Many of you on this Mother's Day, can point to a mother or a grandmother who has been absolutely essential to opening your eyes to the person and way of Jesus. Some of you can hardly even imagine what your faith would be like today with out that faithful mother or grandmother. It turns out that the church desperately needs women because they help all of us to see significant things we may have failed to see about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Jesus.
