In this country, we have had a hard time managing pain, especially treatments like opioids, to no fault of the medical professionals trying to help. Congressman John Curtis has taken on this issue to give more control of pain treatment plans to the patient. He spoke with us this morning about his bipartisan bill, the Non-Opioid Directive Act, which would allow patients to choose non-opioids when managing pain.
