We are in Matthew 25:14-30, the third parable of Jesus concerning the kingdom of heaven. Once again, we see the question of faithfulness to the Lord. He gives to each one according his own ability.

In view of His coming, each one is called to be faithful to the Lord and He will reward each one accordingly.

Two of the servants received the same commendation and the same reward and the same joy of the Lord.

But the worthless and faithless servant received no commendation or reward or joy.

So, Dr. Mitchell gives a short overview of 5 judgments in Scripture before examining this judgment of the sheep and goats.
