What’s around us says a lot about what’s within us, as well as what’s ahead of us. When you know your surroundings – what or who is surrounding you – you can reduce setbacks and increase the chance of success. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we must intentionally surround ourselves with Godly influences and how Godly relationships are important. When you become better, you will attract better. Surround yourself with those who can make you better, and you will see better pursing you.
God’s love is not natural – it’s supernatural. For us to operate in this type of love, we must understand the purpose and magnitude of it. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about the importance and impact that God’s love has on others and on those who use it. God’s love always gives life. If your love isn’t costing you something (submission and sacrifice), you need to reevaluate what love you’re tapping into. If we will determine to love GREATER, God will produce the GREATER in our lives.
We are full of expectation concerning 2018. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how this is our year to see and do GREATER! Do you believe that GREATER is available? Do you believe that you can do GREATER? We will operate in the GREATER this year. God’s doing a new thing - a GREATER thing than He has ever done before.
As believers, we have the ability to transform our lives into what God has designed. Sadly, many people believe that only God has the power to change them. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how God has given us the power – through His Word –to transform our lives according to His plan. God’s will is revealed to us through His Word. If you want to transform who you are, you must start with your mind. Saturate your mind with God’s Word until it effects your thought life.
God did not create anything that does not require faith to obtain it. With that said, how do we use our faith in order to receive from God all that He has for us? In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how our communication controls the quality of your life. We need to start communicating what God believes – not just what we believe. What we communicate carries power – it carries life or death. Determine to communicate effectively this year, and you will see the course of your life dramatically change.
Before we close this year and enter into a new one, we need to make sure we are setting ourselves up for success rather than repeat. Sometimes we cannot move forward because we are holding onto something that we shouldn’t. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about as Christians, we must learn to live and operate in the right tense of life. In order to live in the now, we must stop living in the past. We will have to leave the threshold of what happened and cross over the threshold of what’s to come. What’s happened has already happened. We must get past our history, and start writing the next chapter of our lives. Take the track off of repeat and start playing a new song for your life. It’s time to start living your life NOW!
The greatest gift you could ever receive is Jesus. God’s generosity toward mankind created a way for us to have right standing with Him and a personal relationship with His Son. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about when you know where Jesus is, you find where you are. Everything God did through Jesus, He did in you also. You no longer have to accept life as it is, He came to show you a better way of life through victory in Christ.
One of the first things we as Christians must understand about Jesus is that He did not do anything for Himself – everything He did was for us – set to the credit of our account. His death, burial, and resurrection had just as much to do with us as it did with Him. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how if you don’t know why Jesus did what He did, then you will never walk in the benefits of it. It takes revelation knowledge and faith to obtain the promise of God in our lives. What Jesus died for is worth us living for. So, why is He? He is, so that you can be.
Many people know of Jesus – at least they think they do. It’s one thing to know of someone – it’s another thing to know someone personally. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how Jesus wants to know you personally, and how he wants you to know Him personally. Today, if you do not know Him, what are you waiting for? Once you receive this gift – come into a personal relationship with Jesus – your life will never be the same again. Jesus is your way out, and your way in.
As children of God, thankfulness should be an outstanding trait that we all possess. What in your life has God done for you that requires a response of gratitude? In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how gratitude positions you to receive more from God. There’s always more available through our praise and thanksgiving. There is always more available for those who return to say thank you. Will you be the one who walks away, or the one who walks back? We don’t often intentionally walk away, but returning is intentional. Determine to be the one who shows gratitude for what God has done in your life, and you will see Him continue to do more. You may just be one thank you away from being made whole.
Did you know that part of God’s will for your life is for you to be thankful? Over the next three weeks, Pastor Caleb Moran will discuss the importance of being generous through gratefulness. What Christ did for us is far greater than what anyone else has or could ever do for us. When you sit and reflect on who you used to be – or who you could have been – you become grateful for what Christ has already done for you. Our gratitude towards God should cost us something. It should reveal the value that we place on Him in our lives. We can all agree that God displayed maximum love and generosity towards us. Have you ever displayed maximum gratitude towards Him? What would that look like for you? If you’ll determine to show gratitude towards God, it will unlock more of what has already blessed your life.
How many of you know what a bouncer is? A bouncer is a person employed by an establishment to prevent troublemakers from entering or to eject them from the premises. Have you ever seen a bouncer throw someone out of a venue? That bouncer determined that someone’s presence and actions were not welcome in that establishment. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how you are God’s child and how God’s love is your bouncer. God does not want fear in His establishment. If your heart is filled with God’s love, then there’s no room in there for fear. Has fear stopped you in the middle of an attack? Has what was meant to be a season become a lifestyle for you? If you’ll receive God’s perfect love, fear will have no option but to go. Allow God’s bouncer to throw out fear from your life so that you can obtain the promise that awaits you.
In this message, Pastor Alicia Moran talks about the power of the imagination and the part it has to play in fear having access to us and our outcome. The enemy likes to present himself in our thought life. This is his access point. So to have access in any area of our lives, he begins in our thought life. These thoughts are always on assignment to bare some sort of fruit in our lives. A thought allowed to stay becomes a meditation of the heart. According to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 it says we are to pull these thoughts down, cast them out, and replace them with God's thoughts. We must realize the power of casting down imaginations the enemy will feed you, and begin to replace those images with God-given dreams and promises. See yourself on the the other side of adversity, having kept your confidence and obtaining the reward!
Too many times we make the wrong decisions at the wrong times in our lives. If you haven’t already, you will come to a point in life where your every decision is critical – life or death. What you do in that moment can either make or break you. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran will discuss the one thing that you should not cast away – your confidence. Fear causes us to lose confidence. Casting away our confidence causes us to lose our reward. Rewards come through developed endurance. If you can outlast the storm, your reward will outweigh your trouble. There is a reward for you that satan will do everything within his power to stop you from obtaining. Stay in faith, remain confident, and weather the storm with hope, trust, and an unwavering confession of faith.
As Christians, we must do as Christ did and center our lives not around ourselves – but around others. If whatever we plant in the house of God will flourish, we must bring this opportunity to those we are in relationship with. This begins with our lives flourishing for others to see. Believe it or not, your life is a marketing tool. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how planting our network in the house of God is one of the greatest things that we can do for the Kingdom. Church should never be your “best kept secret”; it should always be the greatest testimony and marketing strategy of your life.
Inside every person are gifts and talents that God has given them to be used for His glory. Often times people use their gifts for their own glory and gain – never planting them in the house of God to be used to help others. When your gift is planted in God’s house, not only will you flourish, but you will help someone else flourish. God has designed you for a purpose, and has placed within you a gift that He desires for you to plant in His house. Many times, God will reveal your gift to you when you make the choice to plant yourself.
Anything you plant, you desire for it to grow and flourish – not just through one season, but through all seasons, and for as long as possible. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about planting our Resources in the house of God. When we are planted, God grows and increases us to be used for the building of His house. Planting your resources in God’s house enables you to be fruitful and flourishing throughout the seasons of life. When you plant your resources in the house of God, you become a flourishing asset that He continually uses to build His Kingdom.
We are designed for relationships. Relationships define us, grow us, challenge us, strengthen us, and bless us. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how life change happens in the context of relationships. We are a church OF Community Groups rather than a church WITH Community Groups. Community Groups are a place you can be equipped to become more like Jesus and to live a faith-filled life.
