We often want the prize without the price. When we serve God without restraints, we become rebellious. Serving is doing the will of God. It is usually not knowing the purpose that is the issue but the cost of getting into the purpose. Even Jesus, in His perfection, did not get to skip the cost. We want greatness at no cost. However, it is because of our greatness that we are required to serve. Purpose is on the other side of obedience; there is a cost to walking in purpose.
