There is an ongoing debate among lawmakers in this country about the security concerns posed by the social media app TikTok. The Chinese owned app has been under intense scrutiny, and some lawmakers have made calls to ban the app nationwide. But Daniel Lyons from AEI and Boston College Law School says such a ban would be unconstitutional because it would violate the first amendment.