Anything you plant, you desire for it to grow and flourish – not just through one season, but through all seasons, and for as long as possible. What does it mean to be a person who is planted somewhere? What can you and or should you plant? In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about planting yourself in the house of God. When you plant yourself, you begin to see what you are truly made of. The House of God is known for producing the best fruit in any plant. Determine to live a planted life and you will begin to flourish.
In this day and age, we would like nothing to do with process. Not only do we want the end result, but we want the fast track to get there. The problem is that on the fast track, you miss all the necessary ingredients that make you ready to obtain the promise. In this message Pastor Alicia Moran talks about how there is always purpose in the process. There are times when it feels like process is destroying you, delaying you and discouraging you-but its quite the opposite. Determine to yield yourself to the POWER OF PROCESS.
As children of God, we must have a clear understanding of God’s plan for our lives. God not only wants to prosper you, He has a plan by which He will do it. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how God is magnified through the prosperity of His kids. God likes it when his children are healthy, happy, and wealthy and he says in His word that he has already taken care of your needs. There is nothing wrong with having money and possessions, as long as they don’t have you. The value of your life is worth more than the price of your need. If you’re not careful – or disciplined – needs will distract you from your God-given purpose. Determine to not be distracted by need, and experience the exhilarating life of faith as you trust God as your source.
In life, there are times when you get into a bind, and you need someone to bail you out. Those people who come to your aid, are people that you know have your back. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how when you cannot speak or stand up for yourself, the blood of Jesus will speak for you, and that you have someone who is standing up for you always – HE’S GOT YOUR BACK!
The enemy will always feed you the lie that relief is better than resilience. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about about how resilience is always better than relief. There is always joy on the other side of your resistance. Determine to have PERSISTENCE THROUGH RESISTANCE and you will come out on the other side victorious!
In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about healing and how health is a promise from God for all of His children. As children of God, we are not to live with sickness or anything else that Jesus removed from us on the Cross. To live with something would mean that you’re in relationship/covenant with that thing. As children of God, we are not in relationship/covenant with sickness – we are in relationship/covenant with Jesus our Healer. Who you are in relationship with, will determine what you are going to live with. We are in covenant with the blessing of God. Once you know God’s will, you can align your faith with it and see it come to pass in your life. Whatever is in Christ is in you. Whatever isn’t in Christ, should not be in you. Jesus became your substitute – he lifted those things off of your life. As is Christ, SO AM I.
The love of God is the most powerful force known to man. There have been many powerful things made, but none compare to the power of God's love. Love is active; it moves forward. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about when you step out of love, you step backwards and how progress cannot happen without love. Because of God’s love, victory is ours; success is available to us at any time and for anything. When we love, it propels us forward into God’s best for our lives. Don’t allow small setbacks to be major setups for you to fail. Love, whether anyone else does or not, and you will far exceed any limitation.
Throughout this series Pastor Caleb Moran discussed the fire of God associated with the Holy Spirit, and how it effects our lives. Naturally speaking, fire changes whatever it touches. The fire of God can not only change things, but it can change people. The fire of God is a change agent. The fire of God not only burns stuff OUT, but it also burns stuff IN. If you will allow the fire of God to burn in your heart, it will change you into a different person. Determine for your heart to burn for the things of God, rather than the things of this world.
God is able to deliver you from any attack of the enemy. You must determine to not magnify the image of fear, and fix your eyes on the promise of God. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how when you stir up the fire of God in you, He will combat fear and help you stand throughout any attack. The moment the fire of God is stirred up on the inside of you, it will light you up and ignite something in your life. Every time you pray, worship, read God’s Word and build up your spirit – you are training yourself for what’s ahead. Poor training produces poor results when opposition comes. You must not neglect the Holy Spirit in your life, so you can be prepared when the attack comes.
Over the next few weeks Pastor Caleb Moran will discuss the fire of God associated with the Holy Spirit and how it effects our lives. This fire has a purpose in the life of every believer. The fire of God is meant to burn inside and outside every believer. If you will allow the fire of God to burn inside of you, He will allow it to burn outside of you. When we as children of God receive the fire of the Holy Spirit, we now have the power to change things from the inside out. First it changes you on the inside; then it empowers you to change the outside.
In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how faithful God has been to Metro Life Church over the past eight years both, as a church, and as individuals. This is not only your year to arise but it is also your year to breakout and breakthrough! In the 60th chapter of Isaiah it says "Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you". We believe in 2017, God's glory will be seen upon you. It's time to arise!
God desires for all of His children to prosper and to be a carrier of His glory. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we must be willing to let God shine His glory on and through us. Seeing His glory in your life requires your faith. God not only desires for you to carry His glory, He needs for you to do it in order to advance His kingdom. As we believe that God has destined for us to walk in glory, by faith we will step into His plan and His glory will shine upon our lives.
God wants His glory to shine on your life. The glory is simply defined as: God’s manifested presence. Last week Pastor Caleb Moran discussed that there is nothing that God can't bring you out of. In fact, any situation that you are facing today God can turn it around for your good. This week Pastor Caleb digs a little deeper as he discusses that there is nothing that God can't bring you into. In order to rise higher with God, you’re going to have to remove limitations. The Holy Spirit will take you places that you cannot take yourself. What is limiting you from rising higher? When you take the limits off, God, through the help of the Holy Spirit, will elevate you higher than before and shine His glory upon your life to reach your fullest potential.
Sometimes in life we feel knocked down, let down, brought down - or just simply down. No matter what it looks like, it’s not what it seems; God has a plan in the midst of your problem. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how God desires to shine His glory upon your life this year.
Many people aren’t aware that God has plans for them. Although we may have our own set of plans – ideas and personal goals or dreams for our life God has His plans. We need to not only be aware of His plans, but follow them as well. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how God is pleased when we walk in His way. He knows not only what is best for you, but what is blessed for you. We must make sure we are not only who and what God wants us to be, but where God wants us to be also. If you will stay the course and follow His path, He will surely bless you.
In this message, Pastor Caleb talks about how prosperity is God’s design and His plan from the beginning of creation. We must understand the purpose for prosperity and learn how to steward it. Prosperity is not just a dollar amount either; it too is a mindset. Wrong mindsets are what hold us back from God’s best in our lives. If we refuse to think lack, talk lack, or accept lack, and confess daily that the blessing of the Lord is upon our life, then God’s blessing will be upon us to live in abundance as He uses us to bless others.
God designed the family, and He works within His design to continue His promise to His children. Our Father God is all about the family - He designed it. He has a family business that He desires to pass down to each generation. We are children of God – blessed with a covenant blessing that He swore to our ancestors He would honor. The blessing is not only transferable – it’s recognizable. Your children should see the blessing on you and desire it for themselves. When we as parents walk in the blessing, we leave a path for the legacy to continue through the next generation.
Have you ever seen a billboard that says, “Your Ad Here”? They are advertising to you that you can advertise with them. Advertisement is the number one way people buy into a product, service, idea, event, etc. God has an advertising platform that not many of His children are aware of. You are a walking billboard for God to advertise His blessing to the world. You should wake up every day and tell God, “Your Ad Here! You can use me as advertisement today.”
All throughout the bible we see God turning times of challenge and despair into times of joy and victory. For every attack of the enemy, there is a counter response from God. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how what satan meant to take you out, God will use to lift you up. You may be in a season of difficulty and challenge, but it won’t last forever. There is a turnaround coming. If He did it for someone else, He’ll do it for you. IT’S YOUR TURN!
