Literacy rates among American children have been declining in recent years. So, Dr. Jenny Mackenzie from UVU set out to find out why. Together with LeVar Burton of "Reading Rainbow", Dr. Mackenzie has created a new documentary called "The Right to Read" looking at low literacy rates and solutions. She joins Boyd to discuss the film following its premier at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
