In most cases when we search for a mentor or coach we look for someone that's proven.  In other words we don't really desire a person that hasn't been through anything because we want them to speak from experience.  Within this episode we see how that same concept can be said about our life with God through faith.  I believe God can use anything to be seen as necessary for our development within Him.