We have all heard the story of the Cross at Calvary- The Death, Burial, and Resurrection. In this week’s message Pastor Caleb Moran focuses not just on the event, but on what happened as a result of the event. The Apostle Paul had an amazing revelation of what happened through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. All throughout Paul’s letters he refers to us, the church, as the Body of Christ. If we are his body, we not only died and were buried with Christ; we were raised to life in Christ as well – obtaining the same authority and power that He obtained. All power, all authority, complete victory is within His body- The Church.
We often focus on the death and the resurrection part of Christ – quickly skipping over the burial part of the redemption story. We almost consider the burial to be thrown in with His death. All three stages are important to the believer; and need to be talked about to fully understand what happened and how it pertains to our lives. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how the burial was the proof that Jesus did in fact die, therefore His resurrection could be possible to fulfill the scriptures. Through the death and burial of Jesus, we were granted a new and living way – free from the law of sin and death. What’s been buried must stay buried. You are no longer a slave to sin, you are free to live this new life in Christ!
Everyone likes a great story that begins with the phrase, “Once upon a time”. The story of Jesus is the greatest story ever told. When Paul first established the church at Corinth, the cornerstone of his preaching was the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Here is our “once upon a time...” story. Anytime we face a challenge in life we can always refer to the redemptive story of Christ. When you think about the cross, who do you see hanging there? Of course, we all see Jesus at first glance, but there is another person on the cross with Him – you! What is the benefit of sharing Christ’s death? He was our substitute. He took upon Himself our sins and died in our place obtaining eternal redemption. Jesus loves you so much that He was willing to die for you. I’d say that makes you kind of a big deal!
It’s been said, “Don’t ask God to guide your steps if you’re not willing to move your feet.” So many people want more, they just don’t want to pursue it by faith. We must understand that faith is not an idea; it is a lifestyle in which we are to live that requires corresponding action to the Word of God. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran disucsses how faith is to be active; it is to be doing something. Although our steps may be ordered, they aren’t forced – and no one can walk them for you. No matter what life has done to you, shake it off, and DON’T STOP MOVING! Take a step of faith and keep stepping until you reach His promise.
We’ve all experienced the highs and lows of life; and we all prefer the highs. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how life was not meant to be lived by hype, adrenaline, or by what satisfies us the most. Life was created to be lived by faith. You have never truly lived until you have had to trust God 100% in a situation. No matter what you are facing today, YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!
As Christians, we are designed to live life a certain way. If you study people, you will see that not everyone acts the same – nor do they turn out the same. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how we were created to live by faith – trusting in God, His Word, and the leading of His Spirit daily. So many people are trying to find ways to escape the life they are currently living. God does not want you to escape life; He wants you to live it! Faith makes life worth living. If you will determine to trust God with your life – having faith in His Word – He will reward you with a life worth living.
In life we are all faced with challenging times, yet God’s Word remains the same. What we do in times of adversity determines how long we stay there, and how we will respond the next time we approach similar situations. God will constantly stretch you if you will allow him to – even in the area of sowing. Sowing is to be something every Christian does as a lifestyle. We were designed to sow and reap, and generosity is in our God-given DNA. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we must learn the difference between seed and bread. Many times people mistake their seed for bread and they eat their seed instead of sowing it. If we can let go of what’s within our means, God can let go of what is within His.
In this message we begin our Heart 4 The House series, which leads up to our Heart 4 The House service. Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how we can use what we have for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. God has made it to where His advancement on earth is tied to our cooperation. God doesn’t need us, He chooses to use us. Sometimes life and disappointment leaves us with a smaller expectancy than before. Jesus may meet you where you are at, but He will always ask you to go deeper than where you are. It’s very rare that you will get a big catch in shallow waters. If you want bigger you will have to go deeper.
People often wait until something life-changing happens in order to start living intentionally. You can wake up tomorrow and be average if you want to, or, you can intentionally wake up everyday and determine to be excellent. No matter who you are or what you do; excellence can be achieved in any arena of life. Whether you know it or not, there is more in you than you are expressing. This better life than you ever dreamed of is not obtained accidentally. It is obtained intentionally through the endless pursuit of excellence. Determine to live a life of excellence and you will truly experience a better way of life!
Last week we looked at Influence, and discussed that whoever is leading you is influencing you. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about Faith and how it requires faith to start a relationship with God. Without faith we simply cannot have a relationship with God, nor can we please Him. Most people live with faith, but never by faith. Once you become a child of God you must adapt to a new way of life – living by faith and not by sight. Begin growing in faith and using your faith, and you will truly experience a better way of life.
There are some things that we simply cannot control – however there are other things that we can. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we need to control our flesh in order to build up our spirit. Often, we neglect the intentionality we should have concerning our tongue. Are you in control of your life right now? If you cannot control your tongue then the answer is a resounding “NO!” We must learn to build ourselves up by building our spirits. Our bodies are to be used to glorify God – not to destroy us. If you will determine to spend more time praying in the Spirit, you will see more of God’s provision in your life.
Whoever is leading you is influencing you. Who is leading you today? In this message, Pastor Caleb discusses how God desires to influence our lives, but in order to do so we must be led by Him. In John 14, Jesus begins to speak to us about the greatest way that God can influence our lives. Jesus is to be the ultimate leader of your life – the one in whom you are influenced by the most. This leader not only knows the way, He is the way! The Holy Spirit is the greatest influencer – He leads us into all truth. This influencer lives inside every believer. When we are under the influence of the Holy Spirit, we are qualified and enabled to do God’s work. In order to live a better way of life, we must open ourselves up to the leadership and influence of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are new to MLC or have been here since the beginning, this series will help guide you towards not only the heart of our church, but the heart of God. Jesus came to give life – to show people a better way of life than what they were experiencing already. That is exactly what this church is here to do in Acadiana and wherever else our influence may reach. How we show people a better way of life is with using L.I.F.E. as an acronym: Love, Influence, Faith, and Excellence. Love is how we experience a true relationship with God. Without love, we cannot experience an intimate relationship with our Father God. -If we are going to live the life that Jesus came to offer us, we will have to start with love. No matter what your life looks like right now, there is another life being offered to you – an abundant life found in Christ Jesus.
Relationships are pivot points that determine the success or failure in our lives. With the right relationships in your life, you can go further than you could ever take yourself. In this message, Pastor Caleb talks about a having ride-or-die friends, and what it means. The term ride-or-die means that these friends would do whatever it takes – no matter the circumstance – to stand with me and for me, helping me to succeed. Not only do we need ride-or-die friends, but we already have a ride-or-die God. God is with you through every challenge, every storm, and every victory of your life. Determine this year to not only surround yourself with these types of relationships, but to be a ride-or-die friend to someone else. This year will be your breakthrough and break out year!
Have you ever felt disqualified about something you knew you were supposed to do? Many times we allow our insecurities to stop us from our destiny and divine purpose. These feelings of inadequacy are false identities – or lies – that the enemy often places within us. What have you allowed to hold you back lately? What is keeping you from your next promotion from God? In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we must evaluate ourselves before we start running towards something we feel is worth obtaining. Satan causes many to give up by distracting them with the race, taking their attention off of the things they are wearing that are draining their endurance. Be careful who you take with you on the search towards your destiny. Choose wisely those you surround yourself with. The influences you place in your life can promote or demote you. They key to staying out of your baggage is ignoring the voices that got you there in the first place – the voices that promote insecurity. Until you come out of your baggage you’ll never assume your destiny and walk in it. It’s time to come out from amongst the baggage and start living your destiny.
