Let’s face it, alcohol is a big part of your 20’s, and almost everyone drinks. My intentions are not to convince you to go sober. My ultimate goal is to help guide those of you who are in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s…who don’t drink, are thinking about going alcohol free, or just want to drink less in general, gain a new perspective on drinking and why you shouldn’t care about going against the social norm.
Why should you listen to a random 24 year old…? Alcohol made me go through the worst of times, but taught me the best lessons at a very young age.
Let’s figure this out together :)
I am absolutely THRILLED to talk to today's guest, George Youmans, Co-Founder of Hiyo.
Prior to joining Hiyo full-time in January 2021, George spent five years in the food and beverage industry. Previously, he worked for the CPG titan Red Bull specializing in entertainment and music marketing. After recognizing the cognitive dissonance he felt selling such an unhealthy beverage, he moved to SnackNation (now Caroo) where he assisted emerging snack brands in creating go-to-market strategies utilizing data, sampling, and market insights.

Today, I am joined by Caitlin Owens. Caitlin was born and raised in Pickens, South Carolina. She describes herself as," A wild teenager," where she had to quickly grow up around things she shouldn’t have been exposed to. Caitlin met her husband 11 years ago who saved her life. They have two beautiful kids, Mack and CJ.
Substance abuse met Caitlin at around 14, and after having her children, she realized she wasn’t being the mom or wife that she had the potential of being. Natalie shares her story on Tik Tok (@girl.gonemild) where she talks about her struggles moderating alcohol, how she knew it was time to stop drinking, and what life looks like as a sober 26 year old living in San Diego.
