God in the Everyday–Fr Mike Delaney–Pole Dancing (Pole Dancing might sound like an unusual topic for a God Spot and as happens so often in my Meeting God in the Everyday, I’m recognising that I don’t always see what is going on around me and so my opinions are frequently flawed. Hearing that my niece was a pole dancer originally sent shivers through me because my understanding of what was involved was extremely limited and I questioned what she was up to. Now knowing that she is a talented acrobat because of her training as well as an astute businesswoman helps me realise that not all our gifts and talents look or sound the same – and names or job titles don’t always tell us what people do or who they are.)
