Welcome back to the basement! We decided the best way to come back from a long break is to look back and reflect on the best and worst of video games of 2022. Come listen to the Basement Gaming Awards(TM) as we give out our accolades for best game of 2022 and much more!

Lost Ark, an ARPG MMO from South Korea and published by Amazon, released last week to record settings numbers. We discuss why the game has been so popular and our first impressions of the new MMO on the block.
We've heard the complains. We understand some of you haven't enjoyed our negative rhetoric towards Weeb -- I mean Japanese games. This week we interview Patrick, a hardcore fan of JRPG games, to help us understand what is it about JRPGs that people enjoy so much, and how we can get into them as well.
This week we bring on Alec, a casual gamer who balances playing games while being a Dad. We discuss what makes casual gamers tick, and how they view the gaming industry in contrast to the perspective of a hardcore gamer. We also discuss Sony's intent to purchase Bungie, and what that a means for the future of gaming (and possibly the metaverse?!)

Rockstar announced the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remastered, and it's coming out this November! We discuss how big of a deal this is, and what it says about the future of the GTA franchise.