Many times we say that Jesus is Lord of our lives, but that isn’t always so. All Christians will agree that Jesus is in fact Lord, but to declare that He is Lord of your life would require a total act of submission on our part. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how what Jesus is not Lord of, He cannot govern. Submitting yourself to His Lordship through being a tither, allows Him to pour out a blessing upon your life that cannot be contained. When Jesus is Lord of your life, His promises are attached. If you will trust Him – submitting your whole self to His Lordship – He will lead you right into His perfect will for your life. Today, make Jesus LORD OF ALL!
If Jesus is the Good Shepherd, we are His sheep. Did you know that we are referred to as sheep and Jesus as the good shepherd in the bible at least 220 times. Have you ever wondered why Jesus referred to us as sheep? He could have referred to us as any other animal, however, He chose a sheep. In this message Pastor Alicia Moran talks about how the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. And how the comparison of the sheep is not an insult to our intellectual smarts - It’s actually a comparison to us spiritually. If Jesus will lay down His life for the sheep, there isn’t any good thing He will withhold from you, and there isn’t anything you can’t trust Him with.
It has been said “You cannot change what you refuse to confront.” It is hard to confront something that we either don’t know is there or we refuse to acknowledge its there-so we just cover it up. In this message, Pastor Alicia discusses how it takes exposure to sin, to fear, and to the things within ourselves in order to FACE them and commit to change. What we fear the most is usually where we trust God the least. Our fears must be exposed and dealt with in order to live our lives to the fullest and to obtain everything that God has for us. The process of true change begins with exposure, by letting God expose our hearts to us.
Many people know of Jesus, but do they really know Him? A lot of us know of people, but without a personal relationship we really can’t describe or define who that person is. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how Jesus in interested in who you think He is. Have you ever had a personal revelation of who Jesus is? Our personal revelation of who Jesus is will keep the enemy’s attack from prevailing in our lives. Not only that, but our personal revelation of Jesus gives us the keys of the Kingdom to access heaven and earth. What about you? Who do you say that He is? See Him through the eyes of revelation today, and He will show you a whole new life waiting to be lived.
God’s grace upon our lives is far more than we can fathom. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how Grace is not natural; it’s supernatural. Grace – simply put – is God’s unmerited favor. Grace is given without us having to earn it or deserve it. It seems though that we have limited ourselves by thinking that God’s amazing grace only pertains to salvation. God desires for His children to have more than enough. More than enough does not come through stinginess – but through generosity. As we determine to be generous, God pours out His grace upon our lives. Being generous will tap into God’s amazing grace. If you desire to grow, it will only come through abounding in this grace – the generous grace.
Generosity is something we have all experienced. Most people desire to be generous to some degree. However, intentions and actions are two different things. You have never been blessed by someone else’s intention of generosity; you were blessed by their action of generosity. In this message, Pastor Caleb discusses how LOVE GIVES. Period. God wants to help you increase. Many Christians are willing to give, just not obedient to follow though. You must have both intact in order to receive God’s best. We must understand the significance of obedience when it comes to our generosity. -God’s plan for you is to be filled to overflowing. This plan becomes a reality through your obedience in the area of generosity. Through your generosity God will create a life for you that will enable you to create a life for others. We connect to God’s best by giving Him our best.
In just a few days we will be electing a new president for our nation. No matter who is elected, we must continue to look unto Jesus, In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how at times we look for life’s answers to be solved by changes in government. While government can make changes, it is still not the thing that we should put our faith in. There are many people we can look to for change and guidance – however, Jesus is the only one who can guarantee us anything. We must understand that faith has a beginning and an end. Jesus sits in the highest seat of authority – higher than any elected official. He has already done everything that He is ever going to do about our situation. We have a promise from our God and HE IS FAITHFUL. Whatever you are you believing God for, declare by faith that IT IS FINISHED!
As we approach a very important presidential election for our nation, in this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about the role we as the Church plays in a time like this. We as Americans face an election, but we as Christians face a choice. We should not vote color, political party, popular opinion, or even what family and friends say – we must vote the bible! This election has nothing to do with your political views; it has everything to do with your religious ones. Church, what will you choose? Choose life!
As we approach a very important presidential election for our nation we as the Church must recognize first that we are His people. We the people of Jesus Christ must humble ourselves and pray, seek the face of God, turn from our wicked ways, and then we will see healing in our nation. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about the role we as the Church play in a time like this. Our voice matters. Our voice has power. The voice of the Church must be heard at the polls. we the people must take a hard biblical look at both candidates through praying, seeking the face of God, and voting for the bible and what will bring peace and healing to our nation.
What’s the name of the thing that you are facing right now? Whatever name you’re facing is no match against His name. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about when you name drop the right name, it will change your situation for good, granting you access and favor into areas that others cannot go. When it comes to your situation, you have got to become a name dropper. What’s the name that you are using the most to describe your situation? What comes out of your mouth has the power to either change your situation, or aid in its current status. Locate whatever seems to be hindering you right now and start name dropping the name of Jesus.
Our lives were ransomed by Jesus, to remove us from one condition and place us into another. If we as Christians do not know or understand the redemptive work of Christ, we will miss out on the benefits and condition that was purchased for us to live in. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about when you do not know who you are and what you have in Christ, that is one of the greatest hindrances to your success as a child of God and we must walk in the blessing that was bought and paid for through the redemptive work of Jesus on the Cross. Determine to start living in the blessing today!
When you think about your life, and look at your life as faith trophies, how many trophies do you have on your shelf? Can you say, through the power of being connected to vine, that things showed up in your life? In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how you must purpose to remain in Him, not only in your heart but in your words. When your faith and hope collide there is something that shows up. The moment you connect to the vine is the moment that you get the word of God in you and you begin to speak that word. The moment that you speak is the moment that word goes into activation on your behalf.
Someone once said, “If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” Where you are right now is the product of a past decision. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how our aim determines our direction. Our direction will predict our outcome/destination. Where are you aimed? What direction are you headed right now in life, in business, in marriage and or ministry? Many times we simply don’t know which way to go and or how to start. There is a place that God desires to get you to. This place is not where you are today – however, where you are today will determine where you will be tomorrow. Current location will always determine the route to any destination. Your current location must reflect where you are heading – your aim must be on the target of your affection.
We are not going to go through life without challenge or pain. It is a simple part of being a human being and living on this earth. In this message, Pastor Alicia discusses that many times we are not good at going through a challenge or adversity. However, this is exactly what our faith is for. It is for facing challenges and opposition and coming out on top. You may say, ‘How do I get good at adversity?’ In this message, we discover to not only make the best out of adversity, but how you can turn adversity into triumph.
Because Daniel lived an “open window” lifestyle, many were influenced to believe in the God that he served – the one they had seen deliver him. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how when you open your windows, God will open His. God’s blessing cannot be contained, but it can be sustained. Something happens in heaven when we pray here on earth. We have been given authority and power from Jesus to tap into heaven right here on earth. When Jesus shows up at your request, He presents ALL that He is – fully prepared to handle whatever situation you are facing. Prayer opens heaven up for business. Not only is prayer a great way to open heaven, but our obedience to God concerning His Word is as well. Even in the small things you do through obedience, God will honor and bless you with more than enough. Today, will you open His windows through prayer and obedience to His Word?
