With Dr. Mitchell's concern for spiritual lessons in Exodus, we continue in chapter 17 verse 8.

In reviewing the battle with the Amalekites, we are reminded The Lord is our Banner.

Jesus our Savior is our advocate and intercessor and mediator before God who is also for us. Why would God be "for" us? Because Christ died and rose again on our behalf. If God be "for" us, who can be against us? No one! Christ Himself effectively prays for us that our faith may not fail. Jesus is Lord and God answers His prayers.

Next, Moses receives counsel from his father in law, Jethro, a Gentile, about the need for an organizational structure that addresses Moses's need and that of the people of Israel.

With our teacher, Dr. Mitchell, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast, let's open our Bible to Exodus chapter 17 verse 8 .
