Ash is a former Goldman Sachs banker who launched his first startup in 2018. This first business, DoubleTapp, is a platform allowing hospitality businesses to incentivise and automatically reward customers for posting about them on social media. As a sole founder, Ash launched the platform, raised £150k in angel funding, hit 60 paying businesses across 2 cities and had 10k user downloads. Then Covid hit.
Since lockdown Ash had a desire to do more volunteering but hit many of the barriers others face including lengthy registration and inefficient processes. In response, Ash and his 2 co-founders built and launched Volunteero in 2 months. Since launching, Volunteero has shown significant 280% increase in volunteer productivity for charities and has been awarded Innovate funding. Recently his first venture DoubleTapp was also awarded an Innovate grant and so Ash looks forward to growing both businesses over the coming year.