Daniel was a pretty extraordinary young man. He lived a life that no one could bring a charge against. He was a man that probably would make you mad. Not because he wasn’t pleasant to be around, but because it seemed that he never did anything wrong – was always getting promoted above everyone else; and again... NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG! People knew that Daniel had a continual relationship with God – it was no secret. Daniel lived an “open window” lifestyle concerning his relationship with God. If your windows were left open at your house, would people hear you praying and giving thanks to God? Daniel’s unashamed relationship with God caused others to follow his example and serve his God. If you will live unashamed of the God you serve, others will have an opportunity to meet Him. Windows tell us a lot about a place. We look into windows to see what’s inside. Let’s make sure that when others look into our windows that they find Christ.
Throughout the course of your life, you must champion a cause that is bigger than yourself. Some things in your life will require the partnership of someone else to accomplish a goal. The cause – redeeming humanity – was much larger than one person. What Christ did on the Cross was not for Him, but rather for the world. Your life was not meant to be lived for you, but for others. Who are you living for today? When you champion a cause for Christ, you will not do it void of opposition. Don’t allow the faces of opposition to cause you to cower back from the cause of Christ. Many times we desire to be cautious rather than to be the cause. God created you for a purpose and with a purpose. Determine to be the cause that brings change into someone else’s life.
Have you ever had something move you to your knees in prayer? Paul went to prayer on behalf of a cause. Throughout our lives there will be many things that will only be accomplished through prayer. One minister went as far as to say, “Every failure in life is a prayer failure.” God has given us the power to change and activate anything in our lives according to His will. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discussed that we cannot go to God only in crisis, but we must allow Him to direct us far before things begin to fall apart. Are there things in your life that demand a response of prayer right now? For this cause you must bow your knees and pray. God is awaiting your permission to step into your situation. David saw the cause to use his faith and stand up against Goliath. Paul saw the cause to bow his knees and pray on behalf of a relationship. What cause do you see and what response will you have?
Have you ever had someone talk you out of something? Or have you ever talked yourself out of something? In this message Pastor Caleb Moran talks about how we should speak life into the things that God has already set up for us. There are so many things that are trying to talk you out of what God wants for you. Don’t be one of those mouth pieces that talks you out of what God has for you! Be somebody who speaks what God has for you.
Have you ever had someone ask you why you did something and you simply replied, “Because!” What we do must have a why or it is merely a reaction and not a response. There are many things in life that demand a response from God’s people. Jesus had a cause, and that cause had a purpose. He saw the need to take action on behalf of His cause. There is an anointing available for every cause of Christ. You cannot sit back and wait for something to happen – you are the something that needs to happen. Christ had a cause and He went in to action for it. What things in your life right now demand a response?
We focused last week on the first pollutant called doubt – also known as fear. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran discusses the second major influence that affects the condition of our hearts, as well as our ability to receive from God. The second pollutant seems to be one of the hardest for people to recognize and eliminate – unforgiveness. Satan knows that your heart has the ability to produce whatever is put in its soil; therefore he is hard at work trying to pollute it. We must not allow the seed of offense to take root. It almost sounds impossible to do on your own. Well... IT IS! That is why God sent us a Helper – One who would give us the very love to love others with. Nothing will hinder your prayers more than a heart polluted by offense. No matter what has been done to you, God’s love is stronger. Determine to eliminate the pollutant of unforgiveness from your heart, and you will release any dammed up blessings that God has been trying to get to you.
If our heart determines the course of our life, then the enemy can affect our destiny by influencing our heart. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses two major influences that affect the condition of our hearts, as well as our ability to receive from God. We must speak what we believe, therefore we must make sure our beliefs are accurate with God’s will for our lives. Satan knows that if he can influence your believer (heart), he can affect your receiver. When we allow doubt or fear into our hearts, we pollute its soil. When the soil of your heart is polluted, the fruit will be as well. Determine to speak God’s Word, and then believe with all your heart what you have said in faith. Faith – in the heart of a believer – will open up the unlimited power of God in any situation.
The value of one’s life can be reviewed by the fruit it produces. In this message, Pastor Caleb discusses that if your heart is not in the right condition, your speech will reflect it and your life will resemble it. Many times our hearts are left vulnerable due to simple neglect. If our heart determines the course of our life, then the enemy can affect our destiny by influencing our heart. Your life is too valuable to be left vulnerable. Determine to check on the condition of your heart, and you will find the condition of your life close by. Determine to guard your life by guarding your heart.
In this series, Pastor Caleb discusses how the condition of our heart effects the condition of our lives. The title of this message is “Intentional Soil”. If what comes out of our mouth has creative power, and the source of our words is our heart – then the condition of our heart must be healthy if we want a vibrant life. What in your life seems scarce, depleted, or unhealthy? What words have you spoken about those things? To a major degree, your words created it and your words will change it. When our heart is in the right condition, our lives will be also. Determine to fertilize the soil of your heart by developing a relationship with God’s Word. Then, speak out of your mouth what you have intentionally put into the soil of your heart.
In life, there are many alternatives or substitutes to our relationship with God. We can make anything the object of our affection. In this message, Pastor Caleb discuss how things sometimes substitute the place that God should have in our life. We do not need substitutes in our lives – things that act or serve the place of God. We must constantly find God additives – things that we can add in doses to improve and preserve our relationship with Him. Do you have substitutes or additives in your life? When we can walk and talk with God on a regular basis, His presence will help us to fulfill our purpose. His presence will help our career, our relationships, our families, and everything else that we are connected to. Do you reflect and resemble God today?
Letting things go can be very difficult to do sometimes, especially if we can’t control our thought life. In this message, Pastor Caleb teaches us about learning to walk in love and let go of the past, and any offenses that are hindering us. If we can learn to respond instead of react, we will see much greater results in our relationships with others. Love is what God saw fit to fix humanity’s issues. Love covers, revenge exposes. We are not called to seek revenge, we are called to cover others with God’s love, and to let go of whatever emotional attachment we may have connected to the situation. If you want all that God has to offer you, it will only come through knowing and operating in His love.
In this message, Pastor Caleb discusses how holding a grudge can cause God to withhold a blessing. God has taken the limits off of our forgiveness towards others. Unforgiveness hinders our faith. If you want to hear from God – and if you want God to hear from you – then you will have to get rid of offence and forgive others. Is your offence worth forfeiting that thing you are believing God for? As a Christian, satan may not be able to steal your soul, but he can steal your reward through the trap of offence. As we activate our faith through the love of God, His blessings begin to activate in our lives.
Most of us are a physical reflection of our mother or father - we may have the same eyes, or nose, or the same build or hair. We may also have the same temperament, personality, weaknesses, strengths ect. Have you ever looked in the mirror and saw things that resemble your mother or father? These are all reflections of who we belong to - all the bad and all the good. In this message Pastor Alicia talks about being a reflection of Christ, and what this looks like. There are too many Christians that proudly call themselves Christian - but they don’t have any fruit or proof of it. People should automatically know by your behavior and the by way you carry yourself, that you are a Christian. If we are to be a clear and honest reflection of our Father, we must love one another, and the fruit of our lives will be the proof!
We have all heard this saying before Keep It 100. In today’s slang this basically means: to keep yourself real and true, to be honest and stick to the way you are, no matter what any one else thinks. Sometimes in life, we arrive at a place or challenge that seems difficult. We must choose at that moment – and throughout that season – to KEEP IT 100. God’s way of handling difficulty is much different than our way. In Psalms 100, we are commanded to use joy as response to the seasons we are in. Joy is a feeling called forth by well-being, success, or good fortune. A person automatically experiences it because of certain favorable circumstances. As a feeling, joy cannot be commanded. However, there is a joy that Scripture commands. That joy is action that can be engaged in regardless of how a person feels. If you desire to succeed in life – whether through a trial or simply to advance to a new level – you are going to have to KEEP IT 100 – Psalms 100.
