our poor energy choices we can regain control and move forward to improving our energy - We have to work with the reality of the situation- for example if we have children who are not sleeping through the night of course we will be tired or if we have any reason we haven't slept but we have a choice of how we manage being tired. - We can work with our mind and body and put steps in place to work with the energy you have. - Meditating even for a small amount of time when tired helps us to gain our energy back. - Nutritious non-processed food gives you energy. If we go for a sugar fix the benefits are short lived; we actually end up feeling worse. - Use the h.a.l.t theory to help you not use sugar to lift your energy. H is are you hungry? A is are you angry? L is are you lonely? T is are you tired?
It helps us think what we really need. • Just stopping before we make choices helps us think what we really need. • We waste energy when we are in a poor mental state. • It will help if we look where our energy is going if we are losing energy because we are feeling fear, anger, resentment or guilt we need to try and manage these emotions • Releasing negative emotions gives you positive energy back. • Recent research states that people are happier when they have a positive outlook hence emotional resilience will help us not to drain our energy. • Building a gratitude list shifts our energy because it helps us see the positive side • Building on the good helps us bring positive energy to our life as we can see our life has lots of good in it. • Feeling not good enough can drain our energy hence working on our self worth is important as it helps us make good choices • Alcohol, processed food, lack of sleep, lack of movement all drains our energy • The dictionary definition is the strength and vitality required to maintain physical and mental activity. • Suffering depletes our energy keeping a positive mindset essential for good energy. • We are a mind, body and soul. It helps if we consider what really resonates with our true nature so we can prioritise what we give our energy to. This feeds our soul and stops us giving away energy to the wrong things. • Setting boundaries and saying no to things can help us not give our energy away to the wrong things. • We can be people pleasers to feel good and then that can deplete our energy we need to be true to ourselves. • Acknowledge what happens in those 24hrs don’t push ourselves to a point where we know we won’t be able to achieve, be aware but be realistic, make mindful decisions to help take the right action daily to give you energy. • Set ourselves goals to work with our energy so it becomes a habit and what becomes habitual changes our life. • Set ourselves time in the day to switch off although Social Media can be helpful but too much mindless swiping drains our energy. Switching off in the day is very important. • Summing up focus on the positive not the negative, become aware of where we are losing energy and where we can get it back and be grateful and build on the good as that is one of the simplest ways to make us feel good.