In this series Pastor Caleb discusses the silent killer attacking Christians world-wide, and how we can recognize and eliminate it from our lives. Have you ever asked God, “How much more of this do I have to take?” Find the answer to this question in this message entitled "Silent But Deadly".
Have you ever had something consume you so much, that you lost sight of who you were as an individual? There was a woman mentioned in the Bible who had an issue of blood for 12 years. This issue defined who she was, but that was all it was – an issue. Have you ever had an issue? Whenever you start talking more about your problem than you do your promise, you are praising your problem. Whatever you praise will be magnified in your life. No matter who you are – weak or strong – problems and issues that persist will eventually drain you. The woman's issue had separated her from everyone – her family, friends, and society as a whole. She was living in a state of total isolation. Issues will eventually isolate you. But the woman's faith pushed past what others thought of her and what she thought about herself. Her faith pushed past her limitations. When your desire to change becomes more real than your circumstance, you will push past whatever obstacles you must in order to touch the One who can set you free. When you believe God – IT WON’T TAKE LONG!
Streaking has been known to happen at large sporting events around the world. When a streaker runs on to the field, the referee spots them, blows his whistle, and ultimately security chases them down and arrests them. As a pastor, I sometimes wish I could blow a whistle on some Christian streakers that I see running around through life without their clothes on. They don’t know who they are, they don’t know whose they are, and they have no clue what belongs to them in Christ. Too many Christians are getting bullied around by the devil when WE are the ones with the authority to stop him. As a believer, you are an authorized dealer of God's power. Too many Christians don’t know that they have authority because they don't know about the clothes that have been made available. When we don't flip the switch we remain in the dark. When we flip the switch of authority, the light of God's Word comes out and strips the devil of his power in your life. Today, what areas of your life seem dark? In Christ – and in these new clothes – simply get up and flip the switch of authority and watch the enemy release his power from your life.
Have you ever heard the term, “All dressed up with nowhere to go?” Today, we are going to lay that term to rest. Once you get dressed up in Christ, there is always somewhere to go and something to do. These new clothes serve a purpose. As a Christian, you have tailored fit clothes that you are to wear. These clothes have a label/tag/badge on them, signifying where they came from and who is backing them. When you are clothed in Christ you know who you are, you know whose you are, and you know what you have. There is something to be said about a believer that is dressed up in Christ and knows how to wear these clothes. When you are dressed up in Christ, you are advertisement to the world of the event that you are coming from, the class of people that you represent, and the authority that backs you. For us to go through this life streaking – vulnerable and not knowledgeable of who we are, whose we are, and what we have – it would send the wrong message, and possibly no message at all to a world in need. Your clothes represent more than just a new life; they represent the One who has commissioned and deputized you for a purpose. Your purpose is to change lives with your changed life. You have been dressed to impress – to impress upon others the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
We have all seen or heard about these crazy people called streakers. Streaking is defined as: The act of running naked through a public place. Maybe you have never been caught streaking at a sporting event, but you may have streaked through life from time to time without knowing it. For you to get up everyday and not clothe yourself in Christ, you are merely streaking through life as a Christian. Over the next few weeks we’ll discuss the importance of knowing who you are and what you have in Christ. We are walking advertisements of and for the kingdom of God. We must dress ourselves up in Christ so others can see who we are wearing.
The book of Hosea shows us that salvation is found in turning to the Lord and away from our sin. Jesus paid the highest price for you and all of your sin with His life. Today, you may not be where you want to be. You may be in the valley of trouble, but if you will turn to Jesus, there is a door of hope. Will you change your direction today? Will you turn from your sin and enter into a relationship with Jesus? If we will stop running from Him, and start running to Him, we will find ourselves at the door of hope.
When you think about the grace of God, how would you define it? Most say that grace was defined as: salvation, a free gift, and forgiveness of sins. If you thought those same things, you would be absolutely right. Those are all good working definitions of God’s grace, but did you know grace is also God’s divine empowerment? Grace gives us the power to serve God acceptably. Many Christians today are living in their own natural ability, when in reality; grace empowers us to go beyond our natural ability. There is no way that you can live an extraordinary life except through the grace of God. Whatever you are doing right now in life, determine not to continue without the divine empowerment that comes through God’s grace. What lies ahead of you, God will empower you to overcome and achieve.
In the world at large, scandals are happening all around us. We hear about them at work, we read about them in publications, and we see them at their largest exposure through television and social media. Long ago there was a man who was accused of many things he never did. This man lived a good life, was a generous person, and was always looking for ways to help others. When convicted, he was sentenced to death. The craziest part of this whole story is that the person who actually committed the crimes got away scot-free. The one who was wrongfully, but willingly charged, was Jesus. This is the scandal of grace.
We all go through disappointments in life. With that understanding, pain is inevitable. It’s easy to get discouraged – even bitter – and think, “Why is this happening to me?”It’s been said, “Don’t put a question mark where God has put a period.” All of us have things we don’t understand. One reason is because we can’t see the big picture for our lives. We must trust – even in the painful times – that God has a design that is best fitted for our lives. God knows what you need, when you need it. Every struggle is making you stronger. Every difficulty is growing you up. Every painful time, even though you may not like it, it's is developing something in you that can only be developed through resistance. If you avoid pain, you avoid growth. Many times, our pain is a sign that we are about to give birth to something greater. Pain comes and goes, but when you remain in faith you will be left with God’s faithfulness and His promise. With God, your pain will become your gain.
All of us have seen someone or have personally dealt with being unbalanced or disproportionate in certain areas of life. Many of us have even seen this when it comes to people who work out a lot. A common phrase said around the gym is, “Don’t skip leg day!” In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran addresses the problem of being unbalanced and disproportionate – not in your body – but in your faith. Just like a muscle, our faith must grow and be strengthened if it’s going to be effective. If we desire to grow in faith, we will have to first develop the faith that has already been given to us. When we become well developed in God’s Word in every area, our faith will become more effective. Determine not to be a skinny-legged Christian. Feed your faith, exercise your faith, and watch your faith muscles begin to grow, as you possess everything God’s Word promises you.
Your testimony of what God has done for your life is powerful. Your affliction is the enemy’s marketing strategy and campaign for your life. Your testimony is God's marketing strategy and campaign for your life. Never stop telling your testimony. Begin the campaign for your life and advertise what God wants others to believe and buy into – a life of victory that comes from Jesus Christ.
Last year came and went, and unless we do things intentionally, this year will follow suit. Many times we regret how things ended, but fail to retrace our steps to analyze how they began. If you want to look over your life and see that it is very good, you will have to start speaking the right words from the beginning. What you say will become what you see. The life or the death of this year lies within the power of your next confession. Begin declaring the end from the beginning and watch your life take shape as a result of your confession.
In life there are many opportunities to quit or to give up – just don’t take one of them. Resistance is what makes a muscle grow. In this message Pastor Caleb talks about not just going through something, but making it through something and coming out ahead. God created us to prosper – to bear fruit, being successful in all we do. As long as we do things God’s way we cannot fail. When we step out of God’s design and plan – taking the reigns of our life and trying to steer it the way we think it should go – then we experience failure and defeat. Joy will take any weakness and turn it into strength – a strength that causes you to reap because you did not faint. If you can withstand the pressure, you can stand with the promise.
We are approaching a New Year. Looking back over 2015, was it all you wanted it to be? People often want to change for a New Year; desiring to be better, do better, and live better than they did the year before. We must look forward – not behind – to what God has for us in this New Year. We must have a positive expectation for what lies ahead. Get ready, reset your expectation, and go into a new year full of God’s best for your life.
In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses what the Bible says about love, and how it is a possession of every believer; but it is also intended to be distributed. No matter what you don't have, you are always in possession of God's love - it is in you. His love within you is for others. You need to find people each week, and use the love that was given to you, for them. What God used for you, He wants you to use for others.
Results are key when evaluating where you are, where you have been, and ultimately where you are going. We cannot repeat and expect a change – we must evaluate results and make the necessary changes in order to see the necessary change. Have you stopped to considered the results of your life lately – of your relationships, your health, your finances, or whatever else that involves you? If our words are the key ingredient to right results, then they would also be the key ingredient to wrong results. This is why we must be careful what and how we speak.
To be one with somebody is about as close as you can possibly be with someone – your relationship is intimate. In the bible, the only thing ever compared to the relationship of Christ and His Church is husband and wife – the two becoming one (Ephesians 5). A marriage is an intimate relationship. Throughout scripture we see the Church referred to as the bride of Christ. If we are His bride, then there must be a closeness, a oneness – an intimacy that we have with Him and Him alone. Worship is one way we can be intimate with God. When we are intimate with God – showing a Public Display of Affection – we are never corrected or disciplined by Him, rather we are comforted and blessed. Your life and commitment to God should be on display for all to see. We must live a life of worship that draws others to the One we have committed our lives to.
We have all seen our reflection in the mirror before. What we see is literally what we are at that moment, and what everyone else is seeing. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran will take us through a few scriptures that will help us see something different in our reflection, ultimately changing what others see as well. We are made in His image - His reflection. When God sees us, He should see Himself. When others see us, they should see Him. What reflections are people getting from you? When we love, we reflect God. It is these reflections that turn the world towards Christ.
Through this series we’ve discussed how to take control of our emotions so that they don’t take control of us. Your ability to face trials and challenges with a right heart and attitude will open you up to God’s restoration. Not giving up because of what seems like defeat; but rather, dusting off, pulling yourself together, and trying again – gives God an opportunity to turn your tragedy into a message of triumph. God responds to faith, not emotion. No matter what we go through, it doesn’t change who God is – He is always faithful. Gratitude opens up our heart to receive, and God’d hand to give. We must learn to be thankful no matter what emotions we are feeling. Happiness is circumstantial – joy is supernatural. What you do in difficult times will determine the longevity of that time. If you will choose to give God thanks – even in difficult times – you will see triumph through the trial.
In this message, Pastor Alicia Moran focuses our attention on being led by our feelings and emotions and the destruction it can cause when we do so. We are very emotional beings-most of our decisions we make are based upon a feeling-because feelings always lead to an action. Strong emotions can cause you to take actions you might not normally perform, or avoid situations that you enjoy. Every time your actions are allowed to be orchestrated by your emotions you set yourself up for a trip up. We must analyze the thoughts and feelings in our minds and judge them according to the Word of God to see what is soul and and what is spirit. Anytime you have a thought come that is contrary to the Word of God or a thought that you know the enemy is trying to get you to think upon to produce a feeling that will in turn produce an emotional reaction-you must not only cast that thought down, but you must replace it with the Word of God.
We’ve all seen movies or heard stories about people being rescued from a bad situation. Whether it’s a firefighter running into a burning building to rescue someone, or the coast guard diving into rough waters to save a person from drowning – rescue always seems to be heroic. We all remember what God brought us out of. That feeling of immediate gratitude and relief knowing that we were rescued from the current and or eternal gloom we were facing. But that is not the place that we are to stop our pursuit and passions towards God. Many times people only want the rescue, but refuse the fellowship. Your fellowship with God should exceed the rescue – it should enter into a routine or habitual lifestyle of constant communication and affection with Him. Your Father God has picked you up, taken you in His arms, and brought you into a place where just you and Him can fellowship intimately. What will you do with that time? Will you get distracted with other things that grab your attention, or will you focus solely on Him? Determine to spend time with the one who bought and paid for that time.
This month we begin a new series called Feeling Emotions. Through this series Pastor Caleb Moran will discuss how to take control of our emotions so that they don’t take control of us. How many of you have ever used an emoticon when communicating with someone? Sometimes people use them on social media to explain how they feel that day. (Feeling: blessed, stressed, thankful, angry, etc.) We choose to make our emotions the status of our day or week. Broadcasting how we feel is not always a good thing. Many times how we feel is circumstantial, and can be altered by choice if we desire. What will your next status update be? Will it be a product of your circumstance, or a product of your faith?
Many times we face challenges and decisions that leave us not knowing what to do. These decisions demand answers from us – answers that we usually don’t have at the time. During these times fear arrives on the scene, willing to stay as long as we will allow. Fear has a way of pushing us into a decision that we are net yet prepared to make. No one wants to be pushed in a direction – most people desire to be led. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran discusses being led by peace through challenging times.
Have you ever been asked a question and you replied back with a simple nod? Maybe it was the other way around; you asked a question and someone else replied back to you with just a nod. If your focus is not on the one in whom you are speaking to, you will more than likely miss the answer because of distractions. There must be proper communication between us and God for both parties to be on the same page. Have you ever felt like after talking to God that He didn’t answer you? Many people go to God unfocused. Their prayer time is rattled and their devotions are hindered – they multitask when communicating with God. God is continually nodding concerning His promises. His nod is found in His Word. God’s Word is His will. God hears and answers us when we ask Him for things that please Him. When you see God’s Word – and know that it is His will for you – your Spirit receives faith at that moment, and your questions find answers.
Community brings a sense of belonging to an individual’s life. Community is where we grow. When we grow, that which we are connected to and invested in grows as well. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about being committed to the growth of the local church and the spreading of the Gospel to those in need. The early church had a formula for this growth – that formula was community. The four key things the church did was teaching, fellowship, eating together, and prayer. If this formula worked for the church of Acts, it will work for us today. This is how we can truly experience a better way of life.
Satan is always looking for an opportunity to deceive and devour people. How is it that he was unsuccessful at devouring Jesus? The answer is simple: What Jesus was full of, was also leading Him – the Holy Spirit. The same is true for us. Whatever you are full of will lead you. If satan cannot devour us when we are full of and led by the Holy Spirit, then he will wait for a moment when we are off our guard and vulnerable. What you do in between attacks will determine the outcome of the next one waiting for you. The way you walk is determined by the way you allow yourself to believe during a moment of weakness. Walking by faith never happens on accident, it requires intentional steps. Determine to stay filled with the Spirit of God, enabling Him to lead you to your next promise and victory.
In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran talks about the lifestyle of being Addicted to Giving. We often think of addiction as a bad thing like drugs or substance abuse – and usually it is. However, there are good habits – or addictions – that cause a change in peoples lives. David was addicted to the presence of God and to the house of God. Almost every song he wrote revealed his obsession and addiction that he could not live without. When it comes to being generous, this addiction is one that God will partner with. As individuals and as the church, it is our privilege to give generously to people in need – locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad. Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Generosity is not about what we can get out of it, but rather, what we can get to others out of it.
Satan may not be able to stop you from growing in faith, but he can stop you from effectively releasing it. Offense causes us to forfeit the game before it ever begins. Offense, or unforgiveness, is one trick that the illusionist performs on many people – especially Christians.
Satan will try to convince you that you were done wrong and that you have every reason to feel the way you feel towards that person. This is a deception, a lie – an illusion. We may not be able to control what someone does to us, but we can control what we do to them – we must forgive them. Anytime you are accusing someone else for the condition you are in, you are captivated by the illusion. When we forgive, it positions us for our faith to work effectively.
When you are expecting a delivery you anticipate it until you receive it. You are confidently expecting it to show up. Expecting is a good word to describe the waiting process of a delivery. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran shows us how the Holy Spirit is in our lives for a reason. One reason is to deliver things to us. Anytime the Holy Spirit is talking to you it is because He has something for you from Jesus. I wonder how many deliveries have showed up in our lives that we have yet to sign for? The Holy Spirit is a gentleman, He will not force Himself or His deliveries on you – you will have to sign for them – granting Him permission to deliver it. We must learn how to receive from God.
Have you ever done something that seemed like the right thing to do at the time, only to find out later it was not at all the right thing to do? Not everything that we see is reality – often times it is an illusion. Through this series Pastor Caleb Moran will reveal the truth behind the illusions that we face in life. If satan can gain access to your thoughts, he can altar your destination. The way you think effects the way you go. If you change the way you think, then you will change the direction you are heading.
The people that we surround ourselves with on a regular basis will greatly contribute to the outcome of our lives. In this message, Pastor Caleb Moran discusses how the Church should not be a religious duty or a chore that we check off each week. It should be a network of like-minded people who know that their growth and longevity depend on each other.
When people gather together – doing life together – around the presence of God and the purpose of God, lives are built up and changed forever. We all need right relationships in life – good Christian friends who we can share things with, and simply enjoy life with. There is power in connecting with the right people.
Today, because of technology and its rapid evolvement, many of us may not know what a darkroom even is. Before digital cameras and before the Polaroid, there was the darkroom. In order to develop film into a tangible print/photo, it had to be taken into the darkroom. In the darkroom, darkness was used to bring to life the events captured on film. But if light ever got into that room, the images were exposed and ruined. When a thought or a bad report comes, you have to refuse to develop that film into an image. Your thoughts will eventually change your perception whether good or bad. Satan tries to flood your mind with a false reality of what your life will look like - DON”T DEVELOP THAT PICTURE! Instead, let the true flood of God’s light push the enemies flood of fear right out of your life.
There is nothing more warming to think about than the unconditional love of the Father for us, that was demonstrated by the sacrifice He made in sending His son to take our place. However, this love and grace is only where our salvation begins. In this message, Pastor Alicia Moran shares how God saved us for a purpose that was beyond His love for us. God has desired for every believer to reach their Higher calling, by realizing higher living.
In this message Pastor Caleb Moran is talking about being contagious. Just like with a cold or a sickness, everyone who comes in contact with you is subject to catch what you are carrying. Your spirit of faith is contagious. When you have it, you can pass it to others. If you are a carrier of faith, then those that are around you are subject to catch what you are carrying. Who did you catch your spirit of faith from? More importantly, has anyone caught it from you?
Do you have a plan for personal growth? People often have great intentions to grow, but never develop the plan that demands action to do so. In this message Pastor Caleb Moran shows us that all growth will encounter some level of pain, and that we cannot effectively lead anyone until we effectively lead ourselves. No matter where you have arrived at, there is always another place you can get to. The question is, can you handle the growing pains that will take you there?
Everyone has a sound, a certain unique quality that sets them apart from others. The sounds that we make in life determine the echoes we hear back from life. Your words literally give life to themselves. By changing your sound to a bold declaration of faith and who you are in Christ, it will begin to attract the blessings of God in a greater measure. The good news today is that because of what Christ has done for us on the Cross, we are not fighting for victory, we are fighting from victory. You must change your sound in order to change what surrounds you.
Some people are aimlessly looking for more and don't know it. In this message, Pastor Caleb talks about how God is always doing something in our life, and that he wants to take us so much further. At times we think our wants and our methods of fulfilling desires is just a season and say "oh I can take care of it later." At the end of the day, it ends up affecting more than just us. What are you pursuing right now that you don't know you are pursuing? What is enough? What is satisfaction to you?
God, in His infinite wisdom, created us and gave us different body parts for different kinds of functions. He gave us control over these parts. Your leg cannot move without your will, neither can your tongue speak without your will. That is why the Bible teaches us to tame our tongue. The reason God is talking about the tongue being tamed and not any other part of the body, is because the tongue actually controls the whole body. If we can get control over this one area we can have control over every area. Being a spitfire, saying whatever you feel, will cause you to have the very things that you say. Determine to put that fire out by controlling your speech, and by bridling it with the Word of God. Put God’s Word in your mouth like ammunition, and begin firing it at your future. Your future is tied to your next rant.
How many of you remember when you were in school, there was always that one person who desperately desired to please the teacher? We called those people the teacher’s pet. For us to please our Father God, We should strive to be His Teacher’s Pet. We are going to have to bring Him His own Word through our speech. In order to do so we will have to bring Him Faith through our words. God doesn’t reward those who have faith; He rewards those who use their Faith.
We don’t have what we wish for, we have whatever our faith can produce. In this message we will look at a few verses that describe how and why we use our faith. Remember the blind beggar named Bartimaeus? Jesus told him, “Your faith has saved and healed you.” Faith is to be released, not merely captured. We release our faith by speaking what we believe. What we believe is what we have heard from the Word of God. The blind man had the desire to see the whole time, but he never received his healing until he called out by faith to the One who could heal him. Your breakthrough is one shout of faith away!
As children of God, we may not understand everything, but in everything we have a promise. I'll tell you this, there is a God and there is a devil. Both have a plan for your life. The devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. However, Jesus has also come, and He is offering a better way of life, life in abundance, hope for all who turn to Him. In these times, satan comes to instill fear in the lives of many, but I came to let you in on a profound truth: 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out all fear. The love that God has given us is perfect love. Fear does not come from God, but Love does. We must choose life even when others choose death, good when others choose evil, light when others choose darkness.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply wait for the Lord to show up. God’s presence is His waiting room, and it’s in that place that we will find the strength and the ability that we need to be brave.
Many times in our lives we come across difficult times. In this message, Pastor Caleb teaches how to get through these tough times and into God's provision through obedience.
We all have our ideas of what bravery is. To some, it comes from a movie you have seen, or a hero you have heard about. God tells us in His Word to be strong and brave when facing difficult situations. Through this message, Pastor Caleb takes you through the bible and into the life of Joshua as he was commanded by God to be brave. When fear shows up, God has already given us what we need to cast it out. Bravery comes from the Holy Spirit. Deep within every believer roars a lion. In whatever place you go, and to whatever obstacles you face, you are as bold and brave as a lion.

The theme scripture for this series can be found in Proverbs 18:21. In this message Pastor Caleb shows us that within our words can reside life-giving power.
It is our utmost obligation as a Christian to please God. It goes without question that when you do something with all of your heart, all of your ability, all your strength, and the end result is fruit and progress. there is a reward. In this message Pastor Caleb shows us the importance of living a life that is pleasing to God.
Through this series, you will discover that God is the Ventriloquist of our lives; and we are the dummy in which He expresses His voice, will, and personality through. Our lives are not our own. Our bodies are not our own.
In this series we liken the ventriloquist and his dummy to God and us. God is the supplier of the words that we are to speak and we are the dummy. Without him and His Words to speak we remain powerless. Without the Word to speak, we are just like a puppet. We don’t have anything to say worth anything on our own accord.
